@TSA_383 They came from Facebook, as far as I can remember.

What came from Facebook?

The clues.

NUFIING TO SEE HERE: MOVE ARONG PREASE.

Someone quoted someone else from a year before yesterday. The post talked about clues BioWare left for players to decipher. There were numbers and an album's name. Deduction pointed to a planet in ME2 (I don't remember the name) and to a song London Calling (which is a vague explanation of the events in the ending of ME3).

The planet name might be nice, if you could find it.

The planet's name is Aequitas. There supposed to be an indoctrination device on it that Shepard has to destroy in ME2.

The clues to the London Calling song, and possibly a planet you can't visit in 3 that had an indoc device on it in 2.

That particular Indoctrination device just happends to be the exact same object that you find in The Arrival DLC, aká Object Rho.

Soooo, unless someone just completely falsified everything, this would definitely seem to be evidence in favor of IT.

The QR code clues

1. BioWare are releasing QR codes with apparent clues to their next game. These can be found on their Twitter account, Facebook page, advertisements, and elsewhere. This will be updated as new codes and clues arrive.

2. First code is here. It reads as the binary code '001101010011010100101110001110000011010000110101'. This, when converted to ASCII is '55.845'. The meaning for this number is unknwon, however it is likely that it is referencing the atomic weight of an iron atom, which shares the same value.

3. Second code is here. It reads as the binary code '0010110100110001001100100011100000101110001101011011000001000110'. This, when converted to ASCII is '-128.5°F'. This is approximately the coldest temperature recorded naturally on Earth, at Vostok, Antarctica.

4. Third code is here. It reads as the binary code '0110100001110100011101000111000000111010001011110010111101110111011101110111011100101110011100110110100101110011001011100110011101101111011101100010111001110101011010110010111101101111011101010111010001110000011101010111010000101111011100110110100101110011001011010110100001101111011011010110010100101101011101110110010101101100011000110110111101101101011001010010111001101000011101000110110101101100'. This, when converted to ASCII is this URL. The website is for the Secret Intelligence Service of the UK. This is not BioWare's website, so there are unlikely to be many if any clues on the website itself.

5. Fourth QR code was found on BioWare's Facebook page. It can be found here. When decoded, it gives this url. The URL links to an image of a The Clash album, specifically The Singles. There is no additional information.

6. Fifth QR code was found oN BioWare's Facebook page. It can be found here. When decoded, it gives this url. The website displays this image, specifically a red herring.

7. Like any good puzzle, we dont know for sure what all these bits and pieces mean. However, if we are to run with Mass Effect, it is interesting to note that in Mass Effect 2 there appears a planet called Aequitas. The official description of this planet has it's surface temperature as -89.1°C, which is approximately -128.5°F, Additionally, the planet is described as having 'famous Iron Canyons'. This planet, in Mass Effect, is the only obvious referencing of both of the number clues. The third code linking to the SIS website may indcate that the SIS headquarters, or the rough location, appear in the teaser trailer, as the SIS headquaters are here, and the positioning of the bridge and fence look very similar to this shot from the teaser. What The Clash - The Singles means is a little confusing, however The Clash is a British band, which ties in nicely with the previous SIS Headquarters/Vauxhall Bridge clue. Of note, and this may not mean anything, Mass Effect's prominent figure David Anderson was born in London. The most recent clue, the 'red herring', would imply that somewhere along the lines we have been given false information. Perhaps this game is not leaning towards Mass Effect at all.

Aequitas glows in some playthroughs...
There's no mission there...

It just glows...
I assumed it was a glitch...
That planet had a mission where you destroyed a Reaper indoctrination device...
No way...

This is the post from yesterday.

Reading through some of this just reminded me of some of the scenes from "Fight Club"...in particular the ending sequence where Edward Norton Jr. shoots himself through the cheek in order to "kill" Brad Pitt (this of course relating to the Anderson shot/Shepard clutching the wound thing)...

@ AD, you marketing timeline theory is brillant!

I agree with most here that IT seems more and more plausible each day that evidence is teased out of the game, and find it hard to believe/understand that there are still people that do want to even give IT a second thought.

As fas as the highlighted portion of the architecture from Object Rho, I think what the poster was trying to get at (and I could be wrong), is that the unindentified piece of rubble looks eerily similar to the structure of reaper tech/artifact that was clearly capable of indoctrination...perhaps Shepard does cause something to actually blow-up and what it was that device - the last "dream" imgaes that we see are a last ditch indoctrination effort to place fear/doubt in Shepard's unconscious mind - which (if EMS is low enough) results in Shepard not having the willpower to go on, hence no "breath scene".

First I wanted to bump this post from earlier to see if anyone had any comments...

Second,  time and time again it has been siad that math is the uiversal language.  Look at the movie Contact, they recieved a coded message with a crap load of data in it and didn't have a clue what to do with it, until they deciphered the message and realized that it was math.  Once they figured that out there were able to build incredibly complex machine w/o much knowledge of how it worked or what it did - they just knew what to do b/c the math told them that much...I always assumed the Crucible plans were similar.

Edit: Ninja'd by Batman Turian

Bumping this again...I think it deserves discussion.Posted Image

Is it just me, or do all these hints and speculation units (yeah, new unit of measurement), we collected over the two threads make anyone who wholeheartedly still remains anti-IT, basically sound like a troll?

(Just checking if I've remained scientificly objective or got biased by the speculations)

I find it hard to believe that the people that are anti-IT, are so anti, that they won't even give it the time of day...afterall it is still a theory (damn good one if you ask me) - but it seems to most that are anti-IT that even considering IT is sacrilege...

Just played through arrival again the other day, and noticed in the logs during the mission that people were complaining of dreams.....more evidence for indoctrination.

I'm assuming this has already been discussed anyone got a link to more info/discussion on it.

LOL. I was replaying Mars on NG+ playthrough. Green things popped up on screen where Eva is first introduced that looked like the dream foliage. There seems to be a glitch because next time it wasn't there.

It seems that the "Dream Foliage" is an asset that was reused quite a bit...I know that I have seen it in the dreams; I saw that someone (on this thread) saw it on the part of Tuchanka where there was some green growing again; and of course on the end sequence planet. It would not surprise me if people continue to look for it that they find it in other locations as well.

I admit, that it might've popped up earlier. This is my first NG+ playthrough with my ME1ME2ME3 Shep. I know, you posted it, but could you please repeat where you noticed it pop up in your various imports?

more interesting evidence that the Citadel may be emitting a low level indoctrination signal aimed at pacifying the populace. It's always Vega who notices.

Besides the obvious " it's peaceful but it's just not right" quote, I had a conversation with him in the embassies near the elevator after talking to the council after the Mars mission and Vega says something like " it's no wonder the Council won't help you, look at this place. There's no war here. " Then your Shepaerd says whatever. I did the Paragon and my Shepard said it is hard to believe that the war is happening. THEN Vega says " I know, puh... It's like this place makes you want to forget the war."

Makes you want to forget the war... I'm convinced more than ever that the Citadel is not what it seems.
