The original MP had some maps. Can be compared to the fall of Earth or even before.

Resurgence . Palaven.

Rebellion. Sur'Kesh and Thessia.

Earth. Well... Earth.

The MP expansions are following the same pattern of how the war was spreading that the SP campaign did. Though I wonder why the geth were introduced to MP so early. Hrm.

If the pattern holds, where are we going to go next then? Citadel seems to be an obvious choice. Maybe Cronos.

or the Collector base, or ship in the center of the galaxy. i always wonder will we go back to the Center of the galaxy, in MP, or SP, or both.

And I mean a new Collector base that is some where else in the Center of the galaxy.

If the Crucible is a dud... no clue. ME4 can follow the decades-long guerilla war or something.

3) If the Curcible was a reaper trap and previous cycles knew it, passing it down would be a huge risk.
4) We have the Reject ending now. We know how it goes down if the Crucible doesn't fire.

I can address these two.

3) The other cycles didn't know it was a Reaper trap, that's why they passed it down.  And it might be possible to set it to backfire on the Reapers if not, *cracks knuckles like Shepard before he puts the smack down on the Shadow Broker* "Then we do this the hard way."

4) Assuming that the ending is a hallucination, then Star-Brat is quite probably trying to mislead Shepard by telling him that a conventional victory is impossible. and the Reapers are showing Shepard what they WANT him to see.  They WANT him to think that a conventional victory is impossible if he chooses Rejection.  Whether it's possible in the real world is a whole different matter, especially if we get a Reaper on our side (Leviathan).

Stated by the developers that the slides look out hundreds of years after the fact.

Didn't know that. I stand corrected.

I watched the comic con panel today. They said something about trying to envision a city on Tuchanka in a few hundred years. So building a city takes a few hundred years because the city is shown being built in that slide. lol

I got an idea of how long it all too. The Citadel is a big place with a lot of unkowns. To rebuild it back to normal would take decades if not more. Earth alone would take years to rebuild since every major city and more was attacked. Resources already start low since the reapers took them all out and the relays being damged doesn't help either.

Even in ancient times building a city didn't take hundreds of years.

Of course not. Buildings were made of clay and wood. Cities in the future would require much more complexity and supplies wouldn't they?

No, the Galaxy is in the Stone Age so they should build like Cavemen.

Was Firebase Hydra in SP?

No. They also haven't touched Rannoch yet. They've said they'll continue making MP DLCs "as long as people keeping playing" so we could be looking at a few more expansions.

The multiplayer story is still going on.

To be fair, it's not much of a story. It's the occasional paragraph or two to justify Bioware keeping track of how many people will play during advertised events. And given the requirement drop from the first promotion event to the second, it's fallen off considerably.

I think the Earth MP trailer was apart of the Story, since Anderson was talking about " Until the fleets arrive. We are taht's left".

It takes place during Shepard's voyage through the Galaxy. I think it also spans the ending because the trailer showed Harbinger and the last push to the beam.

Yes and how Anderson was with the N7 classes. Bad ***, but always wonder why this was so specail than the other MP dlc trailers, and MP it's self. And yes i know this is Earth, but why the have cut scenes that look like Sp game play.

So having Rio doesn't mean we'll see it in SP.

Well destroy will still have to be canon because the other two get Shepard indoctrinated. And before they move on, they have to solve the problem of how the reapers lost conventionally.

Unless the Crucible was used.

If Shepard can activate it remotely in the dream, concensus/Sarenbot style, victory.

If not, and the Crucible is a genuine weapon against the reapers, it gets activated, victory.

If the Crucible is a reaper trap it can be set to backfire on the reapers, victory.

If the Crucible is a dud... no clue. ME4 can follow the decades-long guerilla war or something.

1) Very unlikely, to me at least.
2) Doesn't seem to be, there's no way, at least known to the player, of a way to man or control it.
3) If the Curcible was a reaper trap and previous cycles knew it, passing it down would be a huge risk.
4) We have the Reject ending now. We know how it goes down if the Crucible doesn't fire.

I probably used the wrong tense, by the way. Meant to be talking about the options as possible ways forward and not "what already happened."

1) Unlikely. Not unprecedented.
2) The beam attempt failed. "There's always another way."
3) Point being that the previous cycles didn't know it was a trap until too late.
4) We know very little as a matter of fact. We still don't know what the Crucible did, if it worked, or even if it actually destroyed the reapers or not. All it tells us that the Council Cycle is broken and a future cycle found the pieces.

One reason could be that Earth is special in ME3.

Or maybe it's just London.  Anderson was born in London, you know. B)

On the contrary. Complexity and standards have grown, but our means of planning, acquiring the required resources and actually assembling just about anything has kept up with that growth, if not far surpassed it.

It took eight years to build the Roman Colosseum. It took five to build the Bird's Nest.

Hey paxx, heads up, I posted on the UNIT thread. Also, on a completely different topic, I just came to the conclusion that, if it wasn't for that pesky omni-shield, Shepard probably would have beaten the Shadow Broker in hand to hand combat. Yeah.

Hydra and Leviathan.. I wonder..
Firebase Hydra is on Arvuna in the Caleston Rift. Here's part of the description:
"With oceans covering 90 percent of Arvuna's surface, this moon of Dranen is classified as a water world. "

Now I'm not saying they might put it in some sp dlc but, they might put it in some sp dlc.

Wait a minute Punny that might tie into the whole underwater atlas. Were on to your sneakyness bioware.

Edit: if they do that then they might as well confirm rio as somewhere important.

You need a proper otter avatar. Just like Master Blaster actually needs to get a Master Blaster avatar.

Also, wait. You serious or just joking?

It also ties to Ontarom so if it's not part of the Leviathan storyline, I imagine it could add another N7 mission regarding defending or possibly restarting the dam facility.

Well, Jacob DID say he knew a nice bar in Rio.  Oh man, I just had a thought.  Jacob is in Rio.  He finds the bar, now, a bombed out shell.  He FREAKS.  The Reapers better kiss their sorry butts goodbye, 'cause after that, they are all going to DIE.

Wait, did that just rhyme?

I tried I do have one. Problem is you can do custom avatars but you have to have Dragon Age, do some silly hack thing and then it'll work. Hey if the moderators are listening can I have this as my avatar please. No I can't prove this is me, I'm an otter, I don't have ID.

Not that I don't like Joker, he's great and all, but if you can...

I figured I might as well post SOMETHING there.  I didn't actually say that I supported it, but I did say that it was an interesting hypothesis.  And it WOULD make the mission on Horizon serve as a VERY important plot point beyond just being the place where Cerberus is established as pure evil, and being the place where you find TIM's location.  Note, I'm not saying that Shepard could have been EXPOSED to nanites there, but that it would establish a method for a different form of indoctrination.  Wait, I just had a thought.  Maybe the Conduit beam (And by extension, the Synthesis beam.) infects anyone who uses it with nanites.  It would both accelerate the prosess of breaking down the humans once they got to the Citadel, and it could be a nifty way for Shepard to become indoctrinated/get turned into a Paul Grayson style monster.

And this would make sense seeing as how, in my opinion, choosing Synthesis is far worse than choosing Control in terms of the mentality behind it.

You can do it just with the free DAO Character Creator as well y'know. Like so.
