I wasn't talking about that scene, just the whole IT business in general.

There are weird things placed weirdly at weird places.
Sometimes it's things that at first glance appear as bugs, sometimes it's things that are very unlikely bugs, because putting them there requires additional effort.
So we try to grade them by their likelyhood of being intended or not.
If likely intended, we discuss them under the condition "assuming Shepard is being indoctrinated".
Then we interpretate it.
Lather, rinse, repeat.
It's a standard scientific method.
EDIT: Or that's how I see this thread.

Haha thanks guys.
English isn't my native language - and some of the pictures need a bit better cropping but I had a lot of fun making it
By the way - someone just posted this on the forum:
A simple explaination of synth.
I rather like it - it seems to explain a bit better that synth (along with control) is a trick by starchild

And even if Bioware didn't actually intend it, the theory still holds pretty strong even as just an interpretation.

Just for the time passing by.
I am astonished by the new evidences found every day TBH. After playing the EC I thought IT is dead. But seriously, it seems more alive than ever. Especially after I saw the new evidences which popped up shipped with the EC. I mean, why making the effort at all to put in new stuff which feeds the IT? Like Coats' corpse, "Serve us!" copyrighted by Harbinger, that eery sound when Shep wakes up, etc.
Teasing? Admitting? Who knows. BW keeps it alive, apperantly on purpose.

I suppose it'd help if I stated that I have no strong feelings about the whole theory one way or another. I'm just curious to see if you guys really expect BioWare to surface with additional stuff one day (which I don't buy) or if it's more like "we know it won't happen, but it's interesting to discuss anyway".

Only if they decide to change their plans significantly which actually poses many logistics-related problems. My strong bet is for the IT being revealed in Mass Effect 4 in which it can get a deserved treatment.liggy002 wrote...

Wait, that wasn't unique to Mass Effect?
Why have a modern day song at the end of Mass Effect 3?
I don't understand what the other posters were getting at with "All Along the Watchtower", but Das Malefitz was made specifically for ME3 by the band that did the credits song for ME1.
Link or source, please?
I don't have a direct source, but both end credits beginning songs were done by Faunts, and I believe it was mentioned at PAX when they also made that one fan-artist an official artist.

Curiosity.
Well then, stick around. While Bioware made it clear that certain elements that were being interpretted as IT were, apparently, not sound, they also reinforced certain elements of it, why leaving some alone and even adding new mysteries.
As best I can tell, the "Extended Cut" didn't extend crap- that thing was ment to be in the package when the game went Gold.

Well you got to actually put the full URL of the image within [img] tags instead of just dragging the image onto the reply form, or whatever you actually did.

Although I think the picture will be more clear by the time all the DLCs are said and done, I'm more inclined to believe ME4 will be the reveal and resolve followed by ending the war.
However, the line from Harbinger at the end of Arrival still makes me question ME3 in its entirety on occasion; if it's the 'red herring'.
"You will be the first to witness the Arrival."
But I always come back to some of the events, and the upcoming Leviathan DLC... too much seems grounded in ME reality for it to all be a dream. It's really impossible to tell. Unless of course all the DLCs take place after Shep 'wakes up'.
In a game like this, ending as it does, closure really is impossible. At least for now.
