Speculations about ambiguous statements:

"There is DLC planned, but I can't say pre or post ending. You'll have to wait for details. Sorry."

(Not to be confused with:
blog.bioware.com/2012/04/05/mass-effect-3-extended-cut/
"The extended cut DLC will expand on the existing endings, but no further ending DLC is planned.")

That kind of ambiguous statements is becoming a bit annoying. They shouldn't at least contradict each other. Why say post if previously they said no more post-ending DLC?! BioWare better clarify something at SDCC or I'll start thinking about moving on. Posted Image

People still take their official statements seriously after "there will be Reapers win ending" turned out to be the game over screen?

Speaking of Darner Vosque, wtf was he doing being the doctor of dying Thane?? O.o

Quick, anyone have a screenshot of that scene at the end of Act II of Dragon Age 2 where there's like 8 nobles in the background and they're just the same 3 models over and over?

Okay, minor thing that I have to say... a defibrillator doesn't do what 95% of people think it does.

This too.  If you want to restart someone's heart you need to use compressions, not jolt it full of electricity.  It essentially causes a seizure, not a restart - the heart isn't a battery!

Movie trope, anyway, it would be pretty difficult to get the sound of heart compression taking place, a short sharp sound like a defib fits well within a dream context.

Here's my speculation again, Shepard is lying unconscious, a medic is attempting to revive him/her and Anderson is standing at near Shepard telling him/her to fight to live, that's why you hear Anderson say "Shepard" just before the defib sound, also remember that time in a dream bares no relationship to real time, all the sounds fit in my opinion, when we get to the area where the control panel is you see the arcing but when listening to it carefully you get the impression of distant gun fire, then we have the bright light elevator that carries Shepard up, another dream experience that some people say they have had when near to death.

And at Comic-con last year they more or less said DLC would be post-ending. Can someone official make up their mind on this matter and kindly inform the rest of us?

Hm, the only thing I remember from last year is talk about general DLC without going into the detail with a random statement about the ending being on he disc.
The only one I know to have dismissed post-ending DLC explicitly was Mac Walters in some interview this year pre-release.
ADDITION: www.youtube.com/watch

Lol, we should make list.

Only thing I can take from that is post-ending DLC wasn't planned when the EC annoucement was made, but that it may have been planned since.  Maybe.

Or someone was/is telling porky pies, or is being a tease.

They said NO MORE ENDING DLC.

This is potentially POST ending DLC, just like I theorized, IT would be revealed in flashback.

Assuming IT, the Reapers have at least 2 ways to win, not including that.

The problem is many seem to interpret 'no ending DLC' as no changes to the ending, no alternate ending and no POST ending DLC... mashing it all together into one meaning.

The first two are correct, but they never once said anything about no post ending DLC content. They can't really say there would be either, however, as it would immediately clue people into the 'ending'

When they do announce, and if one of the future DLCs is said to be 'post ending', the board will likely implode with the gravity well the sheer mass of speculation creates.

From about the 13th of March on I've suspected a Post ending DLC was part of the plan. I still do. The rage and speculation may have been more negative than BW  expected, but that feed back is probably going to turn into some incredible joy for the fans. If you think 'fan service' was a large part of the EC, just wait till Shepard's story really comes to a close. BW has plenty of time to compose an epilogue spanning the banks of the river Styx to sugar valley and everything in between.

Actually, they have 3 ways to win with the EC on IT point of view. In Reject ending they where only defeated in the next cycle, but ME is about "our" cycle, so...

I got my new theory up called Mind Games Theory (If the name's taken I'll change the name just post a comment on the blog's comment section.)
Go to paragraph 2 and you should get to some views I don't think most people have come out with just yet that I fell support the Indocterination theory very well.
http://social.biowar...93/blog/215156/

Edit: Sorry I meant Paragraph 3 also I went and fixed a few things that I found wrong with it.

Can you do two things for us please?

A). Run it through word to get your grammatical errors and spelling out of the way so it's clearer.

B). Give us the reader's digest version here?

Yeah I'll go ahead and fix it, sorry that I didn't realize how much of a mess it was before now. I forget that people don't always know what it is that I'm talking about, or that they just can't understand it because of how I write. I'm working on fixing it now, but here is the main thing that I was trying to point out with my theory:

"The Reapers could try and turn Legion's sacrifice against Shepard. The reapers are making Shepard choose destroy which will kill the Geth, the race Legion sacrificed himself for, or Shepard can choose Control/Synthesis and make sure the Geth can live at peace with the rest of the Galaxy. The reapers are basically turning Shepard’s beliefs and the sacrifices of his friends against him and trying to persuade him that control and synthesis are the right options. This is one of the many ways the reapers have turned things against shepard. Destory being red and control being blue are good  examples of this happening before.

Kind of.  It would have just been 'Pork Pies' if it was.  Porky Pies is a more general English slang term.

Yep.  The EC did one
thing above all else - it got heat off their backs.  There's no
deadlines now, no expectations, no demands to hurry up, they can take
their sweet time and get it all right right.

Genius really.
