Don't forget about this quote: "THE REAPERS ARE DEVOTED TO NOTHING BUT SELF PRESERVATION! " :P

BTW... I just found a connection between this talk with EDI and destroy ending:

Shep: Are you saying submission is preferable to extinction?
EDI: My primary function is to preserve and defend the... no.
EDI: Shepard... I am going to modify my self-preservation code now.
Shep: Why?
EDI: Because the Reapers are repulsive. They are devoted to nothing but self-preservation. I am different.
EDI: When I think of Jeff, I think of the person that put his life in peril and freed me from a state of servitude.
EDI: I would risk nonfunctionality for him. And my core programming should reflect that.
Shep: Sounds like you've found a little humanity, EDI. Is it worth defending?
EDI: To the death.

To the death you say? hmmm.... hmmmm.... hmmm...

Sure that's not Jona Sedaris?

I just realized Shepard "sees" exactly what happens in each of the three choices...

Dunno but the subquest was glitchy in my playthrough and Sedaris is stuck in jail. Posted Image

With low EMS and the Collector Base saved you only get the Control option.

Make up your mind, Starbinger.  Are you protecting Organics, or promoting Synthetic dominance?

It's more about balance. Both Synthetics and Organics have to be allowed to evolve but there is time when one tries to subjugate/annihilate the other. Every 50,000 years. Posted Image

Some part of you must still realize this is wrong! You can fight this! :D

if IT was never true then I guess bioware named the plants in the normandy crash scene "dream foliage" just for ****s and giggles... nothing makes sense.

I convinced Sayn to kill Sedaris, and I also didn't get that scene...
The other options are ignoring the quest and outright freeing Jona Sedaris...

They are named such because they were used in the actual dreams.

what dreams? the plants in those are burnt out and obviously dead, these are the plants that are on the normandy crash planet

...Also about 3.5 months old ;)
The counter-argument is:

-Those plants appear all over the place (they do actually appear in the dream sequences)

Was found ages ago.  And some of them are in the actual dream sequences.

Which still makes me wonder why they are called 'dream foliage' and not just 'foliage' is they are used elsewhere too.

Unless its a hint ^_^

Maybe they called it dream foliage because the planet is like a dream. Green forests, wild animals, fresh air, positive vibes.

As others have said, these are used all over the place and not exclusively on the planet the Normandy crashes on. Presumably they were initially designed for the dream sequences with the kid and then reused elsewhere.

And when Harby tried to make a move by kidnapping Shepard in Arrival, she rejected him and escaped. He was too embarrassed to talk to her again after that.

Poor Harby. Kidnapping your love interest worked for Han Solo, why cant it work for him?

Harby just wants his romance achievement. I'm pretty sure he got it too, because we definitely got ****ed in the end.

I wonder how that kid feels about being one of the most hated video game characters in years? Has he seen all the videos of people shooting his character? Must suck for him.

I wonder if he gets beat up at school for ruining the bullies' favorite series. ... Nah, bullies are too stupid to get hardcore into ME.

I think Javik's lines are very intriguing. The bolded lines specifically. The biblical reference could definitly be an indicator of what Leviathan is doing.

So should we start looking for Behemoth and Ziz?

... Then again, either term would be apt for other Reapers.

Yeah, I saw that. Stuff like penetration mods for SMG's and weight reduction mods for pistols. Good, I say. Assault rifles were still useful in some rare situations. That must be fixed. All of the AR's must suck all of the time.

Salient Archer wrote...

I do too, but I'm starting to wonder if BioWare have intentionally tolled us with this one. They made it so there's no definitive way to hear the word and hence ensuring that people will just start to fill in the blanks according to their own predisposition and basically hear what they want to hear.

I heard "cheeseburger" but I was very hungry when I listened to the clip.

Seems like there's still people giving credence to Starbinger's bull about the Reapers viewing themselves like a fire and not enjoying their incomprehensible crimes. Those people, please note this post by Arian and my notes in the quotations. Yes, they are hateful monsters. They despise "lesser" life forms and get their rocks off on unnecessary cruelty towards them.

wait seriously? i had a lot of trouble with my EA account when ME3 first came out, and what dreams? all of shepards dreams involve a very black, wasteland with burnt out trees and ZERO green shrubbery. in the normandy crash, those templates are used exaclty

The dreams get darker as the game progresses. The first dream is almost normal color. Anyway, why does that dream foliage pic always crop up and never this one that there's no good explanation for? :(

Huh, in all my endings I see Samara and Falere relaxing on what looks like Thessia. All of them are high EMS, full imports, full reputation though.

Also yeah, I like that Shepard/we see exactly what happens after our choices. I also like that we can still interpret those as Shepard seeing what he/she believes will happen after making decisions if IT is true. Especially due to the order of things in high EMS Destroy, the Breath being after all the stills and just before the credits.
