I still contend dark energy wasn't a dropped plotline. It's just a bit of background flavour, it's mentioned several times in 2 AND 3 as background material. It wasn't 'really important in 2 and never mentioned in 3' as some have said.

No, but I do point out when even the pro-IT propaganda linked to in a pro-IT thread grants that BW didn't literally intend IT.

1) Sure.
2)
Inconsistent writing doesn't entail intention.  Read/listen to the
interviews.  It denotes the chaos of different writing teams spanning
years.
3) Don't want to ****** off the fanbase.  No value whatsoever to doing so.
4)
So?  And whatever they might've said there is some official canon as if
you play each game in the series, some events have taken place even if
you import no saves.
5) Like Shepard's dream sequences?  Or his waking synth hallucination in Overlord?  I don't know what you think this proves.

Again, do you know more about Bioware's intentions?  Please share where you got this information from!

2/
So you're saying Bioware fudged the writing at the last minute, during
the most important section of the story, after writing a really good 95%
of the rest of the story?  Sounds plausible.
3/ The fanbase is already pissed off.  They had nothing to lose.
4/ I guess 'no canon' goes straight over your head.
5/ Yes, because game companies and writers in general love putting in dream sequeuences that have no relivence to the actual story.  And we as consumers need to be told that a dream is a dream.  Sounds legit.

2) You need to analyse the rest of the trilogy if you honestly believe that. Especially ME2, non-existent, pointless plot for example.

5) The dream sequences have no relevance to the story if they are taken at face value? Are you joking?

ME2 only has a pointless plot if there's no IT.

The dreams are pointless without IT, and don't say PTSD, because Shep has none of the symptoms. There's even the convenient PTSD Asari in the hosptial, for all the people who think Shep has PTSD Posted Image

Ok, fair enough, IT might marginally (and I mean by a tiny amount), better for IT.

They are not pointless. They show his disappointment and grief of not being able to save everyone.

Well yeah coz....that's what marginally means Posted Image

It was for emphasis

Mods are just players equipped with banhammers. :P Only the BW devs really matter in that regard.

I refuse to accept that the ending was so bad it justifies approaching 2000 pages of posts on a theory that had little supporting evidence to begin with and was completely destroyed by the EC. Let's exercise a little self-control, people.

2000 pages? More like 4000 pages thank you very much. Don't forget, there was another thread before this one.:)

The pics look like the side part of the conduit towers from the conduit run.

I don't see that at all. The structures around the conduit have lots of curves, where the debris here look a lot like slabs of flat walls and floors. Since it was already proposed (much debatably) that this was "concrete" surrounding Shepard, I doubt changing guns on this idea now is a good idea.

And I don't want that explanation to be bad/lazy writing.  Look at the page that I have linked in my sig.  Look at it!  And tell me one more time that the BW writers are bad/lazy.  *Insert Samuel L. Jackson's line from Pulp Fiction where he dares the guy to say "what" one more time.*

I read the whole thing Posted Image

They don't even have to read the WHOLE thing.  Just one or two parts should be enough, especially once you get to the part about Garrus and Sidonis.  That gave me a whole new perspective on Garrus's desire for revenge.

I haven't read the whole thing yet. Where abouts (what section) is the Garrus/Sidonis thing?

What have you managed to read so far?

Edit: Also, in Part three, the piece about why the Turians seem not to like humanity is also very enlightening.

I THINK (Though I'm not certain.), that the Garrus/Sidonis bit is in part two or part four.  I'm inclined to think part two.

Thanks. Also, I didn't know Saren also voiced Balak. Posted Image He also voiced Warden Kuril, but in heinsight that's pretty obvious. So basically he voiced a main character in ME1, a major character in ME1 DLC and a minor character in ME2, but nothing in ME3? Reminds me a bit of Harbinger.

Harbinger's voice actor: Major role in ME2; very, VERY minor character in ME3.  Seems legit. <_<  Also, I had my own moment of fridge brilliance.  You know why the Harrier's discription says it does less damage per shot than the Mattock but actually does slightly more?  Because by the time you get the Harrier, you've probably gotten a LOT of Mattocks in the various equipment packs, and the Mattock actually WILL do more damage per shot than the Harrier.  And odds are you won't find the Harrier more than once or twice, so that won't change.

Yep hence why I think we need to take a picture, of the Conduit, and see if it matches this circled curved shape.

You almost got it, it's just above Shepard's head, to the right. Try to raise the brightness just a little bit to show the features.
