You all need to keep one thing in mind when BioWare or BW reps talk about anything concerning ME3 being left open for player interpretations. It cannot work if there are to be any games set in the Mass Effect universe that take place after the events of ME3 without said games automatically revealing the true state of the galaxy.

Only one ending can and will be canon. Period. It's either that, or it truly is over and BW just threw away a billion dollar IP.

With synthesis, they couldnt even manage to just get around telling you what ending is canon by mentioning the results of ME3 vaguely, like 'we finally won the war' or something, since you either glow green or you dont. Unless they want to be prescriptive in future games, they'd have to make two models for every character. One with horribly ugly green glowy skin, and one normal one.

Also, regarding synthesis glowy skin: Am I the only one who think the effect just looks awful? Like, it totally ruins the look of every character that got synthesized? Can you imagine playing an entire game with that skin?

Some of ME3's effects are pewp. Have you noticed the low resolution of MP Rio's cityscape? Or the pixilation on London's moon? That thing looks like a fricken disco ball!

Not to mention that ME3's cinematics actually look worse than the ingame graphics, which is a first in my book.

The low resolution of the city scape on Rio reminded me of the City scape on Deus ex 1. I think that the city scape actually looked better in Deus Ex.

I don't think so.

And don't give me any prequel crap. 30 years is finite where as the future is fresh with infinite possibilities... and no retroactive 'better guns with thermal clips and better biotics' in 2160 than we had in 2183-85, garbage.

Exactly.

I prefer to interpret the whole thing as "We're not saying a word... until ME4."

And as someone else pointed out, it matches the texture of  the walls on the inside of the Derelict Reaper.

Can you imagine them announcing ME4, and also announcing they will not release any screenshots or show any in-game footage until the game is actually released?

"Whats the story of ME4?"
"Lots of speculation from everyone!"

I'm up to 8 PSP's and 1 SP post-Earth and still no new classes. On the bright side, I'm learning to love geth engineer. Overload spam is awesome and the buffed-yet-again mattock is great gun dps while still keeping weight lower than an anorexic midget.

well it seems bioware is dead set on just not giving a crap and saying "make up your own ending". well **** it then, if they don't care anymore then why should I.

Funny stuff. This part was my favorte:
"You assume Shepard survived. That could have just been a final breath before he/she died."

Yes, Chris. Why would we assume that End03_Shepard_Alive_Male & End03_Shepard_Alive_Fem meant Shepard's alive? Why indeed.

It'd be awesome if they'd stop insulting our intelligence.

One of the other things from the coats video that bothered me; did they add a bunch of keeper animation just so it could throw Shepards's helmet across the hallway? Animation that players can't see of a battered helmet that is shown prominently in the endings representing Shepard.

When it comes to that, it could simply be a decision regarding camera panning. I.E. The original take was to follow the helmet, then it was decided against. The camera operation was changed, but not the animation.

Either way, it's odd that they spent alot of time animating a segment that shows two things that shouldn't be there, more so if they intended the camera to follow one of those two.

They could always pull a Deus ex Invisible war and just use all three endings.

Comrade Gando, don't be disheartened. What it said wasn't important. That it was or wasn't something illegible isn't important.

It's that Harbinger 'said' anything at all is what's important.

Harbinger has finally spoken. Hooray! Shepard's won Harbinger's favor.

Honestly, they've got to know that we flycam the sh** out of the game, so I really think they left this in as an easter egg for us.

I'd much rather have a DLC than wait until ME4. As in, I'd easily lose interest by that time. Bioware find the perfect balance, when the speculations are still strong and enough time has passed...BOOM IT reveal. It would be groundbreakig

Did anybody see anything different from the EC data dump to the Earth one that TSA posted other than the multi-player scenario dialog (looked like a get to/defend air-dropped cargo goal). I didn't see any changes in the Leviathan content from what we'd allready seen.

And I think ME4 would be better. Look! It's been almost 5 months since ME3's release. Now it's only 15-20 more (not 25) to wait. It'll pass quicly and the reward will be glorious.

Sure, no matter how you look at it, they're running a game on us, but the question is are they pointing us to something, or just messing with us?

I misspoke.

I doubt it will be ME4.

I do however believe it will be a bridge to ME4, like Arrival was a bridge to ME3.

If Bioware didn't give the ending deserving of the series we knew and loved for five years, we can step in and do it for them.

Whether Bioware accepts it or not, IT is the most elegant and logically/thematically coherent interpretation of ME3 that I'm aware of. And it was created, analyzed, and tested by us. Even if it isn't Bioware's achievement, it's surely ours.

I think you have said it better then anyone!

Paxxton, I think it unlikely they will go back on the "end of Shepard's story" thing - I know they don't always follow through with what they say but this is too big a thing.
