"Beware of the future, human. Sometimes, nothing seems like it looks like. Indoctrination is a process, you can't divide from reality."

Agreed. As long as they give us some hope that something good is coming in the meantime. Nothing too concrete, just something to keep us intrigued.

Something like a trailer would be cool. No spoilers, just some action scenes for example.Eryri wrote...

But has anyone suggested that the Reject ending could be Shepard giving in to indoctrination and allowing the Reapers to continue the cycle?? Just an idea that popped into my head.

My interpretation of Reject is like resisting, though too weakwilled to survive. "I die free." Kinda fitting.spiriticon wrote...

I consider reject to be Harbinger just killing Shep for refusing to play his game, but there are many differing opinions on it.

They want you to let the cycle continue by making it seem like you are standing for your own freedom, if you guys understand what I mean,, =/

I get what you mean. But why would Starbinger say "So be it!"? Well, in that sense, it's another trap, letting Shepard believe he's free. Though waking up indoctrinated? If that's what you mean, it'd be one interpretation.spiriticon wrote...
You see, the Reapers are masters of manipulation of mind, as evidenced with the Illusive Man. They make you think that you are fighting for your own goals, but actually you are doing what they want you to do.

I pretty much think the same thing, The slight pause before the catalyst says "SO BE IT!" it just hints to great rage and anger. Prehaps harbinger kills shep cause he knows that Shepard is definately a lost cause.

Nope you got the point.
As for "So be it", if you imagine the catalyst with a wry smile on his face as he says that, it can change the meaning of the tone completely.
Edit: It could explain why Shepard looked so dazed and unemotional in the reject ending.
Need to check the cutscenes again.

It's hard to make out facial expressions of the Catalyst. Many see a smirk/grim smile when Shepard chooses Control. Well, I saw it ONCE, I was able to see that once, but now, I don't know why, I can't make that grim out. I just don't see it besides that one-time where I was able to.spiriticon wrote...

If you can find something for Reject, like a facial expression, it might give us new ground to speculate on.

I've not seen more than the ending cutscenes, does Mr. Sparkle still get angry if you sound unsure about synthesis?

I like the reject ending, it just seemed wierd that after rejection, Shepard just stands there looking lost. It's like: you just gave a fantastic speech of rejection, shoot something up as a last stand at least.

Like in a dream, if the thing, the dream is about, is over, your dream doesn't build in details like "going back home" or something like that.
It just stops.
Same happens for me in Reject. He rejected hard-time Starbinger, after Starbinger's "So be it!", nothing happens really. Just the short consequence of rejecting; Harbinger shooting a ship, and that was it.
If it'd be reality, I think Shep would search for a way out of there.
