The discussion (live feed) was much worse than that at PAX. Maybe a video upload will clarify things. IT? BioWare seems persistent in seemingly denying it.v0rt3x22 wrote...

They are neither confirming nor denying IT.

Panel didn't really say anything pro or con. No real new information. Except that Atlas's are waterproof

Technically, they don't, but those answers....I have no words to describe them.Dwailing wrote...

Seriously - I'm one of the few who still had hope for IT at this point - but hearing BioWare ramble on about how much research was invested into getting the ending right - in terms of how the different endings would affect civilizations - and not addressing IT at Comic Con - is really starting to cause me to doubt.
I think I'm taking it easier then some as I'm not really expecting any kind of answer to it for a year or more. I just want to see the dang trailer at the end of the panel soon

I dismiss pretty much the majority of ME3 as bad writing, even when it does support the literal interpretation of the story. That's because the story just isn't that great, no matter how you choose to interpretate it.
The story kicks butt. That is all.
If that's how you feel than more power too you. Sadly for me I can only see how shit the writing in ME3 really is.

Isnt one of the main reasons you dislike the story the fact that you cant side with TIM and preach the virtues of control throughout the entire game, or am I thinking of someone else?

They want the ending to their game to have many different interpretations. They seriously don't know what to do with the breathing scene. ME 3 can be a game where both the literal interpretation and the IT can be true depending on which ending you prefer.
Literal- Control/Synthesis lovers
IT- Destroy/Refuse lovers
If BW is ever going to come out with Post-ending DLC, then let's help them figure out what to do with it through the IT.
Just a suggestion.

There can be an IT DLC that we ITers can pay for.
All endings lovers who like the literal interpretation can choose to buy it as well, so they can enjoy it too, yet still hold to their favorite cannon.

Well, I'd say something about tabloid journalism, but it doesnt really fit here.
As long as we're both on the same page.

There, does that work?

Sounds more like my mate Seboist.
The fact that we get railroaded into fighting Cerberus and fighting against TIM's ideals (only to figure out at the end that TIM was right after all and then you can finally decide to pick Control, DERP!) is indeed one of the reasons why I think the story is crap, but not at all the most pressing reason.
A quick and small list why I think the writing is crap:
- The committee is a joke.
- "We fight or we die, that's the plan!" Really Shepard? REALLY?
- The vent kid feels forced and it's just lame.
- The nightmares about the vent kid feel forced and are retarded.
- Cerberus' douchebaggery. They went from a morally ambiguous splintercell group to standard cliche cannon fodder.
- The Crucible McGuffin.
- ME2 is pointless, nothing we did in ME2 matters for the main plot.
- Shallow and retarded politics (BioWare should watch and learn from The Witcher 2).
- The Citadel coup is a joke.
- Udina and his silly motivation for the coup is a joke.
- Cerberus became a joke after the coup.
- Kai Leng is a joke.
- The Illusive Man became a joke (while he was such an awesome character in ME2).
- The huge "WTF is the Citadel doing above Earth?" moment with no explanation at all.
- The HUGE Deus Ex Machina we all know as the Catalyst (WTF was BioWare thinking?).
- The Reapers motivation is retarded and just plain terrible.
- Synthesis space-magic.
- "Lots of speculation from everyone!" HERRRDERP!
