Well. Off to bed for me. Been in Alaska 1-2 weeks and still not used to the day cycle. Curse you midnight sun!! Anyway. Don't get too busy speculating... ;)

I know that feel. I still am not fully used to any american day cycle, even though the USA is the place I've been to mst in my life. Nightmares are pretty common for me here. I don't know why.

Do these nightmares feature a dead kid and whispers from all your dead friends?

Edit: I won page 4000 (1714). I won page AMERICA (1776). And now I win page 1800.

A winner is me!

No, the nightmares generally feature a nuclear war being caused because I failded to stop it. The nightmare then always ends with me seeing my family, friends and loved ones being killed by the blasts, accusingly pointing their fingers at me and screaming that I failed the world while I slowly rot away in a tiny bomb shelter.

I personally think I may have made a mistake tonight. I bought a game called Crusader Kings II.

I have never seen a more complex videogame.

It's supposed to be a "Dynasty simulator"

It makes my headache worse to look at it >.<

So... posting the video of the cut scene from Terminator 2 would be in bad taste then?

I don't really like them, as much as I'm fascinated by them.

I havent even seen Terminator 2 (which pretty much makes me the worst nerd ever) and that scene is totally what came to mind when estebanus described his nightmares.

That's pretty much the way I see the dream, as a matter of fact.

If it's any consolation, if we all DO die in a nuclear apocalypse you'll never know it.

Holy crap I had a dream that Shepard got Shoot by Anderson which is impossible, since he died, or did he. But it felt so real, like the scene was on Earth Shepard is beaten up and Anderson comes along over the piles of rubble and ponit a gun at Shepard , and kills Shepard right ther. Yet when that happened the scene shifted to the breath scene, and Shepard started to move but can'. Then Harby starts yelling at Shepard for doing something that I have no idea, and said " I know see that inoder to ascened humanity. I must kill you perminatly Shepard" Then nothing. I woke up and that was it.

You'll have the joy of being nearly instantly vaporized. You probably won't even have time to register pain, let alone shock or surprise.

Considering I don't live in a big town with any tactical signifigance whatsoever, it'll probably be the eventual food shortage or the resulting falliut that will kill me.

So no, no quick death for me.

Ok fine. Then how about this?

The chances of a nuclear war are astranomically low, America is currently engaged in a state of nuclear disarmament, no other nuclear nation is truly hostile to us, nuclear weapons and missile silos are nearly impossible to penetrate from the outside, NORAD is on a constant watch, we aren't even above Defcon 1 and haven't been for years.

Countries that ARE hostile to the US do not have access to missiles that aren't embarrassingly poorly designed (as in to the point they are more likely to hit themselves than us, if Korea starts gunning for Cuba maybe we should worry, but only on the off chance that they will miss)

There are tons and tons of nuclear interceptors in our air force who are superbly good at their jobs, and simply put, human beings are not wired to push that button on average. EVERYONE except the most insane individuals, whom are no where near the launch codes, would at LEAST hesitate, if not outright refuse.
