Which is a bizzare thing for the whole series - why tell us that its a non-military weapon, and then have it be as common as muck among soldiers?
With Valkyries as standard rifles.
And Locusts as SMGs, I'm pretty sure

Either that or its Bioware being mega-subtle and saying 'don't trust everything the Journal tells you'. Or maybe a more general 'don't trust what anyone says'.

For anyone that knows real firearms, the Predator is pretty much ME's Glock 17: used by pretty much everyone but military forces, very common. I can't explain the rest of the characters, like random Marines, but the Predator is very much Shep's personal sidearm, like Captain Price's signature M1911 in COD4.

Right, the Locust was developed by the Alliance, but wasn't used for very long. It did, however, become very popular with criminals and mercs. Pretty much exactly the same story as the real life MAC-10.

Fair enough if its his own personal gun. But its everywhere! Not to mention later on Anderson has a Carnifex - a somewhat more expensive and rare weapon. Where'd be pick it up?
Mind you, I'm starting to think that maybe all the soldiers on Earth are indoctrinated by the time we get back there with the allied fleet. Its never even hinted at as to how they survived for so long without succuming to indoctrination.
Its all so weird. And I'm exhausted.

BW said that they would not change the endings in EC, but in fact they added a new one. For me, it changes a lot of things about the endings. So, when they say they'll not change the endings, don't take it as fact.
“There are many different endings. We wouldn’t do it any other way. How
could you go through all three campaigns playing as your Shepard and
then be forced into a bespoke ending that everyone gets? But I can’t
say any more than that…”
Or this: “For people who are invested in these characters and the back-story of the
universe and everything, all of these things come to a resolution in
Mass Effect 3. And they are resolved in a way that's very different
based on what you would do in those situations.”

Yeah, like I said, I don't really know about the rest.
I am almost sure Coats is indoctrinated, and it's likely Anderson is too.
-On Earth for so long
-Weird convo on the shuttle
-"I was born in London" might be a clue that this "new person", the indoctrinated version of Anderson, was "created" in London
-Having a very, veeeery awesome goodbye scene with him, even though it was just your memory of him. You got to say goodbye to the Anderson you knew, which would make the real Anderson being indoctrinated more likely from a writing point of view. It'd be okay because it wouldn't really be Anderson anymore, and we got to say goodbye to the "real" one.

If I'm reading that right the child's animations are named "Guardian". This is very curious, as Merizan referred to him and the Guardian, and it never says "Catalyst" the the subtitles. It simply says "Child". They didn't even pull off a Legion and change the subtitles after he says "I am the catalyst from "Child" to "Catalyst". Weird.TSA_383 wrote...
So, some stuff for the ending sequence:
*The helmet removed from
Coates is confirmed as not a standard bit of uniform for marines - the
files actually identify it as Kaidan's helmet, but it's also Shepard's
one, and the animation for the Keeper removing it from Coates identifies the helmet as Shepard's...
This is...is a great news!

The main screen bob happens after the FOB, right?
I was also contemplating if the destroyer in London was outputting any indoctrination signals after it "died" since Shep and co drive right under one of its legs to get to the beam.

I just started a new playthrough today, and while in Vancouver, just after the vent scene, I left my game running at the next dialogue wheel with Anderson while I went to do something. I noticed the screen bob that is present in London was there. Every dialogue wheel screen after Vancouver is stationary from what I can see. Might have a browse on youtube when I get a minute to check it out.

On the whole born in London bit. The dead reaper in ME2 was causing indocrinated victims to remember the same things, yes? Maybe he is remembering things from his London squadmates memories.

The data pad on earth suggests that the beam changes people into what can only be assumed to be husks. They come back...changed. Makes sense for an indoctrinated traitor to lead everyone to certain death and/or reaper-fication.

I've been reading the Mass Effect "Fridge" page today (here), and found another sad thing like the Joker's sister one we all (hopefully) have heard. In ME2 during Tali's mission on the Alarei, there is a log of a quarian's last few seconds before she's killed by the geth. She says, "Tell Jona to be good for his father." Cut to Rannoch in ME3 as the quarians attempt to retake their home. A dying male quarian leaves a final message: "Tell Jona his father died on the homeworld."
Yes Mass Effect 3 is very good at being heart wrenching. The lose of some squadmates was done so well I had to stop playing till I calmed down
Ya like the blue rose of illuam and how her boyfriend died during the rachin mission with Grunt.
And Kal Reeger dying in helping the Turians at Palavian.
And many more people you can help in ME1 and ME2.

Anderson did not run with Shepard to the beam too. He stayed behind and did nothing, but I can't comfirm that Anderson is not running because he is not running to the Beam.
Also only Alliance Soldiers are present, not Hammer, which was suppost to carry out the run to the Beam assult.

Nope it's in the place where you meet Liara, and he explains that they were going to scout the Conduit, but came back with voices in there heads.
