Ok....why am I so angy and agitated? Oh yes, that must be because i read like 6 pages of posts about impossibility of defeating the reapers without the crucible....in the IT thread.....of all the places....

Maybe i really need to go have some sleep?

Don't worry my friend, I'm here holding the line. We are Shepard's spirit, daring to achieve the impossible.Posted Image

The American mindset on war is the Roman mindset on war, which in turn is this: You are only obligated to protect your own. But protect them well. If you have an enemy, take the fight to them and keep your own people safe. If the enemy yields and favors you, then grant them your blessings. If they refuse to yield, break them utterly. Like the Romans did to Gaul, so did we unto Japan.

And as to not knowing what it means to defend our homes; do not lecture me of that. This new generation seems to have forgotten how fragile civilization is, and that what integrity it has is often paid for with blood.

Not be offencive, and not that i would ever want to lecture you....
But why shouldn't I, again?
Because "
This new generation seems to have forgotten how fragile civilization is, and that what integrity it has is often paid for with blood. "....?
Ok. Question. Are you not from this generation? Do you personaly have some first hand expirience, in how fragile civilization, and what integrity it has is often paid for with blood? Did you personally bleed for the integrity of modern civilization? If so, please do tell about it. This experience ought to be shared. Granted, video-game lore speculation forum is not the best place for i,. but since we're all here...

At any rate - back to ME3 - in the whole game we have not yet even began to fight the reapers.

How can you say conventinal victory is impossible, if we have not even began to try??

And futhermore - we need to define - what is victory?

What really makes me mad is when people say thay cannot bring themselfes to pick destroy couse EDI and geth will die. And thus Control is the better option....... (try to understand me right control might be better option, but by some other reason, then if you don't pick control, and pick destroy, EDI and the GETH will die, and we can't have that). And what really makes me mad is saying destroy is genecide oh the GETH, of the REAPER (REALLY???) and of EDI....

This is why I have trouble understanding people sometimes. The Reapers have killed an astronomical number of beings in their time, yet when we finally have the chance to end it once and for all,  "Oh noes, teh genocide!"
People are entitled to their opinions, but come on. I'm sure if they had husks breathing down on them (not that husks breathe, do they?) and Reaper destroyers standing there mowing everything down like a boss, I'm not so sure the whole pacifist ideal system would be working out for them.

EDI and the Geth are an unfortunate set of casualties, something every war will ever have. I can deal with that, but even they have killed for their own reasons.

Give me a tube to shoot any day rather than becoming one with the universe or the Reapers.

Shepard even states this in the beginning of ME3 -
 - Ever last one of you must be ready to die - anything less, and you're alredy dead!

People die in war. EDI and the geth undestand that. The people who call destroy genocide apparently dont.

As Garrus put it. "If there's even on survivor left standing, the fight was worth it"

Hopefully things will work out a bit better than that.

I like vampire best. I mean, you get Serana either way, but Vampire is more fun.

Hell, if I played Skyrim on PC or PS3 I'd be pretty pissed off too.

It kind of pisses me off as it is, and I have Dawnguard.

In a basic form of non-familiar generation, being of around 20 years- no I am not of "this" generation. Nor am I of such thought patterns of "this new generation". And as to first hand experience, yes. Personal and ancestral.

The wars aside, the area I reside in all of two decades ago was at the top of the nation in standard of living, on par with education and fairly peaceful. Now it is at the top of unemployment. People have lost their pride, their work ethic- they blame others for their woes and likewise believe others should pay for their expenses. Gangs and corruption have spread in leaving, in some area, people to fend for themselves. Infrastruction, government, civility- the very fabric of society is in decay. If this were all isolated, that would be one thing- but they've spread like wildfire.

Similar symptoms were experienced right before Rome fell into the Dark Ages.

You have four at the moment. Pick any. Same rainbows and ponies in each of them.

Oh, I'm not opposed to it. I do prefer to be challenged above and before emotional satisfaction, though.

No need for flattery.

Welp, the Alliance News network has been pretty dead, so I have no idea, last update was for  Operation Savage nearly 22 days ago.

But, it COULD be a lead in, yes.
