Tully saying they wont confirm or deny IT really isnt a point for IT, break it apart and look at it this way.
they wont ever confirm IT. doesnt exactly give me hope.
that line from the leaked leviathan files, the one shepard says to the catalyst, along the lines of "the leviathan created you, didnt they?"; if BioWare does plan on expanding on the ending through dlc (for the record, I hope they do) why would they include dialogue like that if the recipient isnt even real? why add the extra dialogue if it turns out useless?
im in the camp that says from the beam onward isnt totally fake and meaningless, that the things that happen do have meaning, but a piece of dialogue like that cant mean anything. my point is, why explain and expand on something that needs very little explanation? and that almost the entire fanbase hated?

might just be me but everything I see bioware do just screams that there's more to this. why would they end the trilogy with shepard's fate unknown and little to no closure on your team? you know, the most important part of the trilogy? why would they put allllll these hints in just to say nah, those are there because... just because. It makes no sense dog.

i dont know either, but there is an equally good chance that they really did just say f*ck it. why they refuse to drop a straight answer, i dont know either, maybe theyre just holding on to the hype so they can reel in a few more bucks from multiplayer, and maybe even a little bit just for sh*ts and giggles. i really, really, really hope they at least expand on the breathe scene, but sh*t like this doesnt help.comrade gando wrote...

i know, i really dont know what to think. i still have hope for leviathan, but if that dlc doesnt reveal anything serious or drop any serious hints, i may be done with the whole company for good. its possible they were planning indoc but due to restraints had to drop it, and due to EA profit mongering cant pick it back up, i honestly do not know.comrade gando wrote...
what about all the hints they revealed on their twitter with the barcodes or whatever. I recall one of them was a red herring, which theoretically means that there's going to be something in the story put in there specifically to throw people off or something. what about that? why are my cross hairs wobbling. to me the wobbling crosshairs in priority earth is the biggest indicator that something is awry. then your boy tully ackland comes out and he's like NOPE THESE ARE THE ENDINGS SUCK MY NUTS... ok he didn't say that but it felt like that.
this kind of makes me hopeful, but the only thing we can do is wait and see.
edit: rumor we failed Broadside?

Earth DLC
Leviathan
Omega
Another single player DLC where you get the catalyst perhaps?
Citadel MP
Awakening DLC (or battle for the citadel DLC)
Which means we have yet to have a final meeting with the real TIM, haven't found the catalyst yet. There was unused dialogue where Joker comes back so we could have a variation where Shepard gets picked up before activating the crucible. We can finally get details about how Shepard or someone else actually got the crucible device going.
This is my prediction Awakening DLC will be released on 6/12/13.
So title: Awakening
Content: Battle for Citadel, Shepard meets real catalyst, TIM, story of how he activates the crucible
Release Date 6/12/13
I'm bookmarking this.

edit: rumor we failed Broadside?
If thats true, I find it way too convenient that we failed Operation SILENCER (which had the stated goal of holding on to and protecting asari colonies) and we also failed Operation Broadside (which had the stated goal of finding a way to fight the Reapers with minimal loss of life)
I mean, we know both of those things didnt happen in the single player story line, and conveniently they dont happen in the MP storyline either?
Also: Just got home. Traveling sucks. Super tired.

Welcome back!
Operation silencer was a pretty hard MP objective. Operation Broadside quite possibly didn't work because people weren't clear on the fact that it needed to be a FULL extraction.
You're right though, it IS a little too convenient but I don't think Bioware would screw with us that badly. I mean, the reward wasn't half bad.

London Calling - The ClashThe ending takes place in London, clash representing the conflict taking place.
Delve deeper into the record, notice some of the tracks:
i) London Calling
ii) Hateful
iii) Death or Glory
iv) Four Horsemen
v) I'm Not Down
vi) Revolution Rock
Now, obviously, I'm looking too far into the album, but it interests me. These tracks strike me as fitting in with the ending. Hatred from and towards the Reapers, the four horsemen of the apocalypse indicating what could happen if we fail. Death or glory, success or total annihilation. Revolution against the norm, the norm being a Reaper victory and thus ending the cycle.
Atomic Weight of Iron
55.845 +/- 0.002 u
Fe, Atomic Number: 26
Famous iron canyons of Aequitas...another link to indoctrination and the potential Leviathan DLC - if we are right in suggesting the DLC may take place at Aequitas. If it does not, it is still another link to indoctrination, with the device in ME2.
Or if you're mental you could look at it like this (This is just for fun, I don't actually believe this):
26 is the Atomic Number
The crystalline structure is Cubic...cubes have 6 faces...
26/6 is the day the Extended Cut was released - CONCLUSIVE (lol)
UK Secret Service
Provides the government with foreign intelligence - maybe a nudge towards Earth being supplied information from "foreign" planets, maybe but this is a reach. Though we do provide Anderson and Earth with info throughout the game?
Moving on, I suspect it's something to do with Reaper spies within London, purely because the Indoctrination Codezx entry mentions this sort of thing and it makes perfect sense. Coates being the Reaper thrall makes sense, considering he was by himself fighting Reapers for days and so his mind likely would have been weakened...could also fit with why we clearly see the warning sign next to him on the Mako similar to the signs near the kid on Vancouver.
-128.6 FahrenheitVostok Station, Antarctica - -128.6 Fahrenheit the coldest temperature recorded on Earth
Vostok System - Alko, Clomarthu, Nodacrux, Pataiton, .ALKO - Unregistered starship travel, travel not recommended
CLOMARTHU - Could be Earth's twin (size and orbit) but no life
NODACRUX - Very interesting. Abandoned facility with Thorian Creepers (Indoctrination) thus links in with the hinted Leviathan DLC - Also space cows xD
PATAITON - Meh, just a Matriarch writing Tali discovers on ship
Nodacrux interests me greatly. Especially with there being mentions to Thorians in the hinted DLC...this could prove to be a link to these clues
May also just point to Lake Vostok in Eastern Antarcitca, where scientists (Now, in the present 2012) hypothesise new life could be found in the underwater lake...maybe hinting there could be something in the lake that's been hidden for thousands of years...an Ancient species, a weapon, plans? This is purely **** thoughts and bull - I'm sure it relates to the Vostok system, specifically Nodacrux and its Thorian creepers.
Red HerringThe most interesting of all. Red Herring, also known as IGNORATIO ELENCHI...which translates to - which I find absolutely perfect - IRRELEVANT CONCLUSION, or FALLACY OF DISTRACTION.
"deliberate attempt to divert a process of enquiry by changing the subject. For example: "I think that we should make the academic requirements stricter for students. I recommend that you support this because we are in a budget crisis and we do not want our salaries affected."[/i] Here the second sentence, though used to support the first, does not address the topic of the first sentence, instead switching the focus to the quite different topic of lecturer salaries. "
Holy ****, this has got me excited.
Also sorry for my post if it appears stupid, I just went full crazy on this research stuff xD INTERESTING

Any opinions? I workeded hard being a tinhat!

I find that very interesting. First really in-depth explaination of that damn ed Red Herring picture other then the obvious suggestion that all the previous clues were Red Herrings themselves.

Liara says the Crucible didnt work. She doesnt say that we refused to use it. Hackett also says the Crucible isnt working right before you pass out on the Magic Elevator and get taken to the decision chamber.
You'd think that since Shep's radio was clearly still working at the end, since Hackett contacted her right before she passed out, that she would have filled the rest of fleet in on what had gone down, and therefor Liara would have known what Shepard decided.
Kind of seems to imply Shep never made it to the decision chamber at all.
You could say that Liara just pre-recorded that message as a fallback in case the Crucible didnt work, but then it'd be kind of odd to still include the plans for it.
Here, we wasted all our resources building this pile of junk, and it didnt work. Please waste yours too.
Plus, the refusal stargazer seems to imply that they built the Crucible anyways, and used it before ever being threatened by the Reapers, and therefor have peace, yet the Reapers all would have been in dark space, since the current cycle wouldnt have begun, and the Crucible wouldnt have even affected them.

Honestly Refusal is so vague its not clear what the hell happened at all. Only that the next cycle somehow wins without a terrible war, no details given.
Which makes me think the Liara VI is a Red Herring in of itself, and Shepard's cycle actually did win - sacrificing and winning the war so future cycles never have to.
