It is possible that the Krogan just went extinct because of the genophage. Although, synthesis or control would logically cause the galaxy to bring a cure to the Krogan to inspire peace wouldnt it? Can anyone confirm if this slide is only in the Destroy ending or all endings. This could be a good piece of evidence.

That slide ONLY shows up in the DESTROY ending if you didn't cure the genophage and killed both Wrex and Eve.

I edited my post. It turns out on closer inspection that the rachni slide only appears if you chose Destroy (plus meeting the 4 conditions I posted earlier).
