What the catalyst basically says about destroy is that it will be meaningless anyway.

"It won't last"

lol take it as me getting back at you for implying I was loose with the way you worded that thing the other day :P

I would never do that intentionally! To outline you as anything other than the cheerful loving person that you are.

Yay evilchris's tweet yesterday! Just noticed it. Great news for us (maybe).

He could have just said that there would not be any post-ending DLC (which is the lie that they have run with for months now), but instead says he can't say if it's pre or post.

My interpretation is: YAY!

That's totally weird. Maybe he just said that to keep ending haters on board until release of the pre-ending DLC in hopes they'd buy it anyway? They can't really do anything post-ending cause Shep is dead in 3/4s of the endings

It would fit, because only if you chose destroy you truly stay the Shepard that stood for defeating the reapers at all costs.

When you chose Control or Synthesis, you could've just joined sides with Saren in ME1 or TIM.

So what i believe is this, if you chose destroy you can play further in post-ending DLC. That's the only right decision, otherwise you just can't play post-ending DLC.

Also,
I know that San Francisco and San Diego aren't the same city, but I'd
planned on going to San Diego anyway (You know, as a one-day trip), so
that means I know when to do it!
You realize they're like 500 miles apart, right?
Yeah, 7-8 miles of driving time.

And since I've already payed for a rented car for use in San francisco, I won't have any problems, really!
Sweeet

And San Francisco to San Diego isn't 7-8 hours, more like 6... Although maybe that reflects more on my driving style than I'd like

Also,
in London, in the room where the reaper forces are seen using allied
stationary weapons for the first time ever, there's a skeleton on the
bed. I am only now finding that quite strange. Why wasn't this dead
person carted off and used as reaper goo? As well as the black stuff
that has seeped out of the walls all over London. You can see it coming
down from the ceilings in that same building. It looks similar to the
black goo in the Citadel, only static.
Yeah we speculated
on the London mission for a while when Riot86 posted his findings.
(Found in WNT: Version 2) My thoughts on that was that the skeleton on
the bed is burnt. However if this is true it would make no sense
whatsoever. Reapers use all the organic material they can find. Living
or dead. So this rules out that they left it or the cannibles ate it.
The body couldn't be burnt from an explosion because the rest of the bed
is fine and white. I think that the body is not real, but an image put
by the Reapers in messing with Shepard's perceptions. It symbolises that
Shepard burnt in his last dream which was in his bed. The bed same
model as the one in the Normandy and apartment in London.

The
black goo I believe is blood but as that the room is almost fully dark,
you couldn't see the color. Either way lots of blood tends to be dark
red anyway.
The burnt body is a curious one, if I do another playthrough anytime soon I'll do a walkaround of that whole room to see what else there is. Is it wrong that it irritates me that the skeleton's not on shep's "side" of the bed?

What
I want to know is if Liara's (oddly unsed) bed is the same model.
Because if it is, it's most likely just the only bed model in the game.
So it wouldn't be surprising.
Never understood why Liara wasn't "sleeping" in Shep's cabin for more of the game...Posted Image

I think it's safe to assume she'd be there a bit, but they perhaps weren't trying to make that sort of game ;)

On the Citadel, James comments "This place just makes you want to
forget about what is coming"... Is it just a throwaway comment (Nearly
99% sure it is) about how lovely the Citadel is in comparison to the
Reaper threat...or could it be something more? Like it LITERALLY makes
you want to forget, lower your guard, and not be ready for a Reaper (the
Citadel is theirs) invasion
James: It’s… not right. It looks pretty. Calm and peaceful. But it’s not right. It’s all just an illusion.

James: They’d rather believe in this than face the truth.

Shepard: I can hardly believe it myself. Like everything on Earth was some kind of nightmare.

James: Yeah. That’s what I hate most. It’s like this place wants you to forget that.
I agree heartily that something's very wrong with the Citadel... For example, do we actually know why TIM wanted it? Perhaps he realised what it's really for...

I
really hate that BioWare made it so you had to have 100% in either

So, some stuff for the ending sequence:

*The helmet removed from
Coates is confirmed as not a standard bit of uniform for marines - the
files actually identify it as Kaidan's helmet, but it's also Shepard's
one, and the animation for the Keeper removing it from Coates identifies the helmet as Shepard's...
If
I'm reading that right the child's animations are named "Guardian".
This is very curious, as Merizan referred to him and the Guardian, and
it never says "Catalyst" the the subtitles. It simply says "Child". They
didn't even pull off a Legion and change the subtitles after he says
"I am the catalyst from "Child" to "Catalyst". Weird.
This is...is a great news!
The "Guardian" thing is months old (hell, the leaked script from last year referred to the choice room as "Guardian's Garden", the thing with a keeper taking Shepard's helmet off Coates isn't ;)
TJBartlemus wrote...
BansheeOwnage wrote...
I think it all relates to the symbology of the Predator and the Carnifex. Which in quite subtle.
Yes
I believe there is a lot of that in the game. The entire game during
the cinematics Shepard is seen using a predator. Anderson when shown in
the game is shown to use a carnifex. Then after being hit from Harbinger
this switches around. (Okay I can assume coincidence.) When you choose
destroy, the gun changes from carnifex to predator. (Can also assume this is coincidence because default for cinematics is predator.)
However there are plenty of videos showing this "error" and after EC
it's still there. Why? Could it be another glitch that they
intentionally left? Like the slow mo for killing mordin. BioWare also
made a point to showcase the carnifex by putting it into the cover for
the game. Is this a message to focus on the carnifex? That something is
wrong?? (The showcasing could also prove the glitch for the change but
still doesn't explain why they left it there.) BioWare wanted show the
importance of the carnifex. The question is why... [smilie]http://social.bioware.com/images/forum/emoticons/wondering.png[/smilie]

Speculations??

It's not accidental, it's very intentionally implemented, see:

TIM already has control of Omega.

TIM wants the Citadel.

Omega is too similar in shape to the Crucible to be a coincidence. Maybe TIM found out Omega is a previous civilization's attempt at building the Crucible and wants both it and the Catalyst to attempt and control the Reapers himself...or maybe not?

Problem is, Omega is the same size as the Citadel - not the Crucible.  Exactly the same length, infact.

I'm wondering if it was a copy made by one civilisation when they realised they needed the Citadel, but had no way of recapturing it...  So they tried to make their own, not realising that it would never work.

Other squadmates tells pretty similar things.
So what if the reapers trying to indocrinate not only Shep. but his/her squadmates?
Liara w/ her "Embrace eternity" stuff and Javik could simply don't notice reapers influence while sharing mind. Makes sense?
Also thats can explain why your squadmates so easily leaves you while evacuating at the end. I assume Garrus, Javik all of them would fight till the end.

One of the books with Paul Grayson's Adventures in Indoctrination had the Reapers looking with amusement when they saw Omega through his eyes and it implied that they're actually the ones who created it.  We never have figured out how it works into things though.  But I'm sure there's a hell of a lot better reason for Cerberus' coup than TIM not wanting to pay Aria tolls for usage of the Omega-4 relay.

Of course. The reason the reapers didn't shoot at the Normandy at the beginning of ME3 and end of ME3 is because they don't just want Shepard, they want his crew and the Normandy. In fact if you fail to end mission in time in the Arrival DLC you see your crew completely indoctrinated by the reapers: http://imgur.com/a/W63iG

This is what the reapers want badly.
