Honestly, I find myself stuck trying to rationalize Shepard calling the Normandy down right in front of Harbinger.

Yes, Harbinger not sinking the Normandy right there and then is odd, even with Harbinger literally standing on his own main guns. The Normandy being close enough to do such an evac so quickly is also odd. But Shepard calling his ship directly into the line of fire like that to evac one wounded squadmate?

In my case, that squadmate was James Vega. He's very much emotionally in this thing to the bitter end. He was carried off by a silent Javik, who could easily have stepped back off the Normandy after chucking Vega into the airlock. Javik. The guy who most wants to kill Reapers. He flies away without a word. It made no sense.

........unless.................

The dreams seem to accentuate every person who has ever died under Shepard's command, except of course for Jenkins and possibly the whole of the Akuze platoon. I recall one Paragon conversation choice having Shepard state that he's getting tired of death. I would speculate that the dreams are trying to push Shepard towards a state of mind where "submission is preferable to extinction" as Saren put it. Shepard, under the intense pressure of the conduit run, simply freaks out and makes a dumb, out of character call to show us where his psyche has moved to.

He doesn't want to lose anyone else.

And then what does the Catalyst use to keep Shepard from choosing Destroy? The threat of losing EDI and the Geth. Control and Synthesis are both presented as minimal loss choices.

..........ehhh. It's a long shot, I know.

Estebanus.

SHUT THE **** UP.

Yes, I get that you're feeling discouraged. We all are.

But the fact is, IT is right now got more things going for it than we even did before.

There's all the weirdness in the EC, there's the statements we HAVE gotten (Aspects of ME3 are meant to have non literal interpretations, so says Tully Auckland.) we've got the pre release statements (We want the player to feel what Shepard does)

And we simply have logic on our side. As a writer I can state beyond a shadow of a doubt, YOU DO NOT SOMEHOW MANAGE TO COMPLETELY MISUNDERSTAND EVERYTHING ABOUT YOUR OWN STORY in the last five minutes.

So buck up and start getting positive. If you guys keep this up I'll be half tempted to get Chris Priestly to close this thread again so we can get started on Mark III, seeing as you lot get a bit more optimistic when we've got a fresh thread going.

I know it sounds like I'm dressing down Estebanus, but the same goes for EVERYONE.

Am I understood?

Arian Me and Estebanus have made peace, and he has a head ack probaly from me. So go easy on Estebanus.

okay. Am I clear Arian.:D

He was warning Lex0r to be here for page 2000. It took him until 3 pages later to realize "oh, huh. We're almost there."

I guess its how you think it all happens. If it is a IT dream, then it has to make it so that both of your teammates get out of the area alive. And I always imagined Harbinger does not destroy the Normandy because if he did, there would be no way Shepard would choose anything buy destroy to avenge his friends (which were killed only a few minutes ago). Keeping them alive makes you more susceptable to suggestion for alternatives.

This is simply my opinion, which of course is subjective.

Welp, Byne has made me his unoffical adjutant, so I take my position as a leader seriously.

Leaders keep up people's spirits, keep discipline in line and lead by example. I try to make an effort to do all three.

This is me keeping up discipline.

i think you are right, because if you have Tali with you. It looks like she has a suit rupture, and if you have EDi she's all F***** up. Everyone on else not really.
so ya Shepard is not his/her self at that momunt.

Lol, the cokcles (transpose the c and k for the proper spelling, stupid censor) of your heart is referring to the heart valves, which some early surgeons compared to the similar muscles in certain bivalves (cokcles, specifically.)

By the way. Bioware. Bio ware. Biological hard/software.

Synthesis.

God damn it Paxxton you're a terrible, terrible influence.

Oh good God.

From the wikipedia entry of the first ever Bioware game, Shattered Steel;

Wikipedia said...
Shattered Steel takes place in a desolate future where humanity is on the verge of extinction. The single-player campaign takes place over 5 separate worlds (planets), each planet has about 20 missions. The enemy in the game is a group of aliens who are in some way or another organic, mechanical or a combination of both. Examples of this are the Aspis, a spider-like enemy with an organic look and the Wasp, a very mechanical looking air vehicle. As the story unfolds, more is discovered about who controls the aliens, what their purposes are, and how to destroy them once and for all.

paxxton do you have a theory that you were trying to say the same thing as I did, only a little bit diffrent?

Not yet. Be patient.

You can't be serious. Trying to merge Pro-IT theories with non-IT theories is like trying to merge evolution with creationism. It just doesn't work. They're both mutually exclusive.

Actually it does work (in a way), but that's a completely different matter.
