I trust him simply because its either trust him, and hope he can give enough darkspawn intelligence that they'll eventually stop causing Blights and realize they are best off staying in the Deep Roads, or kill him, and leave the darkspawn mindless.

If there was a 'Destroy all darkspawn here and now' option, I'd take that, but since there isnt, I figure trusting the Architect is the best choice for now.

There is a third outcome you're not seeing.  He gives lots of darkspawn intelligence and while they keep doing blights, their newfound intelligence only makes it so they stop losing blights.  You're far better off with a stupid and mindless enemy than with an intelligent one.

Arent the darkspawn attracted to the Archdemons because they hear them making some kind of singing sort of noise? Wasnt the lack of such noise what drove the Mother insane?

Kind of seems like intelligent darkspawn cant hear the Archdemons, so wouldnt be able to seek any out to start a Blight.

Thats just speculation on my part of course, and trusting the Architect is still a huge leap of faith on my part, but I do somewhat trust him.

smokingotter, when you say "Awakening DLC" do you mean something similar to Dragon Age's Awakening or as in "Shepard wakes up, blows the Reapers to hell and lives sanely ever after?"[/quote]

Let's hope Shepard's awakening has less eldritch abominations than Dragon Age's awakening.

*snip*

And of course the Architect, who's just a sapient darkspawn that did no wrong and totally isn't one of the original Tevinter Magisters who breached the Golden City and released the darkspawn taint in the first place or anything.  You can trust him and stuff.[/quote]

Looking back I guess there are definetly parallels between ME 3 endings and dragon age awakening

TJBart I think there is something that Gabby and Donally talk about the Collector upduction, and how Gabby still has nightmers about it.

Also look for a Kelly Chambers video on youtube. I think she still has nightmers about the Collecors, and say something really weird about nightmers.

Cause since we dealt with that one insane intelligent Darkspawn who was causing havoc there can't be more later, right?

Also the darkspawnified tevinter mages were supposed to cause similar calls and even body-hop like the archdemons do, correct? Maybe the darkspawn under the Architect's banner didn't search for an archdemon because... they already had their substitute right there...

Benevolent or not, darkspawn spread disease and reproduce by violating other species. Fact. Nothing short of Plot Magic will change this. Good and evil don't factor into the equation here, their continued existence comes at the expense of humanity's.

Kelly Chambers recalls the collector incident in the same way Thane recalls memories. I thought that was odd to add

I believe its because you had a 'smokingotter wrote' part, but then nothing that smokingotter actually said, meaning you never closed the quote tag. If I'm correct my comment should work fine.

Edit: Yup!

Memories of traumatic events can be very, very vivid. Not neccesarily accurate, but very vivid. That's why they can cause so much trouble.

Well thats good enough for me, so long as it stops them from searching out more archdemons.

Benevolent or not, darkspawn spread disease and reproduce by violating other species. Fact. Nothing short of Plot Magic will change this. Good and evil don't factor into the equation here, their continued existence comes at the expense of humanity's.

Which is why when not given a choice to eradicate them completely, I choose to support the dude who claims he is going to keep them underground, and given the Awakening epilogue, and what happens in DA2, he seems to be keeping his word.

I believe it was stated somewhere that all it means is that the event was very emotionally scaring to her and now she remembers it in perfect detail. Like a Drell can almost recall every last one of their memories in perfect detail.

Why can't Shepard have nightmares like this instead of Starchild?

Met did you see the chat Bioware had today about ME3. They said IT is alive, and a lot of evidence that IT has is correct. And that Shepard is using the childs voice as a recuring memori from Shepards past. Or was it Shepard own voice.

Byne, you obviously haven't heard about what the bastard did in that one novel.

TL:DR - He wanted to spread the taint amongst all life. As a means of ending the conflict between darkspawn and non-darkspawn life.

Sound familiar?

Having never played DA this is the face I made after reading that:

*Snip*

"uhhhh... yes I um... agree!" *begins awkwardly whistling while slowly backing away to avoid judgemental glares*

If you got a good computer you can go get the game and all the DLC, it's on sell for only $7.49 on Steam for the Ultimate pack.

I'm watching that "There is only ONE choice" video.

Now I want to play DLC involving playing Javik during the Events of the Cronian Nebula. Especially confronting Javik's indoctrinated squad. Launch it by examining the memory shard or something.

So, I'm doing another playthrough of ME3. Just finished the first dream, and Shep is talking to Hackett about the Council:

Shep: We did present them with a lof of unknowns. They're feeling threatened and want immediate solutions, not theories.

Hackett: Theories are all we've got right now.

Indeed, Hackett. Indeed.

Simon you don't think what happened to Javiks squad/crew is happening to Shepard's right now in ME3. Also when Javik toughed the shard. He said " I had a crew like this one once, and a ship too, loyal ." And it makes me wonder about the if you fail in the Arrival dlc. When you see your squad under neath a Reaper. Could that be happening, if that's what happened to Javik's old crew?

That's a good one byne, and Hackett's " you can pay some on to charge up a hill. You can pay them to shot, but you can't pay them to believe."
