A high EMS refusal option where you actually win.... why is it so hard for them to do?

Because showing it would outright deny IT which they don't want.

I'm going to be real... IT is still an amazing interpretation, the one that I will always believe, but the hope that Bioware will ever embrace it died with the E.C..

BW said they will neither confirm nor deny the IT.

of course they wont. that would alienate customers.

but i dont see any waking up from an indoctrinated state in the ec, so i guess they pretty much confirmed it: no indoctrination.

I don't see why you guys are being so hard on paxxton. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. You guys are being no better than the literalists who call you stupid for your ideas. Why doesn't his idea have as much merit as yours, who decides that, you? If you disagree that's fine I do too but saying he looks stupid is too far.

IT  has conclusive evidence. harbinger saying the word "it"  is not conclusive in any way.

I'm not saying it's good evidence I'm saying that telling him you look stupid and you shouldn't post anymore is not the way to react, especially because literalists have done the same thing to you guys for questionable evidence of IT and you should know how that feels

< anyone seen the LOW EMS destroy ending? on 34 mins they find Shepard's Helmet on earth :) (loves clutching at "straws")

Well First of all Shepard's helmet is on earth because he losses it in Harby beam explosion. Second, its not Shepards helmet, you can see aliance colors and aliance sign on the top part of helmet. Interesting find, but I think it's a reference to how many soldiers died fighting. Dont think its Shepards helmet.

And everyone stop being rude to Paxxton he is only trying to give hope to IT and we have already lost a lot of Support from the Past EC do we really need to lose another one of us who as no Doubt been with us since IT was born.

And I don't me we have but we lost good people but we gain some new friends.

Masster blaster, there is literally no one  stupid enough to go "I no longer believed in IT, but then Paxxton pointed out that godchild used the word 'it' and now I believe again!"

It's not merely the usage of that word. You have to see the big picture. Why was the EC created? How the Catalyst says it? Why BioWare decides to include that particular phrase knowing that IT is a great theory that consumes BSN? Why he changes his voice only for that phrase (a kind of emphasis)?

While playing EC I noticed the phrase "This is it" comes up countless times. I thought it was odd.

This has nothing to do with what Paxxton said, btw, but I wouldn't mind seeing him get excited about this information.

LOL. Do you see!? The Catalyst says "So be it." !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Maybe it's a message from BioWare, a hint !!!!!!!!!!!!!! They are considering IT and wink to the IT community by playing with words. Plus, the Rejection option was clearly added based on fan feedback. Proof: shooting the Catalyst was viral on BSN in March.

BioWare added the Rejection option in the EC because they see the potential in IT but to not give it away completely they camouflaged it in the Catalyst's short answer. Adding the bassy voice further distracts the player from the actual meaning because you concentrate on the sudden change in his voice rather than on discovering what it might mean that he says.

The most obvious things are always the easiest to miss. "So be IT."

Your saying if somebody says "it" that is winking at the IT community.
"So be it" is just his reaction to shepard not picking anything.

Come on, listen to yourself. Out of all the possible responses they can make for a REAPER-VOICE CHANGE, it's a three-word liner, and it ends with an IT (Indoctrination Theory)

There's literally millions of possible other replies he could have made, and ironically it does end with the popular Indoctrination Theory, with also the Reaper-voice, which is hinted that the Starchild is not what he appears to be. The fact there's a sudden voice-change means that he could have talked with Shepard with that voice, but that wouldn't be very persuasive would it? Infact, all he's doing is putting up a charade to smooth-talk Shepard into what he actually desires.

Come on. ^_^

I think the  "SO BE IT" definitely means something, but just the word it still means nothing.
How else would have he said it?

Hell, yeah!!!

Shepard as a Reaper can still die, which makes me wonder if Shepard ever dies in Control but as a Reaper does that mean the God child comes back and the Cycle continus? Just a thought I would like to point out.

It did for me.... Most of the smaller clues are gone, or just replaced with slightly less confusing scenes... The final scenes don't seem like shepards dream anymore, just an actual epilogue.

I'm just done waiting for them to un-drop the ball. I'm going to start waiting for Prey 2 because that will be the next good deep space sci-fi game IMO.

Maybe telling him not to post was bad.... I should said.... "don't post things with no basis whatsoever."

Oh, my God, you did it. Not particularly you, mind you, but someone. You actually used the pronoun "it" in the sentence "So be it" as evidence in support of IT? Please tell me that is not so.

Are you happy now paxxton?? Lol

Half the time I think Paxxton is just a very committed troll.

After the first IT thread got locked due to someone making penis jokes, Paxxton made an IT support thread called UNIT, and was all 'Oh, I totally didnt see how UNIT could be seen as a penis joke too!'

And now this ridiculous 'OMG harby said the word it. Totally means Indoctrination Theory!' that just makes us look ridiculous.

Also, he supports Control.

But most of the time Paxxton is an ok guy, so I dont really know.

The idea is still viable in the spectrum of interpretation, but temper your expectations.

Well, I would lie if I said that mod message doesn't upset me a bit. But, if IT's predictions are correct, then they will have to comment on it in some way to actually end the war with the Reapers.

That's a fact.

Funny thing is that mod said exactly what I said a week ago.

He refered to IT as a fan made theory and it is. Even if IT is correct, the Indoctrination THEORY is still fan made as opposed to the Indoctrination Plot Twist Ending that we're all waiting for. That one is made by Bioware. Hopefully.

That post says nothing we don't already know. They won't comment on IT.

He can't die because he embodies the collective intelligence of the Reapers. Until all are destroyed he lives on within them.

The old Catalyst ceases to be after Shepard replaces him.

The literary interpretation will always be here and it's what I'll always believe. Of course Shep has some indoctrination there, simply because of all his time around reapers... please refer to the codex: "The effects are permanent and irreversible."

Yes, but there is something like indirectly confirming parts of it. If he meant commenting on IT as a whole, then yes I agree, but my brain read that as 'partially' comment on it.

Argh, it's all too much talking about semantics....and those Anti-ITer seem to have a negative influence on my morale. :P

Okay my friend’s finished cleaning up the audio. The Harbinger talking bit definitely sounds like ‘Serve Us’ and the ‘So be it’ line isn’t the starbrat talking from what we can tell. It doesn’t sound like Harbinger either. It sounds more feminine to me. I’ve uploaded three files here, two ‘serve us’ lines at slightly different pitches and speeds and the ‘so be it’ line.

http://www.mediafire...u8n01f0asnzldi8

I’m heading off now so happy speculating.

Reapeating constantly "This is it" gives it a new meaning "This isn't really it". Hence IT was born.

Ooo I'll add to it a bit:

"IT is inevitable" How many times did reapers say that? The child?

Mark my words, Bioware will not forever leave the current thematic disasters referred to as "endings" as they are. They would lose a lot of players that actually play BW games for the story. Including me.
