New trailer is up:

Anderson's voice-over.. so much goodness, interesting tid-bit about defending Earth while the fleet is gone.

I thought we failed Broadside?

I haven't seen anything offical, the leaked thing could have been something Bioware had planned ahead of time for this event, just in case we did fail.

Sweeeeeeeeet

Now... I wonder how the weekend objectives (not broadside) will tie into the main plot for earth
It's not like Arian and I called this DLC two months ago ;)

I know, right? While one could say "Oh Anderson's talking about the defense of Earth before Shepard arrives" all of the footage in the trailer is depicting moments when Shepard is on Earth. Did anyone take notice of Harbinger by the beam? I wonder if that's confirmation that that bit at least actually happened.

They show the Destory ending happending in the trailer, they also show harbinger leaving the conduit to return to space in the trailer.

@smokingotter1: The reason it seems like clevernoob is the "end all be all for IT vids" is because his are the most fun to watch. He has the right idea by making it more cinematic, this makes it more likely that people will watch the video because it isn't "boring." Clevenoob helps our cause a lot because the more people that watch the video, the more supporters he/we get. People are not nearly as interested listening to a person talk over a few still images.

I find prettz's videos on IT much more entertaining. He should compile all of them into a single one and add some new stuff too.

I would definitely agree. I love watching prettz's videos. The only problem is that to understand most of his videos you already need to be somewhat familiar with the IT. But don't forget. Some of prettz's videos/findings were used by clevernoob. I think the solution is to have prettz compile all his videos together and have someone else explain what's going on for the newer people.

Edit: I guess I worded my clevernoob post wrong. Of the really long documentary style videos, his are fun to watch.

It's because they show a subset of the evidence for IT at a time. A compiled video should have some kind of introduction and an ending. It would be a good idea to voice it over so that people can just sit and listen. Maybe we can hire that guy who reads the Codex. Posted Image

Well... I can do a pretty good impression.

I think that's the confirmation that the timespan is from before the fleets arrived to the events of the SP ending.

Oh, and as for brutes, I don't know why you'd think they were planned to be yagh. The entire point of sticking the turian head on was to harness turian's "keen military mind" along with krogan's blood rage. But from what we've been told, yagh are super-geniuses anyway.
Also, the armor plating is to protect the organs and medical machinery on the outside that's necessary due to krogans being levo-DNA and turians being dextro-DNA. If they used yagh that wouldn't be necessary because unlike krogan yagh aren't established as being a specific DNA.

I dont think we can take the Shadow Broker as a typical example of yahg intelligence. That'd be like taking Wrex as an example of your average krogan, or Mordin as an example of your average salarian.

Anyhow, my speculation about the brutes being part yahg is mostly due to the body structure of brutes seeming to be more similar to yahg than to krogan. Also due to both of them having no tails.

No actually he is correct, The Yahg are possessed of a keen intellect, one emphasised on group control and focus. And Brutes are most def Krogan. Says so in the codex.

So, after playing a match as a demolisher, I've gotta say, its freakin awesome.

The only drawback is both of your grenade types draw from the same pool of grenades, but when you've got like 9 grenades, plus a grenade replenishing pylon, thats not really a problem.

Once, our team was totally surrounded, and I just threw out 9 Arc Grenades in a row, and suddenly there were no enemies anywhere nearby.

It was pretty neat.

Good impression would be enough. Just have to wait for prettz and ask if he would want to make the compiled video.

The goal was so retardedly impossible that I can't fathom why anyone would think we even had a chance.  The only reason they're "deciding how to proceed" is probably because they only realized afterwards that they set an impossible goal.

****. 500k and not one character. Piranha V and Acolyte II. A gun that's useless if you're not so close you can smell your enemy's breath, and a pistol that literally cannot be fired without charging up. Already have better stuff for the former and the latter makes me want to punch a baby.
