strangely enough, does anyone here not think that ME2/3 or both is nothing but a dream the whole time and we just do not get it?
I don't think so. That would invalidate a LOT of gameplay to something that's "just a dream".
And then what's to stop us from thinking that Shepard went mad from the beacon on Eden Prime and dreamed all of it up?
As it stands we have Buzz Aldrin telling a story to a kid...that was our adventure...every erotic moment, every disgusting alien, every gruesome battle the ast 2.9 games were a story being told to a child by his grandpa. if thats not as invalidating as "it was all a dream" its pretty damn close.
I personally have no problem with the "it was all a dream" trope but it has to be used right.
Wizard of Oz: incorrect usage (gets a free pass for being one of the first)
Gurren-Lagann: correct usage
The Dream of Akinosuke or Star Trek TNG - Episode "The Inner Light": alternate but correct usage, and a beautiful one at that.

You forgot about all the sexy interspecies mating and Garrus' curiosity of a Human Turian hybrid.
Speaking of which would a human Turian hybrid be possible with synthesis it would give me a reason to pic...oh wait Shepard dies in that one...never mind.

I can understand if you don't do it out of principle (I really can), but if it's because you're not good at the online gaming thing, trust me: I'm not either, at all, and I've taken to it relatively well for these purposes. I stick to the lower and mid-level arenas for now (Bronze for fun, Silver for a challenge), I have a good time, I cooperate, and it seems as if there's a place for people like me who are decent strategists but less-than-stellar shots. I don't play any other online games.
I can also definitely understand that. I'm an 360 user too, and I really only have it because it was the only device I had in my house that could operate Netflix streaming and because of the occasional subscriber-only deals (I stocked up on inexpensive pre-paid cards through various sales). It'd be a different situation altogether if I had to willingly choose to pay out of pocket for the multi-player, methinks.
And since it's currently integral to receiving one of the bigger hints towards this theory, or even a more concrete viewpoint/interpretation of the conclusion itself, that's an issue. They really should just bump the EMS percent to 65-70% and be done with it. (laughs)

Yes...but from what I can gather those details are not the sexy alien relationships, watching your yeoman melt, or walking through a field of impaled robo zombies

I hate slowdowns in games. I was perfectly fine in ME2 when loosing my shield to get into cover, in ME3 it immediately slows down and ruins my timings.
Only slowdown I like is sniper time dilation.
If I could sacrifice the time dilation from Biotic Charge, I totally would. Playing a vanguard in multiplayer (where obviously you cant have time dilation) is way more fun than playing in single player. I really dislike the slowdown.

For infiltrators and with a mod in 3. I assume infiltrators are far less awesome in multi-player because of this.MegumiAzusa wrote...

If you're an infiltrator, one of your class powers gives you sniper time dilation, and snipers also have that concentration mod that slows time even more.
Time dilation is literally the only way I can play an infiltrator. The lack of time dilation in multiplayer is why the only infiltrator I play is the Geth Infiltrator with a Geth Plasma Shotgun. (which is freakin awesome, by the way)

Well, what if the weapon bench works within the game engine simply by pointing the view at a weapon bench with the weapon models on top of it? Then, it would be subject to the same view bob effect as when you're controlling Shepard.
Bioware probably realized this when they put it together and said "Hmmm, actually, that works...."

Yeah, on xbox. Thats why Marauder Shields was the hardest fight in the entire game on my insanity run. Imagine how hard it is to correct for that damned swaying using an xbox controller.

I have the opposite problem. There are a couple of avatars I associate with an extremely precise area that uses it.

I even have my colors set to black, to scare my teammates when we fight against geth.
Once, when all the rest of my team was at extraction, I had to rush to get there, so I was sprinting with my gun charged, and one of my teammates freaked out and was like "Oh **** that geth hunter is fast as hell!"
Its a good thing there is no friendly fire in multiplayer.
Combine my geth hunter who looks like a geth hunter with my vanguard, and I'd be getting teamkilled a hell of a lot.
My vanguard, for reference:
