I've been meaning to ask about that. Is there a way to check if there's infrasound in the background of the trailer he was in? If so, did we find anything?BansheeOwnage wrote...

But the change in the Catalyst's voice for a single line is there. This is fact. Consider what he says. Tries to shake Shepard's faith.BansheeOwnage wrote...

I was thinking today about the EC, and the Reapers stance on reaping makes no sense. In the first and second games all the Reapers would say (Harbinger and Sovereign) was that life was a mistake. All organics needed wiping out forever. And then in ME3 when you meet their leader which is supposed to be the collective of all of them+AI he claims that he is trying to save organics.
My thought is that he is lying to get Shepard onto his side so that Shepard makes a favorable choice towards the Reapers. If the child is telling the 100% truth then something is wrong in the writing. You can't change the antagonists motivation at the last moment. It's like changing Emperors stance in Star Wars from trying to control the galaxy to that he is trying to be everyone's friend. NO. It doesn't work like that. Totally removes the main motivation in the story. And that is what the starchild is trying to do. Make Shepard forget the reason he was there and make him his BFF forever.

Well, it's clear from the first game the reapers don't want to eradicate organic life. But I wholeheartedly agree with the rest. Especially this part:TJBartlemus wrote...

The Unreal engine can do some weird things with emissive maps, those being the texture maps that make parts of or entire models glow, especially when transparency is involved. I don't think we can really put that down as evidence. The kid's voice though is definitely interesting.

Yes, that's what I was trying to say. Also, after that line Shepard has a strange facial expression. He probably thinks: OK, the Catalyst doesn't care whether I believe or not so maybe he has no hidden agenda in making me believe or not. He states facts.Andromidius wrote...
The change in the voice is more important. The fade is linked to it, since it happens right beforehand.

Yeah, uh huh. Sovereign totally supported organic life...<_<
Last time I checked extinction didn't = ascension = living eternally. Also he claims that the cycle can't be broken. Hmmm...but I did that in ME3??

Belief is not required, my tail. The star child wouldn't waste a word on you otherwise. Instead, in the EC, you can have a ten minute conversation with him. That sucker is trying to influence you; which way is not clear, but he defintely wants you to pick something besides Reject.
