Hey paxx, heads up, I posted on the UNIT thread. Also, on a completely different topic, I just came to the conclusion that, if it wasn't for that pesky omni-shield, Shepard probably would have beaten the Shadow Broker in hand to hand combat. Yeah.
I figured I might as well post SOMETHING there. I didn't actually say that I supported it, but I did say that it was an interesting hypothesis. And it WOULD make the mission on Horizon serve as a VERY important plot point beyond just being the place where Cerberus is established as pure evil, and being the place where you find TIM's location. Note, I'm not saying that Shepard could have been EXPOSED to nanites there, but that it would establish a method for a different form of indoctrination. Wait, I just had a thought. Maybe the Conduit beam (And by extension, the Synthesis beam.) infects anyone who uses it with nanites. It would both accelerate the prosess of breaking down the humans once they got to the Citadel, and it could be a nifty way for Shepard to become indoctrinated/get turned into a Paul Grayson style monster.
And this would make sense seeing as how, in my opinion, choosing Synthesis is far worse than choosing Control in terms of the mentality behind it.

I have to think about it cause as far as I remember the only place the inhaleable nanides were used was on the Citadel. Traditionally, nanides are used in Dragon's Teeth but if the Reapers possess such technology they might as well use it to indoctrinate large-scale populations. I don't see though how the beam could spread nanides though. As for the Sanctuary, I agree that this place is more than where you get to know the ugly face of Cerberus. If this was merely the only purpose why put the logs on nanides and the research in there?Dwailing wrote...

Yes, but still they look blurred in comparison to the BSN ones.Simon_Says wrote...
Avatars have to be limited to 146x146 pixels, unfortunately. And the otter is a crop and resize from Otter's own source.

I don't mind, my vision is usually blurry along with my speech sometimes (opens a can of beer). Don't know why for the life of me.

I took his "just trolling" comment to either refer to the rebar falling and Shepard dying, or he had just realized what he said, or both.
I can't imagine they'd be hiding this at this point. They've explained away some of the plot holes in the ending, they explained the dreams and the shadows of people and they admit that the original plan was to leave the ending open to interpretation. They also state that there's no canon ending. IT would be a canon ending.
For the endings to be open to interpretation, they have to be taken literally first. Otherwise, you'd have to wonder if the whole series was a dream.

a) EA won't let the ME franchise die. ME3 was a success financially, it's going to have sequels or prequels of some sort. It's only a matter of time. Most fans associate Commander Shepard with the ME series. Imagine the confusion and backlash if EA were to release a core Mass Effect game without Shepard as a protagonist.
c) I don't see how they can move forward with Synthesis. Moving forward with Control will be incredibly tricky, and most likely end with betrayal. Moving forward with Destroy is the easiest and has the most potential.
a) AgreedNot necessarily. See Halo: Reach
c) Totally agree
