Chris Priestly started a poll...

http://www.holdtheli...on-theory.1909/
Now. That's very interesting.

Makes me hope they are actually considering this for the EC.

Im guessing the question was posted on the hold the line site because thats were the majority of the anger has been coming from.... so if THEY believe in IT, then its good to go.

thats what I think anyways.
Or guaging to see how many fans will backlash when EC doesn't contain IT. hey may be planning PR to keep these people from boycotting or tearing Bioware apart.
I almost signed up over there to do the poll. But I can't get behind the HTL folks even though I think at the core of it is sincere fandom. But the past couple of month' shinanigans attributed to HTL members kind of made them out to be the Tea Party of BSN.:D

Anyway, OT, I can't wait for the EC and see if IT still holds water. I hope it does and I hope it makes the majority of HTL peeps happy too.

(I always considered GArrus to be my characters Best Friend, Tali as like my sister, and Liara and Ashley as my LI (Ashley in 1, Liara in 3 hehe)).

I'm sorry, but the correct answer was Liara throughout all three games. Thanks for playing. ;)

Although personally Liara and MaleShep always felt off to me. If I'm punishing myself by playing MaleShep, its Ashley in ME1, then Tali in ME2 and ME3.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO LIARA IS GOOD ENOUGH FOR EVERYONE! Posted Image

Snip

No.

Hehe that's awesome.. Posted Image what I meant was kinda that Liara is just as good for a broshep as for femshep - I can see why many people like Tali. DW I'm not gonna make any more LI comments

Dont know specifically, but I've always believed that the breath scene is partly a secret that you only get to see if you choose the best option with high EMS. Meaning, breath scene always happens behind the scenes, but what happens after is up to your decisions.

I considered it to be Shep still being indocrtinated due to guilt. The child is meant to play on Shepard's feelings of guilt because there was nothing Shep could do to save him.
Now add more guilt of all the losses in the Sword fight, the vision of the Earth being burned, all relays destroyed, everyone stranded and no one leaves the Normandy.
You'd think afer all that Shepard's will would have been broken by the Reapers when they showed Shepard the consequences of his/her actions.
What a nightmare.

Just bumping this because I always seem to post something right before the beginning of a new page.

Just woke up, sifting through the last 20 pages. I wanted to ask something that has been bugging me for a few days now.

Has the idea been kicked around at all that Cerberus wanted us to find Javik?

Also, I threw this out last night and I think it got lost in the shuffle, the implications being that Harbinger might have had to do something with the Rachni wars in the current cycle.

Shepard: 'Are you a survivor from the war? A clone?

Rachni Queen: 'We do not know. We were only an egg, hearing Mother cry in our
dreams. A tone from space hushed one voice after another. It forced the singers to resonate with it's own sour yellow note.'

The Shepard's Breath scene is part of the story definately because it's before the closing credits unlike the Stargazer scene which is more of an Easter Egg.

So what extra good does NG+ give you besides extra time to level up and better rep? I had thought the stargazer scene was supposed to be it, but I got it on my first playthrough.

Then if it is, what relevence does EMS ultimatly play? If all you have to do is destroy the Collector base and not bother with the EMS, you wouldn't get that scene but it still happens regardless? Or am I misunderstanding what you said?

I speculate that the only tangible thing about your war assets is the war assets themselves, and that the point value/EMS system is actually Shepard's belief in their ability to win. It would explain the +/- 1000 EMS you get from whether or not you save Anderson from TIM.

Stargazer scene is always shown after credits from what I understand. Maybe it's an apology for a vague ending. Posted Image

And this is a point I'd like to be brought up more often. It works highly in favor of IT and the ending sequence being a hallucination.  Why the hell else would the game dock 1000 points from your score for someone THAT DIES ANYWAY at the end of the scene?! There is literally nothing else that this point value connects to, besides Shepard's willpower/hope.

*I'd like to add to this that 1000EMS can easily be the difference between getting all three options and Destroy+breath scene.

I interpreted it as BioWares way of trying to cement in our heads the belief that the war really was over, what we did led to some sort of peace sans Reapers. Something to make you believe in the illusion that much more.

No, Stargazer only appears when importing from either ME2 or ME3

It's also a point in favor of the likelihood that the choices presented to you by Starbinger are actually based on the Reaper's view of Shepard's usefulness due to his mental/emotional capacity, rather than the size of the force he brought with him to Earth.

I didnt know that. That actually makes a lot of sense in the IT context, since it's the players that have imported that are going to be interested in "One more story..." for Shepard.

It shows for Imports OR for any game completion after the first completion.
Think of it as tied to the "Long Service Medal" achievement on the 360.

I believe that entire scene is actually complete fiction, speaking directly to the player, hinting that there is more to come.

Before you say "Fiction within fiction? lolwut Blasto the Hanar Spectre?" Allow me to explain.

Kid (representing the player): Did that all really happen? (Is that really the ending?)
Stargazer (representing Bioware): Yes, but some of the details have been lost in time (The details are coming, but they will take some time)
Kid: When can I go to the stars? (When is the real ending/dlc coming?)
Stargazer: One day my sweet. (Be patient)
Kid: What will be there? (obvious)
Stargazer: Anything you can imagine! (We'll take your feedback into account)
Stargazer: ...and every life is a special story of its own (everyone's story will be wrapped up when we're done)
Kid: Tell me another story about the Shepard (obvious)
Stargazer: It's getting late but, okay, one more story... (;))

I find the wording of Chris Priestly's poll interesting, at first he asked (paraphrased), 'what do you expect from the EC' and then his next post starts with 'OK, a simpler question, do you believe IT', to me that seems like hinting as the second question leads on from the first. If I was at Bioware and was to ask what you expect from the EC, and you give me a long winded answer and I then interrupted you and said, 'ok, ok, but what about IT?' what would you think? Maybe I'm just too hopeful.

Hmm just listened again to some Harbinger quotes:
"We are the Harbinger to your perfection, we will bring your species into harmony with our own."
Doesn't that remind us how the green ending is named?

Sov: "We are eternal. The pinnicle of evolution and existance."
Catatlyst: (paraphrased) "Synthisis is perfection"
At first I was like "lol wut?"
But then I asked "Oh is it because it'll turn us into bio-synthetics?"
Still I wouldn't go for that choice.

While we're on the topic of EMS, if 5000 is enough to let Anderson die and survive, can I let Javik die and survive?
