I re-state;

While I agree with you about conventional victory, YOU are forgetting one thing.

The goal is NOT extinction, extinction is the byproduct of "preserving" the unwilling species. They want us alive until they kill us.

I'm not getting into you guys' discussion about extinction and whatnot, just the analogy I mentioned.

That was in address to both of you.

I still lean towards agreeing with Rifneno, I think his comparisons are accurate. If the Reapers' survival is at stake, they are not going to hold back like they are currently. But this seems to be getting a bit too emotional, so I'd rather not get into it any further.

Who's being emotional? If anything I was only miffed slightly at the fact that your comment was below mine, yet you had no comment on it.

Yeah, it was a fairly profound moment when Turbo helped me come to that conclusion. And just like IT in general, after you realize it, you wonder why you never noticed it before. Next time you play through the endgame sequence, pay attention to Shep's responses based on whether you pick the top or bottom choice, and its clear it's all about his willpower at that point, rather than nice or evil.

When I did a run through of picking all the bottom choices for my "reject" run...I was surprised at how "strong" Shep sounded, when I was expecting it to be kind of jerky.

Agreed! I was surprised as well. In fact, in my very first playthrough, I started to catch on right at the end, at the FOB. I started picking the bottom choices because they felt more like the emotion I wanted to convey. The uncertainty from the top options was starting to grate on me.

Yes. I'm 22.

Welcome to the club! What is your weapon of choice?

Can my weapon of choice be Unlimited Blade Works? Or is the ability to transport my enemies to a world full of replicas of every weapon I've ever seen overpowered?

I have a NG+ going right now...I will try to pay attention to see just how far back this starts...it will be interesting to see if there is anything before you start the assault on Cronos...although I have to admit, in the scenes with Shep's LI (primarily Liara for me) I feel like it is the one time that it is appropriate for Shep to show his vulnerabilty.  And may be the only time that you see the cracks in the armor...

Nope, skinny 19 year old refugee from the 80's, got the long hair to prove it.

If anything I was born in 83' but spent 10 years in cryo-stasis.

Well...that's the fun of my birthday, I can really go either way.  If you count that acutal number of times that my date of birth has passed I am 8...if you count the number of years that I have been on the earth to date, I am 32.  It really is the best of both worlds!
