Ok let's say you're right and it is bad writing... that just means you get a pyrrhic victory right? If DLC that's coming out has no post ending content than there really is not a whole lot of value to it, at least for me.
The reason I got ME2 DLC was cause it carried over to ME3. ME is all about choice and concequences. If we already know how ME3 ends and that there will be no further changes than what is the appeal of more ME3 DLC unless there are changes? Would anyone here pay for DLC if there was not post-ending content... I know I wouldn't.

Why not? I know plenty of games with SP that don't add to the ending but still add to the lore and therefor are worth the purchase. Deus Ex: The Missling Link (a DLC for Deus Ex: Human Revolution) comes to mind. The Missing Link DLC did not change the endings of Deus Ex: HR, yet it was still worth the purchase because it added a nice extra mission to the game with tons of interesting new lore.

So yeah, I think most people buy DLC for the lore, so as long as DLC brings intesting extra lore that really adds to the Mass Effect universe, people will buy it, even if it doesn't influence the ending in any single way.

Plus I'm not just a ME fan, I used to be a Star Wars fan (than Jar Jar happened), Battlestar Gallatica fan (than season 4 happened), Star Trek fan (than DS9 and Voyager happened), Matrix fan (than Reloaded and Revolutions happened), and Aliens fan (than Aliens 3 and other movies happened) I can't lose another sci-fi franchise...

I used to be a ME fan, but then I took a ME3 in the knee.

Let's just wait and see what happens with Leviathan, if you're right in the end than "yay, sadness for everyone." If Heretic and Robotic are right I'll pay for a giant billboard that says "Heretic and Robotic are right, sadness reigns" with a giant Eeyore on it.

I would love to see that, but you can leave the "sadness reigns" part. Although I would understand why you would be sad if Robotic and I turn out to be right.

I never played Deux Ex. I get the point. But Unlike Deux Ex choices in one don't snowball into concequences in 2 and 3 (esp since HR was a prequel.... I think). Concequences are more important, or are supposed to be more important in ME since you load your save file from the previous games.

How about a billboard that says "heretic craves the tears of unfathomable sadness?" :crying:

BW already said they wont do anything that confirms if the endings are true or not.

Though seeing how Puella Magi Madoka Magica handled it quite comparable I could see Control as some pyrrhic victory.

No, they said they will not be proscriptive.

They also claimed in the same post (by Tully Auckland) that there are aspects of ME3 that are meant to have non-literal interpretations.

What is there to dislike about DS9? It's the most sophisticated of the Series, much more than TOS and TNG. Naming it and ignoring Enterprise does seem strange, though I could dismiss it if you say "there is no Enterprise".
I somewhat agree on S4 of BSG if you look at most of the religion stuff, but I would disagree about the rest of it.

You obviously don't remember the Grand Nagus from DS9.... Enterprise was... eh, didn't dislike it.

These episodes were fun intermission stuff, and it's still better as to how TNG introduced the Ferengi... dunno why you would dislike DS9 just because of maybe two episodes.

You noticed that the EC scrapped Joker from the flashbacks?

I'm pretty sure it's dependent of the amount of interaction for the flashback after Anderson.

No. Joker was always there as the first one pre-EC. In my main playthrough pre-EC he was there but in the same playthrough post-EC he wasn't.

I meant pre EC it was fixed for Joker, now I guess it is dependent of the amount of interaction or some other variable how much you "like" that character.

So did anyone get Joker in the flashbacks post-EC?

I don't know about that but I can say that in my playthrough that is imported from ME2 where I nearly accidently started a relationship with Thane always get him.

I don't understand that change. Anderson's flashback is still always played.

Anderson is important to Shepard, it's the one friend she always has, you can even be a complete douche towards Joker, but not Anderson.
Also Anderson is the one that always dies right in front of you just some moments ago.

So is there any significance for IT in trashing Joker's flashback and not Anderson's?

Yes there are such aspect, that one was already said in the one Kotaku comment about the music. There is just no one who definitely said which one, so there is still no proof either way if they were just talking about some other aspects that are not the Guardian. You, most others here, and I believe that the scene with the Guardian is one of these aspects, but there is and will be nothing that directly proves or disproves it.

WRONG.

The Viper nebula, aside from no longer even HAVING a Mass Relay since we blew it up, could go to ANY other relay in the entire Milky Way.

This was carefully described in The Arrival.

You're missing my point.
Yes, you can go to any other system using the Viper Nebula. But, in order to get to those locations, you MUST first jump through the Local Cluster Relay before reaching your desired destination.
This is how the Mass Effect 2 Galaxy Map works.

Hey, estebanus, are you going to report from the ME panel via BSN? Or maybe live stream the event?

Yes, but they stated that the Alpha relay goes DIRECTLY to all other relays.

Poor Joker. No one cared enough to have him in their flashback. Shepard probably figured he would be alright with out EDI.

The flash backs now are Anderson - Dead Squadmate - LI . At least for me. I think it makes more sense that there are 2 dead people in the flashbacks instead of 1. It's like honoring those who have died to get you there, cause you are potentially joining them. Joker - Anderson - LI was before. Less personal then the one now.

You might be right. Joker's flashback seemed to not mesh well with the other 2.

EDIT: But, whoa. Shepard isn't dead! duh.

If anyone's on ME3 PC, I'm going to have a go at Reaper Gold in about an hour. I completed 3 out of 4 of my first intended Golds, so I feel ready to try Reaper for the weekend goal.

Well done you guys! I wish I was able to play in an IT team. Unfortunately, origin wasn't in the mood.
