She brought up god one time and she's too religious for your tastes?

Also, she's less of a racist and more of a humans-first kind of person, and even that attitude doesnt really translate to her hating aliens, she just figures that when a crisis hits, they'll look to defending themselves first and others second (which is literally what happens when the Reapers invade. The Council straight up tells you that as long as the Reapers are only slaughtering humans, they can build up their own defenses, so Ash was right all along.)

Well you listed religion as a negative aspect of her personality. I mean, hell, I'm the biggest atheist you'll meet, but that wasnt very nice.

She just believes in god. She doesnt go on about it all the time or anything.

Edit: Read your edit, and while you say she doesnt lose points for being religious, you did still list it along with her other negative qualities.

No offence but I really don't like Ashley. Good thing I can just save Kaidan he's much nicer. We could talk about her if you want though.

I liked Ashley more in ME1, but Kaidan was awesome in ME3! 

BleedingUranium and I had a discussion recently about the apparent reversal of Kaidan and Ashley's importance in ME1/ME3. And about how Ashley the most annoying squadmate in history.

It's kinda wird how the characters were totally reversed, yeah. Ashley only has one real conversation on the Normandy, and that was pretty mediocre. 

Kaidan has two, and his convos were pretty good.

That's the thing. In ME1, Kaidan's not boring, it's that he's kind of closed off stuff from his past. What I mean is, if life were like a movie, Kaidan would be at the end part, where all the problems are solved, and everyone's happy with where they are. On the flip side, Ashley has a family, talks about being stuck at the rank she's at, etc. Lots of future for her. On Virmire Kaidan sounds much more genuine about being okay staying behind, whereas Ash is just being a gung-ho soldier, it's doesn't seem so much like she's okay with it as she wants to stay out of duty. Looking just at ME1, it seems "better" to save Ash.

Cue ME2 and 3. Ashley does nothing but complain you're working for an alien hating organization, which is a bit rich coming from her. TIM isn't even racist, he's much closer to those super-American patriots. Racists hate other people, patriots love what they are, and the latter is more like TIM, though I don't doubt there are real racists in Cerberus. I'm not saying she has no right to be pissed in ME2, but less that Kaidan, who's ironically less so. Kaidan, and his ness means he doesn't like Cerberus out of principle, similar to what Adams tells you in 3, I respect Kaidan for that.

It's the same in ME3, just more of it because they're in more. Ashley doesn't stop raging about Cerberus the entire game. I'm not kidding. She doesn't stop after Mars, or the hospital visit, or the coup, or coming back to the Normandy. Also, she's been promoted, but according to her history she's done very little, it's incredibly vague. The time she doesn't spend complaining about Cerberus, she has almost nothing to say on the Normandy, has a brief thing about her sister, and spends the rest of her time getting drunk with James. I don't mind James, but he's not the kind of guy I'd hang out with in real life, because I'm pretty much his opposite, pretty much Kaidan. Kaidan on the other hand, doesn't talk nearly as much about Cerberus, you have a meal with him on the Citadel, you play poker, he's much friendlier, and unlike Ash, actually earned his promotion, leading and training the Alliances biotic special forces.

In ME1 it seemed Kaidan was pretty much happy where he was and Ash had a future, but it turns out to be the complete opposite. And I much prefer Kaidan's principled attitude to Ashley's religiousness and gung-ho attitude.

Hmm. Are you implying the beacon started it? Or Sovereign? Or both?

Sovereign, most likely. But then again all Prothean tech; and human tech for that matter, is based on Reaper tech, so it could be both.

Although, I probably won't have the opportunity to post about it immediately, because I won't have a laptop (Using my grandparents' computer right now), but I'll still tell about it!

Hay give Ash a break. She was right about Cerbures, and if you take her to TIMs base she sees that Shepard is Shepard, and She is right about Cerbures.

Also Ash is very poetic, which I happen to like poetry and Ash does care about Shepard, and She does not always complain about Shepard working for Cerbures. Not for Me because I told her on Mars that I am still the Shepard I was, and you know what She is probaably the only person that gives Shepard the I don't want you to go speech.

Also you know why She is mad at Shepard. It's because Shepard came back from the dead like nothing happened, but two years passed, and seeing Shepard again made Ash very unstable which sehe had every right to be. Also She lost her farther and then Shepard. If you were to lose your farther and then your husban, or wife, then wouldn't that change you.

Hay give Ash a break. She was right about Cerbures, and if you take her to TIMs base she sees that Shepard is Shepard, and She is right about Cerbures.

Also Ash is very poetic, which I happen to like poetry and Ash does care about Shepard, and She does not always complain about Shepard working for Cerbures. Not for Me because I told her on Mars that I am still the Shepard I was, and you know what She is probaably the only person that gives Shepard the I don't want you to go speech.

Also you know why She is mad at Shepard. It's because Shepard came back from the dead like nothing happened, but two years passed, and seeing Shepard again made Ash very unstable which sehe had every right to be. Also She lost her farther and then Shepard. If you were to lose your farther and then your husban, or wife, then wouldn't that change you.

Liara was affected tremendously by your death too but in a much better way
