How doesn't it make sense?  Krogans got it in their head to wipe out the rachni again because every idiot krogan thinks it's krogan's birthright to do so, and the rachni kicked their sterile asses.

Bump because people don't seem to get the "it was a war" thing and this post got buried on past page.

I dont know, I'd figure that after wiping out the entire krogan race, the rest of the galaxy would leave Tuchnaka empty as a memorial, like how the geth did on Rannoch, not give it to the rachni.

Plus, I dont think even Wreav is stupid enough to wage war with the rachni once he realizes the cure didnt work, which he would have realized fairly soon.

It is possible that the Krogan just went extinct because of the genophage. Although, synthesis or control would logically cause the galaxy to bring a cure to the Krogan to inspire peace wouldnt it? Can anyone confirm if this slide is only in the Destroy ending or all endings. This could be a good piece of evidence.

It's not related to synthesis nor control, stop saying crap when you don't know what your talking about.

You get the rachni-wiped-out-the-krogan slide when:

- save the rachni [ME1 & ME3]
- you killed wrex [ME1 or ME3]
- didn't keep the genophage cure [ME2]
- Eve is death [ME3]

^
When you meet those 4 conditions, you get the slide with the rachni invading a barren Tuchanka.


Edit: In fact, on closer inspection, it seems you only get that Rachni slide if you chose Destroy. So the joke is on you.

Only thing that would cause an extinction for the Krogan would be if they suffered more casaulties then births.  Its brought up again and again that the Genophage keeps the population growth down.  So unless the Krogan literally spent themselves during the Reaper wars then they'd recover a viable population if they magically became peaceful via Synthesis.  Not to mention that in Control it would stand to reason that ReaperShep wouldn't tolerate a war that would threaten existance of any species under its care.
