Wow. I hadn't even noticed that Shepard loses all his guns when the squad leaves. Weird.
It looks like his gun disappears once the squadmates almost get hit with the Mako. He's holding one right before that when he's dodging the Mako that almost hits him. And it's not at his waist either-it's just gone.

In the first dream, Shepard has all of his guns, in the second and third, not anymore. Furthermore, in the third dream, bizarro-Shepard is in his casual wear.

FF to the beam run: Shepard has his guns, squad gets hit => Shepard loses all his guns. Then is shot down, and after that is nearly naked.

The guns very likely represent his willpower; the uniform must also be something like his stamina.

And whether flycam is valid evidence or not: the gunswap becomes really visible for everyone only with flycam. So I'd say, Coats being there is now amongs that rank of WTF evidence.

Personally, I just no longer see IT as being necessary. I find the endings we have work... well, sufficiently, at the very least.

Does seem odd that they would make him disappear after...would that be called an easter egg?

Uh, Rifneno, please show TSA some respect.  He's given us some very discussion worthy things in the past, and I think he's earned the right for us to NOT jump down his throat the moment he says something we don't necessarily agree with.

There's a difference between making a statement about the game that I "don't necessarily agree with" and trying to use me as a posterboy for a psychological defense mechanism.  He showed me no respect, I will show him none.  I truly can't stand people who think reading an article while waiting in the line at the grocery store qualifies them to vomit psychobabble at everyone on the internet.

Should probably be noted that it's the default casual wear if I'm not mistaken. Not the customized casual wear. Despite the armor always being customized. Except after getting shot by Harbinger.

It's not that they left it in for the EC, they actively went and added it. Its a fly cam of the keeper you see removing the helmet when you first get to the citadel, but in the cinematic view all you see is the helmet.

It's like theyre trying to give us more clues that something is wrong with Coats.

Another big one? That short convo you have with Coats after arriving at the FOB is the only "normal" conversation in the entire game that you can not skip.

What do you mean with "normal" ?
Ones without dialog wheel ?

Ones without scene-changing cinematic elements. Those are the only ones that cant be skipped, except for that one with major coats.

So that scene with Coats, is that the helmet we see being removed by the keeper right before Shepard lands on the Citadel? If yes, is it possible to see that body once you take control of Shepard?

Greeeeat.  Now the literalists have some fuel for that "IT'ers are just fanficing because they didn't like the ending" nonsense they love so much.

It was never a question of necessity.  Even if it was, the ending grossly violates known lore at every turn.  And synthesis is the least scientific thing since whenever Tom Cruise's last interview was.

Wait. What? The guns are there in the first dream?

The gunshots changing as Shepard shoots is obvious though, even if the actual gunswap is pretty much impossible to see normally.

I agree with the guns=willpower idea.

Is a filename or anything for the new armor he gets in the end after the beam hits?

I think it's great that the EC added enough content to give everyone enough reason to stay with their opinion. This is the best way if BW want's to stay neutral about IT.

As an ITer I think that while getting more clues, the other players also got better arguments to argue for their position. Equal rights for everyone. Keeps the discussions going until BW decides to go for one side.

I don't know the name but you can mod to run around in it all game. It's pretty funny.

You're right about the default casual wear. I tested it myself in my EC runthrough.

I agree.  But "no longer necessary" means IT was about fixing the endings rather than being about the clues pointing toward it.  It's not.  Of course.  Even if the endings were incredible we should still be digging and theorizing.

Idk if someone said this already but another thing I thought was off about Coats is the synthesis ending. That whole intro with the green stuff? Zooms out of Coats of all people.Posted Image

Guys, take this for what it's worth coming from me, but I'm really disappointed in all the troll feeding that's been going on over the past couple of days. If literalists want to come in here and speak their piece, this thread will flow much better if you just let them do it and allow them to move on. It's not our job to change their minds or to make witty retorts in an attempt to make them feel bad.

Really people, its over. Why continue speculating on something that has been determined in absolute terms.Bioware has left NO room for this theory.Quite simply Bioware said "you dont want  any of the choices set out before you..well suck on this." Its time to move on and accept the crap endings for what they are or give them the finger and try something else. But if your dissatisfied with how things turned out...DONT give em any more of your hard earned money.:pinched:

Just to say they have left room. They even said they weren't denying it...and added in more evidence pointing towards the IT. If you believe in the literal endings, that's fine, but we'll keep believing in our interpretation thanks :)

I disagree. You can't fully discuss anything only with people who have similar opinions as you do.
