We don't want a Mark III. So stay civil...for Suggestive Shep's sake. You wouldn't want to see him getting all naughty...

No but seriously guys, this thread isnt about raging over the state of the endings. It's about discussing the theory.
He's so....suggestive...it's hard to focus on how ****ty the endings were. I think we should listen to suggestive shepard and continue to discuss indoctrination and how bioware continues to show up at our door with a brand new copy of ME3 and than simply ****** on our feet...

Apologies. I've had a good rant brewing for months now and I had to let a bit of it out.
Ho hum. What to discuss then? It's hard to think of something when Shep's looking at me like that.

My opinion of the Reaper origins remains the same.
Buuuuut...... what if Leviathan is the second Reaper, with Harbinger being the oldest, formed of accident and upheaval as explained in my Birth of the Reapers theory?
Arian, I think that your theory still has alot of merits...and that the Catalyst's statements about both his origin and the Reaper's origin could fit in (w/very few changes). If we are not dismissing your theory but polishing the details...it is possible to say that Harbinger and Leviathan were created at the same time - one representing the the first cycles organics (Leviathan) and the other the synthetics (Harbinger). And much of the conflict that we see in each cycle are these two similar but opposing forces pushing against each other?

Yeah, I could agree these could be opposites. Even though all reapers are part synthetic, part organic I could believe this ratio could be pushed either way. Alpha and Omega. Cain and Able. Positive and Negative. There are always opposites, so why not with Reapers??

Harbinger, like every other Reaper is a techno organic hybrid.
He is organic. His brain is wetware.

If not pleasing everyone as good as possible, what did the EC do wrong?
If you don't agree with the 'literal' endings, then look at the gazillion, polished hints for IT. If you don't agree with IT, then try to explain the 'literal' endings with the nice logic provided by the Catalyst.
To me, the EC made both of my sides happy: the IT sceptic and the literal sceptic. They baked a cake with all flavours for everyone to, unlike the Crucible, not discriminate anyone. And people are complaining how no one got a full cake of their own.
Or, that's my opinion. I think everybody should be pleased to some level.

There won't be any new endings for Mass Effect 3. Let's face it. If BioWare plans for IT, it'll be revealed in Mass Effect 4. No sooner, no later.plfranke wrote...

C'mon people, they aren't a charity to give everything away for free. We've already got 3 DLCs at no cost.
As for DLCs, I bet they'll enhance the game in a similar way From Ashes did.

Well, it DID seem like they made Mark Meer's voice in the Catalyst dialogue easier to hear.

Yes. I noticed it too. But I struggle even more now to hear Hale's. Maybe it's to similar to StarkidDwailing wrote...

Then I will post Conspiracy Keanu only if in a Femshep playthrough it's Jennifer Hale's voice.

Well, to be fair for analysis it would be accurate to go all the way from 0% to 100% and see what we get. If that is possible. Also try the Harbinger lines. Slow them down or mess with them. The results could be interesting. I would but I lack the tech to do it. Thanks!!

I couldn't care less what you meant by dev you don't get to just make up your own meanings for things. Someone will come on not seeing your clarification post and read the one saying "bioware dev says this or that" it's misleading and I don't have time for it.jgibson14352 wrote...

Latest rumor I heard was that there's going to be a DLC wherein Shep meets a "rogue Reaper," which will reveal more about the Reapers' creators and hints strongly that they were operating on flawed logic......which is pretty much what I've been saying. <_<
