Liara was fiddling with it. Surely she wouldn't have missed any fishy Reaper code fragments. Or would she?
Do you know all of the code that occurs within your computer? Now imagine a device that is capable of sorting and analyzing the vast majority of information streaming into one station from across the entire galaxy.
Unless we can determine the origin of it, I doubt we'll have any real answers.
I was thinking about Glyph today and Demersel realty poke at some great points and I'll add to them.
The SB ship is very much like the Citadel in that there is a VI; in this case pure tech instead of an organic VI like the Keepers.
Glyph was instrumental in not only getting the network back into functioning order, it also was responsible for locating the information that lead Liara to Mars.
Glyph is a pest; always there when you turn around, but yet it was completely absent during the showdown with the Yahg.
The first thing Liara comments on is how the broker network is completely unprotected. No user restriction.
Glyph suddenly shows up on Shepard's return visit to the ship. Conveniently, it is a somewhat annoying and 'dumb' basic VI that has never been 'configured' to user tates and is easily dismissed as irrelevent from a Shep/Player perspective.
Edit: Oh, and Liara likely followed the user manual the VI provided. "overly helpful so nobody really ever figures out it's true nature." Vigil; Ilos. 2183.
"This just seems a little too perfect." Shepard; Normandy. 2185.
