Why does the Hulk have a Playboy?

It's an item used in MGS to distract guards. Apperently, that didn't work in that case.

Ah, I see.

Anyhow, are you still an hour away from San Diego like you said earlier? Did you stop driving just to hang out in the IT thread?

The very beginning of Mass Effect 1. Shepard saves farmers on Eden Prime:

Farmer: "Tell them about the noise Cole. That awful noise."
Cole: "It was emitting somekind of signal as it descended. Sounded like the shriek of the damned. Only it was coming from inside your head."
Shepard: "It was propably trying to block communication."
Cole: "Whatever it was, felt it was like tearing through my skull. Almost made it impossible to think."

Do we ever actually hear that noise? I mean, what they describe doesnt really sound like the noises Reapers actually make or anything...

I think Sovereign already takes off before you meet them...

Well you see Sovereign, but that's it in the beginning of the game.

Cool. Don"t forget to tell us everything about Bioware's plans for the Leviathan DLC, and to ask if you get to " IT".

But I doubt they will say anything.

Plus have a great time.

Man this thread hasn't been this quiet since pax.
Which reminds me of how I felt when I saw Shepard die in the beginning of ME2, which looks like it happened again on this Thread.

Sure. And Reapers likely used it when attacking Earth as well according the noises Shepard heards the brief moment he is losing consciousness.

I'm just pointing this things out while playing trilogy from the start. Have to say that ME 1 combat really is terrible after getting used to ME 3. I'm also trying to reload all the time.

I was saying ya that's a great thing you found in ME1 but I said it in my own word's sorry, and ME1 combat not bad, but has a great story line.

Did any of you knew that there was a Bioware person on our ( well Byne's actually) a month ago.

That's weird because it makes me wonder. Are they suggesting on our theory on what happened to Shepard, at the end game.

And yes it's Bioware person because he has the Bioware logo on his profile.

Guys. I'm disappointed in you. I've been trying to catch up since the last time I was on and most of what I saw was poshing about, random offtopicness and a rather pointless discussion over the mechanics of ME's weapons.

They're eezo-augmented magnetic weapons that fire metallic particulates. Hence recoil, and longer barrels == more firepower. They require cooling, hence cooldown in ME1 and thermal clips in ME2/3, which I agree, doesn't make sense. Unless you could make clips in the field out of omnigel or something, but we can't. Bah. Unless that's what those ammo boxes in MP really are, TC fabricators... hrm.

Did this really need several posts on the subject?

Also, since this thread slowed to a crawl, I'm going to link a post posts from yesterday regarding something really interesting concerning the ME3 conduit vs the ME1 conduit.

1 2 3

TLDR: The ME3 conduit bears far more resemblance to the prothean beacons from ME1 than they do a mass relay.

Didnt someone flycam the ME3 conduit while Shep goes up, and show that it basically turns Shep into a cloud of smoke going up the beam?

Also, the beam bears a huge resemblance to the geth weather altering device from one of the Firewalker missions as well.

Yes it does look very similar to the new Conduit run in the EC, and if you notice Shepard has to doge the geth fire, and has to do it again in the Conduit run in ME3:EC.

Oh and it's funny because that looks like the same image they used to lift Shepard up to the beam, like they did with the Mako.

But ya it looks like like a prothean beacon more than a relay, and the Conduit looks like a big Indoctrination devise like the ones we saw in ME2.

Ya it does look like the Weather device as well as a Reaper Indoctrination device because of the curved edges, and pointy tips we see in ME2. When you go in the ruins/esploration site.

I'm actually looking forward to trying platinum, although I would really like us to win a round on gold first

Ask the Bioware guys why the red ending is referred to as "GuardianEnd" even in new files they added for the EC.

In fact don't, you'll probably look weird :D

Yeah, I remember that. Though moderators aren't usually BioWare staff so I don't know if their opinions have anything to do with the (un)official company line.

Flycam is flycam. Whatever we find with it isn't solid. Can be interesting, but never solid.

Also since when do relays turn the stuff going in transit into a cloud of smoke? Especially when we see the mako in ME1 getting flung into space, and we don't see Shepard do the same in 3.

Indeed he did.  Which means the big reveal should be around the corner.

If he's correct, obviously.

On a happy side note, I can play MP again - but only if I host.  Just means everyone else is at risk of a disconnection, and not me.
