Earth DLC and Leviathan DLC.
(Hopefully Leviathan says something like "There is no AI which controls all Reapers.".)

Say what you want, I stick to my post-EC point of view:
Refuse is the next best thing to resisting the Catalyst, even with Destroy's breath scene. I can't explain it from an in-game perspective, but that doesn't make it feel less 'right' to me.
So yeah, due to this feeling in my gut, I think Reject is something...special. It's just not 'finished' yet.

@demersel
I love your last two sentences! With the EC I don't find Destroy less appealing than pre-EC, but post-EC I now have Reject, which I just find better from its setting...except that the outcome could be a bit different. :D

I know we've been over this before, and I wont discount the possibility you believe in, but I still disagree on the grounds that I believe what we/Shepard see in the hallucination is the manner in which his brain is being rewired by the indoctrination.

I mean, just look at the differences in the colored endings. Strong willed soldiers vs weak willed soldiers, talking like a Reaper vs uplifting speech by Hackett, etc. Then you have Refuse/Opt-out, where Shep sees the entire cycle come apart around him. The only "good" thing about it is a blusterous yet pointless speech (which comes BEFORE the "what we see" part)... Blusterous yet pointless speeches is the reason the US has been stuck with a pointless President for the past several years.  People get swept up in pomp and fail to realize there is no actual purposeful content there.

And I know your opinion of this ending. ;)
Yes Reject seems to be empty relative to the other endings and it does seem added out of nowhere and also leading nowhere. But as I said, it's not something that I can explain as easy as why Destroy 'seems better' than Control or Synth.

Also, you write about blusterous yet pointless speeches...that's a new one for Shep. In this scene it might mean that either Shepard is not himself or everything around him isn't what it appears to be.

Doesn't matter, as it was already said, there too little about Refuse to properly 'speculate' about.

Leviathan DLC would be cool.

I don't understand how a collective entity can claim to be controlling anything. The nature of anything that's collective is to self-manage itself, not impose its will.

Not sure. The Borg were supposed to be a collective too, yet they have something like a Borg-mother.

Borg Queen, and their "directive" was to assimilate all organics into their collective to make themselves "perfect" (?) Do we really want BW/EA to just rip off the idea of the borg for the Reapers? Besides I still believe the "Space-Brat" was just indoc. or a hallucination by Harby, However unlikely that might be NOW. One can still hope.

I cannot even comprehend the joy I would feel if that were the case.

Best way of opening up IT theory concretely, too, I would imagine

Or show a scene in the breath scene and Shepard waking up.:D

Or they will show Harbinger blowing up in Destroy end, along with the Geth, and EDI, to comfurme that they are dead. Dead,  or are they since we did not see them getting blown up/disintergrated.

Posted this last night, and got no answers. :crying:

Was looking around YT and found this. Was interesting. Shows they were messing with Reaper sounds/horns and that they admit that the horn is used for communication. Hmmm....

So this could prove that Reapers need an organic or synthetic translator like an interface. So maybe Harbinger was truely trying to say something w/o one? That it's not just garbled pointless noise??

Heres the proof in the video I'm talking about specifically.

Of they say there is a master Reaper that Controls all Reapers. Then my money is on Harbinger because Harbinger is leading the Reapers to Earth, and the Reapers speak about Harby like it is the leader of the Reapers.

Well Casey Hudson found inspiration from other sci-fi movies for Mass Effect. So it makes sense to have parts similar to Star Trek.

But the Catalyst states that he is only the representation of the collective, thus he can't be the governing entity.

First of all though, it's clearly not Shep. It's the player talking. Anytime there is a 4th wall break in the game (or most games for that matter) the character looks at the camera. Like the whole Joker/Red October thing. Shep is gone by that point. He
stares directly into the camera for several seconds during the speech because those are the player's words, as requested by many after the original release.

And in my opinion the reason there is too little to speculate about is because there is simply nothing there.... I dont think it is something that BW intends to follow up on.

Yeah the Star Child entry was strange because it came with no foreshadowing which is unlike BioWare. BioWare enjoys leaving hints and messages all over the place. They clearly set it up in our minds that the leader was Harbinger then starchild comes out of nowhere. It's just so wrong... :pinched::crying:

That could be, which make sense especially consisidering ME2.

My guess if that were true, it would be that although Harbinger may lead them, it's unnofficial and less of a authoritative 'leadership', since they probably have much the same interests.

I hated when Star Trek did that btw, Borg Queen please.... the borg were scarier without the queen. And Harbinger is scarier without having to dress around as Dennis the Menace.

The Reapers use outdated modem technology to communicate. OK. The real Reapers would be silent.

It's why it's called inspiration, other things inspire things to make other things. Yeah I don't know what I meant either lol

I were just kidding, honestly. I don't believe there's a Catalyst/all might AI which controls the Reapers.
I believe in the IT, that's for sure. ^^

Borg queen was strangely sexy though like EDI's voice, and I am straight to :P (straight female btw lol).

Edit: Wooot top of page!!!
