Agreed. But the literalist in question is not what you'd call a benefit to the conversation.

Not that I feel offended. I just don't think the term "literalist" is appropiate when it comes to the Mass Effect 3 ending and how I choose to interpretate it.
I'd rather call myself a pragmaticist. I'm very pragmatic when it comes to trying to make sense of the ME3 endings. I usually try to find the shortest and easiest explanation that relies on the least assumptions.
The term literalist isn't an insult. It just refers to someone who takes the endings at face value; what you saw is what you got, even if you think the star kid is lying to you or manipulating you.
