a) EA won't let the ME franchise die. ME3 was a success financially, it's going to have sequels or prequels of some sort. It's only a matter of time.

B) Most fans associate Commander Shepard with the ME series. Imagine the confusion and backlash if EA were to release a core Mass Effect game without Shepard as a protagonist.

c) I don't see how they can move forward with Synthesis. Moving forward with Control will be incredibly tricky, and most likely end with betrayal. Moving forward with Destroy is the easiest and has the most potential.

a) Agreed
B) Not necessarily. See Halo: Reach
c) Totally agree

Reach was Reach. It was a signficant entry in the franchise, but it wasn't a part of the 'core' storyline surrounding Master Chief and the Halo reinstallations. Hence why I said core.
I actually almost wrote Halo relays there... :?

Didn't know that. I stand corrected.

I watched the comic con panel today. They said something about trying to envision a city on Tuchanka in a few hundred years. So building a city takes a few hundred years because the city is shown being built in that slide. lol

Fair point, but it still sold like crazy. Nothing stopping EA/Bioware from doing the same. Although I might rage if it took 5 years to pick up with Shep again. Forget what I said. -_-

People are boarding the conclusion train already with a one way ticket to Assumption City. The story isn't over yet, Bioware hasn't even released one single player DLC yet (EC does not count). The multiplayer story is still going on. Have a little faith peoples.

My main beef about the ending is that Bioware made the mistake of making plot references to "The Crucible" by Arthur Miller. Your fans don't watch plays Bioware. Might as well called the crucible device "Ernest Goes to Camp" or "The Twilight Saga: New Moon" than more people would get it.

Which means that they would have to make Destroy canon.

Unless they did IT....

Well destroy will still have to be canon because the other two get Shepard indoctrinated. And before they move on, they have to solve the problem of how the reapers lost conventionally.

I'm listening to the EC soundtrack.

"I Am Alive and I Am Not Alone."

People said it sounded like the galaxy map music. I don't think it does. It sounds like The Illusive Man theme...

To be fair, it's not much of a story. It's the occasional paragraph or two to justify Bioware keeping track of how many people will play during advertised events. And given the requirement drop from the first promotion event to the second, it's fallen off considerably.

I got an idea of how long it all too. The Citadel is a big place with a lot of unkowns. To rebuild it back to normal would take decades if not more. Earth alone would take years to rebuild since every major city and more was attacked. Resources already start low since the reapers took them all out and the relays being damged doesn't help either.

Unless the Crucible was used.

If Shepard can activate it remotely in the dream, concensus/Sarenbot style, victory.

If not, and the Crucible is a genuine weapon against the reapers, it gets activated, victory.

If the Crucible is a reaper trap it can be set to backfire on the reapers, victory.

If the Crucible is a dud... no clue. ME4 can follow the decades-long guerilla war or something.

True. Until there is citadel MP which I have a feeling will be coming in the next few months.

I would enjoy a "Defend Colonel Tigh" objective wave.

1) Very unlikely, to me at least.
2) Doesn't seem to be, there's no way, at least known to the player, of a way to man or control it.
3) If the Curcible was a reaper trap and previous cycles knew it, passing it down would be a huge risk.
4) We have the Reject ending now. We know how it goes down if the Crucible doesn't fire.

I think the Earth MP trailer was apart of the Story, since Anderson was talking about " Until the fleets arrive. We are taht's left".

Even in ancient times building a city didn't take hundreds of years.

" objective is to save the Council before the Enemy get's to the Council first, and get to the LZ site." I can see that for the exstraction point., once you are on wave 11.

It takes place during Shepard's voyage through the Galaxy. I think it also spans the ending because the trailer showed Harbinger and the last push to the beam.

The original MP had some maps. Can be compared to the fall of Earth or even before.

Resurgence . Palaven.

Rebellion. Sur'Kesh and Thessia.

Earth. Well... Earth.

The MP expansions are following the same pattern of how the war was spreading that the SP campaign did. Though I wonder why the geth were introduced to MP so early. Hrm.

If the pattern holds, where are we going to go next then? Citadel seems to be an obvious choice. Maybe Cronos.

It sucks that Baily is not an assent. He could have been 10 points worth of assets. But no. yet I hope he his the one giving orders and new characters too. csec guardian, or Specter watchman oh you get the point.

Of course not. Buildings were made of clay and wood. Cities in the future would require much more complexity and supplies wouldn't they?

That level on Presidium where you chased Kai Leng looked well-suited for MP.
