Sooo! Any interesting news in the last 11 hours? Already saw Gamble's tweet...

What did it say?

He specifically asked if anyone noticed differences in the memorial wall scene after Destroy.

After "shepard lives" destroy ;)

Maybe worth taking a closer look at the two scenes?

Btw, consider how easily the crwmates declare Shepard KIA. In Me2 Liara spent a long time searching for Shepard.

Yes, could be worth it but what would you expect to find there?

I think it's more than just the destroy memorial scene, look at this tweet conversation: https://twitter.com/...204322146684928

Well, you know, this might not be a real funeral. Posted Image
Also, putting like 20+ characters in one scene could really stretch console/PC resources. Posted Image

IMHO, that's bullsh*t. Maybe there won't be the war Synthetics vs. Organics anymore, but there can still be wars. It's not like they're all friends now.

The asari talking to the child explains that as well, that  because of the information, they manage to destroy the reapers, (or gain peace)

Yeah, like if you signed a death certificate. Posted Image And then the child's voice (as if being a narrator) saying "The cycle continues."

I know about that leaked stuff, but yet. . . something bugging me. That phrase "It was our gift for you" And then " Keep you ears open", because more gifts? Because you will hear the truth? Bah...I think it's just me overthinking it.

By the way, who else thinks that in Destroy, the LI should have done the talking instead of Hackett? Would have been more emotional...

That wouldn't stop wars, but killing organics.
Synthesis is the most retarded choice.

Anyone still think that IT was BW's original intention for ME3?

Didn't "Final hours" covered this months ago? They intented to indoctrinate Shep and we didn't get to know if they dropped the idea or not.

I meant in light of the EC

What's the difference EC makes?  They may have changed their original intention or sticked with it, but regardless of the intention the endings and the narrative are now essentially the same - extended.

It also suggests that the people in the scene might not even be the following cycle, but a few cycles ahead.

The SP DLCs might add War Assets and allies to Shepard's army. At some point in the future chosing Reject won't mean losing the war as Liara's hologram recalls in the closing cinematic.

Anyway, Reject is an intriguing addition to the endings we've got in ME3. It clearly shows that BioWare changed the ending, at least superficially. The only justification for Reject not compromising their artistic integrity is if its outcome is the same as one of the original endings. In IT that would be Destroy.

It's making me feel trolled. But part of me kind of enjoys it .

I quite liked the EC ending sequences. The new citadel mission was, ahem, interesting, and I actually really enjoyed the epilogue. Lance Henriksen and Krogan babies can compensate for quite a lot of narrative dissonance it seems :P. So many unanswered questions still though, and IT remains, for me at least, still very much a possibility in one form or another. Synthesis still seems nonsensical to me but I can get around that by just picking something else.

And whatever the future brings, we will always have our speculations :D.

As for the Leviathan DLC, those snippets of conversation have me intrigued and I doubt I will be able to keep my wallet closed when the time comes.

Not exactly connected to IT but the little bits of dialogue that have been found on the Leviathan of Dis DLC at first I was going to put down to simply being something overlooked by someone at BW, however I've found models of new weapon mods that will possibly be added in that DLC, fully textured and everything. That's not something easily overlooked, one of the new mods is an omni-blade attachment for assault rifles and shotguns :D

I think the background voices are supposed to represent the resp. choices' themes. So, besides adding at least some emotion, an LI narrated Destroy epilogue wouldn't really be fitting.

Now, Morgan Freeman as narrator, that would've been sweeet!

Starbinger would have been more acceptable as played by Morgan Freeman
he would then give Shepard the power to control the Reapers to stop his constant nagging
Shepard would abuse the Reapers for his personal goals and learn important life lessons

Well if they did change from intending IT originally to one that bolsters a face-value explanation and sidelines IT in the EC, then you have to ask why that is. Many ITers are very quick to say that "IT has massive support!", yet BW's actions show otherwise.

If the Catalyst was voiced by Morgan Freeman, I think all options would sound like gold and bioware would never had made EC. We'd all just be indoctrinated by Morgan Freeman!
