From the looks of it you guys 'n gals obviously know about (possibly) metal/steel being in the breath scene? I was just able to see concrete and some rebar.

I just realised that Urz would've been so much more awesome on the Normandy than that stupid mechdog.

I wouldn't know. EA screwed me out of a collectors edition. I'm still bitter even after all this time plus endings. I wanted that artbook.

I got my collectors edition a month and a half after release. I had to go really deep into chinatown to find a gamestore that still had it for a reasonable price :pinched:.

But that I was speaking of isn't rebar.

So, what have I missed in the last day?

Also, I'm currently talking to you guys from an airplane, which I think makes me the first person to post in this thread from 10,000+ feet in the air.

:D

I always take my smartphone with me when I'm skydiving - I could try to be the first ITer to post in freefall

However I think if Arian posted at all in that time I'd impact the ground whilst scrolling ;)

By the way, for the sake of speculation over the breath scene, I've turned up the brightness and taken out some of the noisiness due to the particle effects.
The video has a very high bitrate in order to preserve stuff, but if you want to download it's here:

http://www.sendspace.com/file/9151i1

There's metal/steel visible in the video. You can see it shining while the camera moves. From round about 0:05-0:09. You see the gloss-effect.

Edit: I actually just wanted to know if this is well known, or of no matter. (I am NOT talking about rebar.)

I got over 6200 ems the first (and only) time without even trying. I'm sure anyone who actually cares about the ending shouldn't have a problem.

Jo, you're completely forgetting about Xbox players, PC players who don't want to use Gibbed Save editor or don't know about it, and just the fact that you do not and cannot count on a 3RD PARTY creation in your marketing campaign.

...

Arian, now with the EC, even with 50% galactic readiness you can reach the perfect ending in Destroy, just by doing a normal playthrough (all the side-missions and fetch quests). Without touching the MP. The Xbox and PS3 players should also be able to do the same.

Pre EC, you needed at least 8000 EMS (50% GR) to get it, which was impossible without MP, even if you played all the three games including the DLCs (I never made it "normally" and was always by roughly 7200-7300 EMS, or slightly more, I can't recall it exactly).

BW made even a special thread for this one day before the EC to state that they've corrected it, since it was a big issue for many players : 3100 EMS (6200 with 50% GR) for the perfect red.

And it was about time, because they didn't have the right to shove the MP down the throat of people in a SP game.

I've tried it  the "normal" way after the EC. It works. One thing I'm not sure of though, is if you do a ME3 playthrough with a brand new character and still can get enough EMS.

What I want to know is if it's still possible to get the worst ending possible without modding your EMS. Or if maybe there's a hidden super low EMS ending you can only see by modding the number Posted Image

Guys what I like about both Stargazer scene is that they the child always says " Tell me another story about the Shepard." and then the Stargazers say " It's getting late, but okay. ONE MORE STORY"

I take that as a hint that the Shepard story is far from over.

Bioware wouldn't create extra cutscenes or endings that require a third party modding tool to witness.

I really don't know what to think. There are 2 contradicting messages out there. One from BioWare that Shepard's story arc is coming to an end in Mass Effect 3. The other from Stargazer that there's going to be another story involving Shepard as the main protagonist. Personally, I think it would be incredibly unwise to end a story that earns real dollars and is by no means over for the majority of players. Posted Image

How about SP DLC as "one more story"? In fact, a DLC is a tiny story in itself.

In my worst playthrough I lowered it to 200 EMS (with modding). But I think you can't go under 100 or 115, since you'll have either the reaper brain or heart as War Asset no matter what.

Anyways, you lose your squadmates (Harbinger says hi) you die and kill almost every one along the Reapers in Destroy but still control them if you saved the Collector base. And in the latter option, the buildings are destroyed but people survive (not your squadmates in the beam run though).

Which amazed me, because I've expected at least a reaper control failure if not Shep ending up indoctrinated. But no. The galaxy is ruined but Shep is apparently still the Reapergod.

Also, no matter what happens your other squadmates survive as well as the Normandy (damaged by the wave though).

So are there going to be only 1 DLC for ME3? Still a wasted opportunity. Posted Image That's why a new full game is more probable.

Well Urz could die in ME2, but ya I wish that was the dog we should have got on the Normandy.

Hell yeah, at least it would have been more interesting, robomutt, well what can I say, Shepard says "Nice dog"; it's a robomutt!, I at least expected a bit more from it, like perhaps following Shepard around the ship, maybe even tell it to wait in the cabin.

I agree that abandoning Shepard's story would be unwise from a corporate standpoint. However after the reapers are done in ME3, what other BIGGER threat could possibly be faced? There obviously has to be an antagonist acting against Shepard but it would be hard to make that antagonist a small fry. From ME1 through ME3 the antagonists and the main enemy have progressively been more deadly (reapers).

To make a story about Shepard set in the future but having it be against a smaller enemy wouldn't keep this trend. At this point, if Shepard does bring down the reapers she would have all the political and military backing she needs for any mission. Making the enemy any smaller than the collectors would be almost a non-fight. However, for an enemy to be STRONGER than the reapers (lolwut?) the galaxy would need to have recovered a bit and regained their forces making the story be put a little farther in the future where Shepard is no longer in his/her prime (not that this is much of a problem). If this stronger enemy came before the galaxy has fully recovered then Bioware better have a REALLY good plan.

I would pay to see it but it wouldn't make too much sense that we haven't heard about this enemy yet.

Well maybe they will do  TDKR SP DLC to Shepard. That would be cool. Though I don't think Shepard will get his/her back broken from Tim, or the Catalyst.
