Player: "Garrus died?"
*Kinect listens*
Garrus: I'm on it. *continues to lay on the ground, dead*

<_<

The kinect is glitchy in the whole ending. I heard you can use some powers with it. Sadly Mr. Sparkle is still invulnerable.

Yeah, but that, by far, has to be the most hilarious of the kinect glitches for the end sequence.

It proves he's only playing dead, ready to leap onto the Normandy as soon as you're not looking.

I wonder if anyone has brought up the info on indoctrination and it's effects that was covered in the novel Retribution.

Where do you think the Reaper Growls came from?

Which does not answer what I was getting at. Has anyone ever discussed it or even brought it up?

Choosing to miss out on dlc is one thing, but the novels are a whole different medium. Alot of us just like to stick with what we see in game. What does retribution reveal about indoctrination?

Being interested in the Indoctrination Theory does not mesh well with ignoring the other mediums. The ending was designed to stand on its own for those who started with ME3 or really dont care for the story all that much, while those of us who are deeply in to the story and are familiar with all of the canonized lore from the "different mediums" know enough to catch on to the clues that lead us to believe in IT.

As for the specific things Retribution reveals, I'll let someone else field that one. I'm actually not done reading it yet.

*sighs* Okay, since it is obvious no onehas, let me put forward one example that sticks out for me. The main character Grayson has Reaper tech in his skull courtesy of TIM. Now, he was going to commit suicide before the Reapers had gained full control of him. I say was because the Reapers were able to catch on to his intentions and didn't want to lose such a valuable avatar. So, they used his own feelings and instincts against him, and manipulated those aspects to make him think that would be a bad idea, when it is the Reapers who don't want you to die yet. Seeing the pattern here? If they can manipulate your own feelings and psyche, then it goes to show that there is still more to indoctrination. There are other examples but that is the only one that I can immediately remember. It has been almost 2 years since I had borrowed and read that book from a friend. Posted Image

Just had a fun thought. I was watching the "Take Earth Back" trailer and noticed Shepard and Ashley standing in front of a Hammerhead, looks like it's parked to like they just stepped out of it. I know Cortez mentioned something about it getting a retrofit back on Earth, and hey since you're there at the end -and if IT plays out in some form- maybe that's how we'll get to beat back the rest of the Reaper ground forces. Hope those refits included some better armor if that's the case, still would be fun.

If they're giving us vehicles back, hell give us control of the Normandy too. Always wanted to fly that beauty Thanix cannon first into a Reaper fleet.

By the way Prettz, I just watched your vid about the Predator & Carnifex, and I wanted to say I was very impressed with how the music went with the vid at the end Posted Image

Also, does anyone else think it's odd that Mass Effect 1 & 2 both ended with that ME1 track? (It's called "The End" but that's not important here) What I mean is, isn't it odd that ME3 didn't.

As someone who very much pays attention to scores in stuff, I found that quite odd, and it's on my list of things that I'm expecting in EC. Not that I disliked "An End Once And For All" mind you.

The other thing I'm expecting (as in, for sure expecting, not even likely things like Crusible = trap) is Rachni being really important (as per a tweet a long time ago) in the "final battle with the Reapers".

I'm not on my computer right now, but doesn't the temperature ME3 info ingame match the wiki? Should be, otherwise the wiki is simply wrong.

About your thread, I found a good summary of what the Final Hours app was most likely talking about with "the end of the first Matrix".

DukeOfNukes wrote...

That's not how the first Matrix ended...that's probably 30 minutes into the movie.

The movie "ended" with him dying, being resurrected "by love", saying "no" and stopping bullets, and then jumping into an Agents body and exploding him from the inside before waking up in the real world and making out with Trinity. He then picks up a phone and says "I'm going to show them what the world would be like without you"...and then he flies over a 50 story building. [/quote]

This is pretty much what I see coming in EC. What we have now in ME3 is the game ending with Smith shooting Neo in the chest very abruptly and Neo dying. Roll credits. After credits we see a half second clip of Neo opening his eyes, then cut to black, movie over.

Geez, it's pretty amazing how perfectly that works Posted Image

I just booted up ME2 to check, Aequitas is infact -85 degrees C ingame so it doesn't match up with the clue. The only other thing anyone figured was the coldest place on Earth, -128.6 F, which is .1 difference from the clue but hey close. It is odd they'd have 2 Earth centric hints, the Iron and the temperature, though so maybe one meant something else. What was the third clue? SIS/MI6 website? Could be a clue to London being important, or "espionage".

So EC = Shepard jumps into Harbinger and exploding him from the inside, then proceeds to make out with his LI, gloat about how he's going to wipe out the reapers, and then do a biotic fly?

AWESOME! :o

I think its asking to much for people to buy merchandise outside of the game in order to understand the in game ending. Anything signifigant should be included in the game series.

I can understand putting some hidden important thing in an optional dlc  ( though even that is controversial).  Forcing people to read a set of novels in addition to the games in order to gain proper understanding is going too far.

Blizzard pulled that crap with cataclysm, leaving MUCH of the player base with plot holes and unexplained events.

Ok, but what about ME3? If indeed the ME3 is wrong, too, then that's settled. But there still remains the mystery of why that planet specificly, randomly(?) pops up during ME3.

a lot of the music was done differently in 3. did not like how many parts just had no music at all, heck I went and re-did the soundtrack with some ME2 ost for the harbinger run

anyways I ask this earlier but no one replied but in the control ending. when shepard about to get electrocuted you can hear what sounds like a train:?

Aha.....and we're very "intrigued" as to what BioWare is doing with our game....I sure hope they aren't ruining it any more and have embraced the IT. Also make sure that Mr Hudson and Mr Walters are kept from damaging the franchise any further.
