I did. And those things (though a few I didn't know about ie. Coates' body on citadel) I already knew about and agree they seem to be pretty strong evidence. I WANT to think that. I mean, just like ALLLLLL the other evidence we've found in game, the few bits from the EC do indeed suggest some form of IT.

But I simply can't imagine Bioware releasing yet another ending DLC with a "Haha! Trolled ya twice!". I mean... a lot of people would not like that. Would they get over it if the true ending was awesome? Probably. 

But it seems HIGHLY unlikely that Bioware will release another ending DLC.

Hoping I'm wrong.

Well your theory has some stuff going for it, can't deny that. But AI shackles sounds like synthetic to me. So does a "a reaper goes rogue and kill one of its own". I don't remember reading "old tongue" though?

Seriously, I'm not the only one that's hearing "SERVE US!" I cannot hear anything else, and it makes sense. Serving the reapers, choose Control or Synthesis. 

Harbinger has been pretty deliberate about the whole fact about preserving Shepard's body, and of course, him- as a tool to hasten the process of finishing this cycle. Taking control of Shepard and missleading the Alliance Fleet and well, whoever his allies are (which are pretty much everyone at that point) is like an I.WIN button for the Reapers. Killing Shepard will most likely make the Reapers win, but damnit, the Reapers might suffer some losses here and there, and it might take it's toll on the next Reaper Cycle, let-alone, some uptight **** from Shepard's crew might take up the torch and continue on with the mission, it's not like they're going to lay down on the ground and watch **** goes sideways- 

Far more effective, if possible to take control, lure everyone and everything. :innocent:

It bothered me too.  Almost as much as the scripted 'loss' against Kai Leng.

I dislike being led by the nose, or losing off-screen.  It feels cheap.  If you're going to have Kai Leng beat me, have him beat me properly by being hard not by being cheap and cutscening me.  If you're going to have the Citadel captured, at least let me see it happening and not be informed after its happened.

I don't like it.

Well there is no physical way that BioWare can cover every little thing. They had a lot of content/variables to bring to the end, and a deadline. It would take too much time to show you everything. Just easier to imply it. Besides most of the game is supposed to be Shepard's perspective. Of course some things like the battle, the entry of the fleet, and the after effect of the choices have to be out of his/her perspective but that is to make it more theatric.

What do you mean 'before the EC'?

from what I remember Harbinger didn't say anything before the EC DLC.... it's been so long, I can't remember. I don't play ME3 SP since it's a major disappointment from my expectations. Did Harbinger spoke in the orgiinal ending?

It does seem unlikely but:
Why did they plant to much incontrovertible evidence of IT?
Why did they do Arrival?
Why didn't they debunk IT with EC?
Why did they make such an awesome series with epic lore only to seemingly disregard it in the last 10 minutes of the series?
I find IT more likey than bad writing, and I hope I'm right.

This is exactly why the franchise is almost ruined without the IT. You nailed it. None of it makes sense without the IT.

All SP DLC (save EC) will cost money because many SP players don't play MP (no packs).

Yeah, and you won't be 'spearing' anything. That would require an entirely new animation. Not happening. It will just be another melee attachment like the Shotgun knife.

I feel you. I'm already expecting the worst at comic con. I hope for better at PAX 2012 and got shat on, I hoped for better with EC for 3 months and got kicked in the nuts. I'm just tired of being jerked around by bioware then they try to condescend me with EC (which it IS better I'll admit), but all the major problems are still there: everything after harbinger makes zero sense and there's zero character closure practically.

and for the record 10 minutes CAN and DID destroy an awesome series. These endings are just SUSPICIOUSLY bad writing man. Like they had to go way out of their way to ruin the game.

No, he didn't say anything before (or technically after) EC.

Well, he was completely silent before the EC.  Now he says things a lot of other Reapers say.

I just had an idea... what if (this is insanely dumb I know) they announce at SDCC that there is hidden content in the EC and then tell everyone to go home and play it again, because they have now unlocked 'something'.

So everyone downloads an 'update' which unlocks the new content, and then we all play the EC again to find the true ending. Shepard gets up and the real ending carries forth.

Would explain why the EC is such a large file size.

And yes, I know I'm crazy. At this point though, I don't care.
