Hmm, MP DLC. Haven't been on MP in a month or so. I wonder how--<checks balance changes> J-Jesus. They obliterated infiltrators!

Can someone give me a quick list of all the new possible evidences for the IT found in the Extended Cut so far?

Five come to mind, though I know there are more.

-The entire Normandy pickup scene is absolutely ridiculous for a lot of reasons
-They kept the galaxy scene showing the beam starting in the Viper Nebula, where Rho, the start of Shep's indoc was, and the relay there doesn't exist anymore
-In the added scene with the two soliders, in Control and Synthesis they fail against the husks, but in Destroy they do way better (as in, Destroy is better)
-Coats is the dead soldier the Keeper takes the helmet off of, but this is both impossible, and can only be seen in fly cam. At the same time, they also put Coats in the first slide of the slideshow, and in Synthesis.
-In the Destroy ending, your LI doesn't actually put your name on the wall (goes with breath scene)
-Also important is that I don't think we lost a single piece of IT evidence in EC

What about the Catalyst's voice anomaly and twinkling?

Well ever since ME3 came out mac n' casey have been under the radar so to speak, until EC came out and they started inflating their egos again. When people realized how EC was just the same **** with friggin sprinkles now, they disappeared again. Jackasses just admit youre wrong!! Who the **** hired these guys. Must have been EA.

Yep, the "so be it".

There is also this Reaper-talking sound before Harbi shoots his laser ("serves us/save us/follow us/come with us")

And the weird way Shep wakes up (and that sound) when he gets to the Citadel.

Shep starts to talk in Reaper tone in control epilogue.

I don't think the Normandy pick up necessarily qualifies because it's prior to the laser-of-dreams...

counter stuff:
- Squad resurrected/teleported to Normandy.
- Why would Joker leave.
- Relays not exploding so no one starves to death.

For the most part this.

Casey could really do no wrong untill this debacle. Mac seems to be, from other dev quotes, more of an overseer than an actual writer.

Weekes is pretty much accepted on here as the best writer.

Is this answered? Why Shepard makes a mechanical sound(like when you turn on the machine) when s/he wakes up on Citadel keeper tunnel and makes the same sound in the Destroy ending?

1- The nonsensical Normandy rescue mission to remove the squadmates from Earth, despite more reasonable ways to fix that plot hole,
2- Adding an unclear "reaper voice" to Harbinger right before he hits you with his beam.
3- Unmasking a dead Coats on the citadel.
4- Adding a bizzare electrical/mechanical noise to wake up Shepard on the citadel.
5- Not fixing any of the clues/mistakes that were there before.

Is "beneath the heavens" just a claim for devil's advocacy?

They obliterated pure DPS infs. Stealth builds are decent, but the cloaking system is still bugged; especially with geth.

Anyway. How is everyone? I found a potential solution to our troll problem. Vlad! Hey Vlad, come on out here!

Release the bear!

I figured if we increased his vodka regimen by 30% a troll should be no problem.

Mostly just Sub sticking his fingers in his ears and yelling real loud.  Nothing noteworthy.

I don't know, I just came in myself.

However, the VI Glyph has been brought into suspicion.

Well, in all honesty, I meant the last few days, yes I've popped in a few times, but I haven't really been reading anything, I've been in white heat lately and wanted to make use of it.

Stealth builds have never been decent, and they're certainly not after cutting the base duration in half.

True, it solves those, but it then creates more like:

-You're in a war, on the last push, everyone's willing to die to accomplish the mission, someone gets injured and... you call for evac? When dozens of other soldiers around you are getting mowed down? No, it's just soooo wrong

-The Normandy hovers in front of Harbinger for a good couple minutes, and Harby does nothing. They even make it very obvious by having the scene where the Normandy's climbing away right in front of Harby's face, and he watches it leave, not doing anything.

-Harby also stops lasing anything at all while the Normandy's there, and resumes as soon as it leaves.

Also the relay's don't explode, which means all the star systems don't get vaporized, but they still break, so yes, still starving to death

which, lets be honest, thats a really, really far stretch, even if its plausible, its like saying that the reapers are actually trying to prepare for their war with the super reaper, which is actually the citadel.

I IMO think the normandy pickup is a big part of the IT, If harbinger keeps the normandy intact and just let's it fly away it'll give Shephard a reason to try and save more people (EDI) by not picking destory. If harbinger shot it down why would shepard care if he picked destory since there aren't any synthetics left to save, unless you have the geth on your side in which case the reapers would have even more leverage against shepard.

So one of the earlier arguements about the ending was that the catalyst and his ideas were dropped on the players out of the blue in the last 10 minutes of the game. The counter was that they weren't because those were introduced throughout the game. Javik is if anything the biggest vehicle for those ideas.

Javik is very well written, interesting and well developed. He's also the biggest anus of an unlikeable jerk I've met who's not a direct antagonist.

So, why, as a writer, would you want to present your ideas through a character that you've conditioned your players to disagree with?

Because they have set him as a Prothean who happens to know very much. Just because he's a jackass doesn't make him wrong. In fact you could argue that BW was trying add a bit of faux-complexity, Javik being the guy that everyone hates but is ultimately always right

Always right? He promotes a totalitarian nihilistic belief structure, I stand opposed to everything he belives in.

1. Joker followed Shepard's order, there's no nonsense in this.
2. Irrelevant.
3. Also irrelevant.
4. Still irrelevant.
5. They fixed what needed to be fixed. Whatever left is not important, and only is noticed by people wanting to grasp at straws, I mean, believing in IT.
