Do you mean the ramp? because I also noted the squad does not follow you up, you can keep hitting the move command but I've only ever got one of the squad to move by that means, but as soon as you activate the door they are both right there with you.MegumiAzusa wrote...
Also that weird room right before TIMs control room aka Illusive Temple how it's named in the game files.
Biotics go haywire and just fly off in a random direction. That's some serious stuff and nothing that could be there by chance.

I like how the room right before that hallway is all blue, and you kind of just ignore the Reaper in the room.
Then theres the green room that has a long path you gotta run up.
Then theres the red room that gets completely destroyed.
Why does that all sound so familiar...

Also originally the Reapers signature color was blue, seriously in the first days playing ME1 whenever I saw blue lights it gave me the creeps. Alliance was red. And now all out of sudden BioWare changes the Alliance colors to blue?byne wrote...

Nice catch, I admit I would miss the reference because colors do not dictate my choices when playing, if that had been the case I would have chosen the control ending.byne wrote...

The beauty of IT is that Bioware apparently took a multi-pronged approach with regard to indoctrinating the player, and color was just one of them.

Also, one thing I noticed from replaying ME1 a while ago:
The scene where Benezia tells Saren about how Shepard activated the beacon. Saren is sitting in blue light, and Benezia, who we know has sealed off part of her mind to resist indoctrination, is bathed in red light.

Makes me wonder if there are any other instances that could possibly be interpreted as foreshadowing the blue/red switch in an attempt to compromise your values...

If we go with that, my guess is BW didn't the RGB choice to resemble Paragon/Renegade but the signature colors (as stated in my last post).HellishFiend wrote...

The signature color of Protheans would be either green or brown, both are most common, the VI in ME1 was brown but all other stuff on Ilos was pretty much a green/brown mix. Now later Prothean artifacts in any game had green lights and the VIs in ME3 were green.
And we all know what happened to at least some of the Protheans.

Yep. Collectors are just one example in the games/books/comics that indicate/foreshadow that synthesis is bad. There are quite a few of them....

What bothered me about that ramp was that it was such a distinctive room, very creepy and strange, but what bothered me more was that it wasn't important in the slightest. Litereally nothing happens there

The lights on Legion turn red while uploading the Reaper code (or trying) to the rest of the geth. They were blue before and after. Make of that what you will. I don't see how it fits in but I'm sure it does since there's no good reason for the color change.

What if the Protheans actually completed the Crucible, and were tricked by Starbinger to pick synthesis, and rewrote the entire races DNA? Protheans are made out to be the only advanced civilization of their time, so only they would be affected by it. They aren't just harvested organics like the enemies in ME3, because they have their own ships and their own base.
Quite possible. Also, I LOVE the Starbinger moniker. I'm taking it.

That only works in a literalist ending because:
-The crucible doesn't have three colour coded options
-You can't actually rewrite everything's DNA, that's silly
But the intention of what you said could be true, some of the protheans were indoctrinated to believe in "Synthesis", or whatever the Reapers called it for them, like Saren.

I wouldnt focus on the "rewrote the entire races DNA" bit. I think he just means that in one way or another, the Crucible was, in some way, used to facilitate the Protheans conversion into Collectors.

I wouldn't look too deeply into that scene (which I just played through today). The colors of light there change from blue to red probably just to set the mood for the massive raging tantrum that Saren throws.

Well what if Shepard actually did board the citadel, but during his journey the indoctrination conjured the illusions of Anderson and TIM, they weren't actually their, and Shepard was just doing a Fight Clubisq conversation (Shooting Anderson is really him shooting himself). When Shepard kills TIM, Starbinger then deals the final hand.
I know that doesn't explain how Shepard ends up back in London for his ever-so-special breathe, but I'm just speculatating.
ANd yes, you may all use Starbinger. Spread the meme away, my friends
