I remember someone noticed that for
the last time you can select a weapon if you go to the customize screen
the camera doesn't stand still, now I am just playing Earth and noticed:
there is weapon bob which is nowhere else but when you just get up from
being shot by Harbinger.

I saw another video before that was posted of that. Surprised nobody made a big deal about it...

As so usual in this thread:
MIND BLOWN!!!

DJ posted this weapon bench a while ago back in the last thread, but I dismissed it because it looked like the reason the camera was bobbing was because someone was recording the screen with an actual  camera (hence the bob effect). His main point was that there was no visible weapons bench in the final sequence in London anyway and therefor it was an inconsitency, which I thought was weak evidence since it was likely just a gameplay element. So now this is confirmed that the camera bobs around as you stare at the final weapon customization screen? Well, I wouldn't say it's "ground breaking" for IT, but it's certainly something, IT or not. Neat.

Oh wow, that's kinda creepy! Zombie-like, even.

This could go in two directions: one, Shepard's too wound up and addled to hold still, or two ... well, we know what the other side of that argument entails.  Either way, it's another way that BioWare applied extra work and concentration to something very subtle and sensory-bound.

Thanks for posting---that's pretty slick.

but.... I thought bioware was lazy?

=]

That's where some of the kinks reside with this whole interpretation:  I actually notice the motion when I play through the game, but I never put two and two together and attached it to my perception of the ending being surreal.  My mind does the "Occam's Razor" thing and automatically assumes it's because Shepard's running on adrenaline and can't keep still, even if I'm inclined to slant towards the interpretation that Shepard's suffering indoctrination symptoms.

If you're still up and reading this and no one mentioned it yet, ALL you have to do in order to have all loyal squadmates in ME2 is complete every loyalty mission Before the IFF mission. That mission never goes away, you can literally explore 100% of the galaxy + DLC missions and the IFF mission will be sitting there. Doing the IFF mission also unlocked Legion + his loyalty mission, so right after that you'll get the Collector ambush, and be clear to to launch the suicide mission with all loyalty shields ready.

Also, probably know this, upgrade the Normandy completely (thanix cannon, sheilds, heavy armor, maybe even the thurster and probes whynot). The only thing you don't need to upgrade is hte MedBay scar treatment. If you Don't upgrade you could lose a squadmate for each thing you don't have.

For the assignments: Tali or Legion or Kasumi for tech expert, Miranda for secondary team leader and Fire Team leader. Samara or Jack for the seeker swarm biotic shield. Send Mordin to escort the surviving crewmates back, he's died while "holding the line" 2 out of 10 times for me even with a loyalty shield so sending him back potentially saves him. If everyone is loyal, everyone should survive "hold the line" and the human-reaper encounter.

I would recommend Samara for the biotic shield. That thing she does at the end is just ..... totally kick ass. imho.

Jack does that too. Choosing Jack or Samara is really just a matter of whose voice do you like more.

REALLY, I'll have to try it again with Jack. The first time I went through with Jack she barely made it through. Maybe my score was to low or something my first time through. I just assumed it was because Samara was more experienced, an Asari, and a Justicar.

Samara is nearly at her and herself: http://www.youtube.c...8qdEbZWaI#t=17s

Ended up watching the whole thing. Very good. Is it just me or were the speeches in 2 just the best.

Yes, in my opinion they were. Doesn't diminish them in 3 though, they are still great.
Btw I would have cried if I had died at the time where I nearly killed the proto reaper and then got soo close of being killed :D

Ha Ha. I was yelling at my screen, " Not now. Don't get killed now! You're almost there."

Yeah, whether it's due to proximity to Reapers, fatigue...whatever the reason is this only shows up on the last mission, it shows that the devs had something in mind for the last mission, and it was worth altering the game mechanics, which surely was not trivial.
Not exactly your usual sign for a rushed ending...

Indeed.  There's deliberate concentration put into the atmosphere and the way we're meant to "feel" everything in London, especially leading closer to the conduit.

It was also actually one of my worst times, often had a problem with jumping over the small cover because I was too close to the higher cover, so never moved to the ledge closer to the proto reaper so I could easily shoot his middle thingy (I noticed if you shoot that it doesn't disappear as fast, sometimes it plays the animation where it goes under the platforms but if you do enough damage it will stay) Also I think I had a little lag because of Fraps.
Oh and I soo laughed when the loading screen had "Export your save games to Mass Effect 3... if you survive."

I can understand if you don't do it out of principle (I really can), but if it's because you're not good at the online gaming thing, trust me: I'm not either, at all, and I've taken to it relatively well for these purposes.  I stick to the lower and mid-level arenas for now (Bronze for fun, Silver for a challenge), I have a good time, I cooperate, and it seems as if there's a place for people like me who are decent strategists but less-than-stellar shots.  I don't play any other online games.

So, this is what Merizan had to say before she was given the "stop revealing things" prod and suddenly went all vauge :P

*snip*

Thoughts?

If Merizan knows something, and isn't pulling our leg, which I doubt she is, then all of this holds some incredible weight. And I'm especially excited about the last one. I'VE ALWAYS BEEN TELLING PEOPLE TO NOT RULE OUT GAMEPLAY BEING IN THE EC BECAUSE THE PRESS RELEASE DIDN'T SAY A WORD FOR OR AGAINST IT. She seems to say, "Hey, why can't it be?". If Merizan is right, which she has been before, and its her job to keep the community inline so I doubt she'd lie, then that last tweet is something interesting.

In all of those she basically confirmed:

1. You can meet up with your squad (And Liara... I guess that means any of your LI's), IF you made the right choice. Thought it was interesting she emphasized the choice many times. Seems destroy is mighty important.

2. She will not deny the IT. Why would you deny something you later plan on revealing?

3. The EC will clarify or uncover quite a bit, it seems. It sounds like its going to be a lot more than people initally thought.

4. Something I've always said... there very well might be gameplay. In the press release it says 'additional scenes and cinematics'. Additional scenes could be ANYTHING. Gameplay, combat, dialogue. Anything.

Overall, those tweets prove very revealing. And it would make sense why Merizan now doesn't say a word. Her superiors may have tighten down on her a bit, telling her to keep quiet.

I'm hopeful with all this!

There are plenty of signs in this game that point to rushed work, but I think a lot of people get blinded by this and use confirmation bias to explain just about everything else away with it, even if said clues would actually take more effort to make.

Being in a lot of pain from getting hit by the beam makes Shepard's limbic system go haywire. It struggles to suppress as much pain as possible while trying to cope with the traumatic experience to the body.

It's not likely that the limbic system is vulnerable during all of this activity since it's in defense mode from being attacked by pain signals. So an attack by indoctrination wouldn't work in Shepard's hurt state.

For the person asking about the limbic system while shep was out cold.

Added the weapon bob to my guide - Seriously WOW. Can not believe that one had slipped by me so long. Much bigger deal needed to be made of it! That's a BIG clue!

Adding info on Legend Save and more detailed analysis of the start location of the Crucible/Citadel explosion and the fact it does not begin in the Local System (Sol) later today.

I always try to have all the latest info and clues we find but this thread moves so fats I worry I miss things. Feel free to message me if you think I have missed anything.

I do agree with this. There is confirmation bias among the whole conversation, but that phrase---coupled with "bad writing"---shouldn't be used as a way to dismiss even deliberate components.  Of course, they'd argue that our perception of it being deliberate also rests in confirmation bias.  As someone who's very pro-interpretation and in favor of the possibility of engaging an audience on a different plane, that whole component of the discussion gives me a headache.

I don't think so. That would invalidate a LOT of gameplay to something that's "just a dream".

I noticed the workbench bobbing and the bobbing gun on my first play through. Didn't pay any mind since I didn't know what was coming. Very strange thing to miss during testing.

It can be easily missed as it's quite subtle, also if you reload it's gone (one of the many reload bugs, best experience is not to die anyway ^^).

Exactly. There are things that look glitchy like the shadows being visible through solid objects. But then there's Shepard having TIM's eyes in two of the three endings which aren't glitches and also aren't explained.
