Hello,

I will try to ask as better as I can my 2 questions and here because i am quite agree with the topic title : Shepard indoctrination.

On the end on just before the encounter with TIM and Admiral Anderson :

1 Why, when we go back to see the command panel we don't see Anderson while he were there before ?
2 Why we don't fall in the holes on the road between the shadow broker's electricty place ?

To illustrate because of my approximative english i took a screen : imageshack.us/f/403/tempme3.png/

Sorry for my english errors, and i am glad to see a speculation post on this game.

1. That's very interesting alright. I think it might just be that the game engine hasn't rendered him yet. Though I would have expected them to better pace the approach in that case so you don't see that.

2. I'm not sure they are "holes" as such.

2. It's difficult to see when you're standing on them, since after getting shot by Harby, you conventiently can't look down, anymore. But you can see that they're holes, while standing on the slopes.

It doesn't mention Leviathan of Dis at all. Just Leviathan.

But we already know the Leviathan of Dis is a Reaper. I doubt BioWare would make two different Reapers and call them both Leviathan.

I am also thinking Harby is saying Cerberus rather than serve us, save us, or join us.

I just listened to that file 20 times, and I didn't Cerberus even once. It sounded like "Se-erve Us," "Serve with Us," or "Service Us" to me.

This. Though they did make some endings that are oddly similar Posted Image

hmm there is an oddity with the Destroy Conduit (apart from naming it Conduit, just like the Beam, like you destroy the Beam) when you don't aim at it directly it shows up as an object you could interact with:

Leviathan, as I said before, was the original Cerberus ship that you were going to have in ME2 until they decided to instead rebuild the Normandy (Source: The Final Hours app). It could be a legacy throughback to that? Just an idea. I'm likely way off on that.

So Harby either thinks Shep is a Reaper mechanic or is asking for sexual favors?

Unless Leviathan isn't a name, it's the species that first became Reapers.

The one we've heard about came from Dis.

Didn't Control also had an interaction symbol, such that I had to push the space to 'choose' it (which is silly, as my Shepard is magically approaching it on his own, and can't go back again).

No. (They are one of the inspirations for the Reapers btw)

Yes it does, but you have to press space, not backspace :P

So the choice lockdown is still present in the EC?

Well, as long as you did it For Science! and not because you think control is absolutely awesome like Paxxton does.

Check if you can still shoot the Catalyst after that.

Both, lol. But seriously, it's pretty much "Serve with" or "Se-erve"

Listening back to the speed/pitch edits, it's more clear that it's Serve Us. Definitely not "One of us" or "Cerberus."

What's the "choice lockdown"? You mean if you walk close enough you can't go back?

I'm pretty sure it didn't, as Dis is the name of the city in hell that contains circles six through nine. It's just a nickname given to it to show it should be feared or that it is evil.
