Well i know that the red cinematics/instruction to load them are certainly present in the ending files for green blue AND red. Whether or not they're actually implemented...

Course, the last thing I noticed like this was Shep's Predator model in destroy ending, and that proved fruitful, so ;)

Certainly did. Thats one of the most compelling finds we've had in a while! Good job. :)

I said a month ago ago in a local forum that he was using a Predator in Destroy, but everybody said I was mad, so I just abandoned the idea. Nice to know I was not crazy

Yeah... I stay out of 'local' forums because of that kind of stuff. Just stick to the English ones if you're fluent in that language, anyway.

It's only changed in the very last scene so most miss it. Just give them a screenshot that shows them that.

I'll show them te screenshot. It's not that hard to see, the white part of the Predator becomes very clear, especially like in the screenshot, with the flames.

Also I've noticed a few people adding the Carnifex -> Predator conversion to the list of "Design Oversights".

I'd just like to say that I dont think there are any design oversights in the entire ending sequence. They said before the game was released that the end sequence was going to be "choreographed down to the second".

I think that every single thing in the end sequence is exactly how they want it (except for the "wrapping shadow" on the elevator, because it's an unavoidable glitch endemic to the game engine).

Yeah, it's beyond weird that the guns suddenly are swapped in the same damn scene! That hasn't happened before in the game, if I recall correctly!

Now I'm suddenly bombarded with theories of "Knowing."  What if the entire ME3 game is Shepard seeing the future?

Ugh...

I for one would be quite intrigued if Mass Effect 3 turned out to be a dream like LOST. Provided there'd be the proper game released in the future. But honestly I don't think this is going to happen.

Bought this across also, the obvious weapon switch from Carnifex to Predator

In the last cutscene before where Shep is shooting at the tank, he was using a carnifex. I'm absolutely sure of that. Strange that it suddendly switches to a predator just as the tank exploded.

P.S: Good to see you guys and the IT-thread again...

Ignore the Predator in her holster, it's only already there because I reloaded, but the weapon switch happens in any case.

Thanks for the pics. Just as I thought.  Another "glitch" from BW  :D

Well in some cases the game uses default weapons in certain cutscenes. For example during the missile launcher sequence in London, one of your squadmates is using an Avenger assault rifle to lay down covering fire regardless of which weapons they have equipped.

I dont think that can be used as an argument that the Carnifex -> Predator switch is a design oversight, though. The game specifically loads the Predator asset only for the Destroy ending, and not the other two. And the moment at which it is switched seems very deliberate and plays very well into the IT context.

Just some thoughts for you folk to mull over, first lets remember EDI can lie www.youtube.com/watch
Next, this is a piece of the video I made at TIM's base, note the reaper growl at the beginning of EDI's sentence(right at the start of the video), then again as she mentions the central core as if to reinforces what EDI is saying www.youtube.com/watch

Just a reminder, this is pertaining to my headcanon regarding the crucible being a reaper trap.

Another thing suddenly came to mind with IT....

If Destroy is the "right" ending, and we only the the breath scene with a high enough EMS, why does the high EMS unlock Synthesis? Or am I remembering incorrectly?

about this "squadmates get avengers and predators in cutscenes", yeah, I know that. That has been like this ever since ME2. But when you see a cutscene start, they always have those weapons equipped to begin with. In the destroy cutscene, the commander starts out with a carnifex in the beginning, but suddenly changes it to the predator in the same cutscene!

THAT is what I think is weird about it!

When Anderson says "They're controlling you", he looks directly at the camera (which is currently Shepard's POV) upon saying the word "You".
You can see this in video form here.

You get the synthesis ending with 3000 EMS, if I remember correctly, and the "Shepard alive" scene with either 4000 EMS if you saved Anderson, or with 5000 if you didn't.

I think the reason behind synthesis being available later on is because it's the ultimate form of indoctrination. I mean, in synthesis, you more or less agree with the reapers' motivations, which is to merge synthetic and organic life together into one being.

I have moved my Indoctrination guide to it's own dedicated site with a more logical name. Had no idea it was going to be so large or so popular when I started it.

Now I can add even more detailed analysis and new sections.

It's still very early and I will be adding and improving a lot tomorrow and over the following days, but here it is for now -

Thanks everyone

Seems with Shepards infamous willpower that the Reapers wouldnt be able to indoctrinate Shepard intellectually, hence why up until the end, they are only trying to manipulate his subconscious emotionally.

Only after taking a massive blow from Harbinger, is he weak enough to attempt a direct attack on his conscious mind.
Meaning indoctrination may have started in earnest at object Rho, but only culminated at Harbingers beam

What I also find interesting about this, is how Anderson says "They're controlling you."

If you listen, you can clearly hear how much emphasis he puts on the "you" part. That makes it sound kinda like this: They're controlling YOU."

And guess what? When Anderson says "you," he looks directly at you, the player.

THAT is interesting!:P

New Indoc theory proof.... as harbinger flies up into the air, when you immediately see the pistol on the ground - press right trigger! That pistol is definitely just my mind firing the bullets!

Yup. DJBare has a hell of good eyes... I've seen the scene tens of times and never noticed it. I was trying to see if there was a possibility that Shep could somehow survive the tank explosion (dunno maybe an intervention of the brat or someting like that). Naturally I never found anything that could lead to this...
