I found it interesting that the Normandy was now able to escape the space-magic shockwave. As I saw it (no matter my wtf face) I thought, might this represent that the players no somehow achieved more 'hope-points'?

Because that is actually a non-trivial change. This is not clarification, this is a pretty drastic change.
So, I'm still wondering what Bioware is up...

As was the change to the Relays.  Beforehand it was pretty clear they were being torn apart in all the endings, but now the damage isn't that bad?

Um...yeah, that's changing the endings Bioware.  Drastically!

Here's an analogy that BleedingUranium came up with a while ago for ME3's ending.

In case you forget what happened in ME1, after Sovereign blows up, a piece of it hits the citadel tower (slightly creepy music at the end of "Victory"). This would be where ME3 ends (An End Once and For All). What were missing in ME3 is what happens after in ME1.

Shepard then emerges from a pile of wreckage to find her 2 slightly wounded squadmates and Anderson.

I hate bumping my own stuff but does anyone have anything to say about this?

That.  Is.  AMAZING!  Please BW, when you release the IT DLC (It'll happen eventually.), USE THIS!!!

I forgot to mention Shepard is holding the same spot he shot Anderson in ME3. That's why he imagines herself getting wounded here again. On the Citadel.

That's ALSO the same spot Anderson tapped him on in the beginning (Wow, that spot has a lot of significance for Shepard, doesn't it? :P).
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TIML9ku-HJs  (It's around the 1:49 mark, I think.)

Naaa, she just thinks "good thing I'm not wearing my belly shirt".

OK, Megumi and I were talking a couple days ago, and we realized something.  When you meet Coats for the first time on the shuttle and Anderson talks to you, Anderson isn't there when you first jump in.  He just appears out of thin air in time to talk to you.  Honestly, if Anderson was ACTUALLY there, I get the feeling that he would have been giving you covering fire as well.

BTW, Megumi will be making a video of this, but once that's done, maybe someone could flycam that scene to make sure we aren't crazy (You know, about this.  I fully acknowledge that I'm probably crazy.  In a good way, but still crazy. ;)).

Not to mention isn't it weird that two of the main leaders of the resistance are in the same shuttle, doing evac pickups?

Well, it IS Shepard, but yeah, it is kind of weird.

Unless Anderson was copiloting like Shepard sometimes does.

Yeah, but its the only shuttle to arrive (and quite prompty at that).  Its hard to imagine Anderson and Coates both jumping on board a shuttle the second the call comes out...

Or how they avoid being shot down.  The Leaving Earth scene shows how easy it is for a shuttle to be killed, and there's a lot of Reapers on Earth.

On a personal note, that's even weirder for me because my ribcage was dislocated while sparring and my bottom rib sticks out a little right in that spot.
On a more relevant note, after getting knocked back, Shepard hit the only item of note in the dreams: a bench. And immidiately hears the dream soundtrack.Posted Image

Just finished the EC, they needed a IT ending with actual content.

So disappointed, it would of been a great ending.

+ no one answered the call for extraction. Then a shuttle appears knowing exactly that you were calling for help.

OK, that scene is OFFICIALLY very screwy.

On the other hand, it might be so to instill uncertainty in the player (for an emotional response).

Don't feel too bad, BW had said before that they wouldn't be confirming or denying IT in the EC.  However, they did add more evidence (If you ask me.  Or most of the guys here. ;)), and it seems to me that our theory is stronger than ever.

The point is Anderson comes from the right, the cockpit is on the left.

Yes it does! Hmmm...as always, kudos for prettz for making that 5.1 vid.

EDIT: And that is while Shepard is lying nearly unconscious. Then Anderson gets him up.
Meanwhile, after getting shot by Harbinger, the Carnifex, Anderson's gun before the beam run, get's Shepard up on his feet again.

Anyone know the actual date the charge to the beam was?

That could be an important one.

You haven't watch BSG, have you?

At least BSG was technically set in the past, so All Along The Watchtower could have been passed down the generations :wizard:

But yeah, you have a point.  Just thought it was all unique tracks to Mass Effect.  And the final track not being unique seems...off.

Some of that band's music is in ME1, so it's not totally out of place.
It's a very surreal track though :?

Speaking of the band that did the end planet music, this is the their other album, which should perhaps be the Extended Cut soundtrack ;)

It is a very surreal track but regardless IMO I don't think ME3's credits should have anything but ME tracks in them. Like ME2 with the awesome Endrun theme (or The Suicide Mission, forget which, doesn't matter).

I just went through some of ME3 again - its interesting how the shuttle blows up at the beginning where the kid is in.

Seems logical to me (IT or not) - that the "thing" we see at the end of the game takes form of the same child - if it haunts Shepard so much.

I also found a short comment that Shepard made....but I can't remember exactly where now.

It was stated that a group of people "were in the process of being indoctrinated" and "were seeing things" and having "nightmares".

There is a one liner in the game where Shepard actually says that. I might have to fish it out again.

lolz :D.

Before all this, when the naive me was imagining the ending of ME3 before the release, I was hoping for Miracle Of Sound's Shepard tune.

I think it's worth repeating that IT or literal,
The "catalyst" has to be in Shepard's head in one form or another. Either IT is true, or he can read minds. Which is not only lame, but has no pretence in the ME series.
