The Reapers made it pretty quick into the galaxy. Only a few months. So it wouldn't take tooo long...

Except they would likely have started moving the instant Sovereign was destroyed, not the instant the Collector base was destroyed.

So more like two and a half years.

You sure? I think the idea of showing the scene at the end of ME2 was that they didn't start until Harbinger let go of control of the collectors. It was pretty much what I got from it.

Well, the Collectors really had no feasible way of being able to successfully open the Relay if even Sovereign and the geth failed to do it. The Reapers knew that. I always thought the point of showing it was that ME2 was just a delaying action, and that the Reapers were already on their way.

Anything new happend the past 30 pages?

2 pages ago I had a pretty convincing hypothesis on the Leviathan DLC with proof from the leak and a picture from BioWare.

Yknow, if the Leviathan DLC takes place underwater, do you think we'll actually get to fight hanar? I mean, fighting them in their natural environment would be pretty tough.

I thought it was meant to show how close they were to the galaxy since it shows the galaxy at the end before fading to Black.

Why Hanar? Hanar use tech to fight for them. (The wusses. <_< How hard is it to hack tech to fight you? Not hard. Look at the Archangel mission in ME2.)

Is the visual effect of the Starbrat the same as those of the oily shadows in the dreams? Aside from colour and illumination they look strikingly similar to me...

I tried to find that smeary smile what the Catalyst does, when you choose destroy. I tried to caught the best moment, when is mouth and eye is visible. I got this:

Don't know if you can make it out. A little maybe.

Okay so it's apparent it's not the same effect. But holy crap are they similar.

Unless we’d be fighting huskified Hanar...

They still would be using tech, but now it's implanted into them. What happened to good old fashioned Krogan brute strength?

edit - Cool pic though. If this is really the end of the Reapers, I really was disappointed we didn't see a Reaper varient of all the main species. Even if it was just like in Horizon in ME3 in tubes. It would have been cool to see and not have to have programming for how each one reacts and attacks.

Damn jellyfish nearly strangled me to death
. - Zaeed Massani.

Zaeed  was nearly killed by a hanar on dry land. Imagine what they could do in water, where they can actually effectively fight.

Yknow who else uses tech? Literally everyone.

Do you think guns just grow on a gun tree or something?

No. Guns are people without legs. They can't speak or move on their own. Effectively they are a lower based synthetic life form. We currently abuse them and use them to injure people against the guns will. Zaeed understands this. Remember Bessie?

JK. :P I know. But a gun tree would be cool. Really anything is possible. I have a money tree not too far from my house... ;)

Umm... a species that can augment its own deadliness with technology, will. Those who don't tend to get wiped out by those who do. Doesn't matter how deadly the species is to begin with. A Yahg with a gun is more deadly than one without. A Hanar with a gun is a threat even if a Hanar without one isn't.

Oh yeah. Byne I was talking about like VI's and stuff. they really never do the fighting in real life and prefer for machines do it for them. Like robots. But they can be vicious if need be. (But then anything could if survival is in question.)

They only use VIs and stuff because they are pretty weak out of water. Thats why I was saying they'd be pretty tough to fight in the water. They'd just swim around you in circles super fast, getting in a ton of hits and disorienting you.

Huh? Either my hearing is horrible or I have a bad memory on that in ME2 but I could of sworn it was Bessie. But then again I wasn't playing too close attention to Zaeed's gun's name.

this makes me think about star wars and the famous "luke I am your father" line. that was a major league plot twist. SO major league that only a handful (I think 4) of people knew about it before it was revealed, and it's still a famous line 20 years later. Heck from what I heard even the actors themselves didn't know about it until 5 minutes before they filmed the scene. The actors were probably like "whoa holy ****?!" when they found out. My guess is mac n' casey might be going for the same thing here. only a few people are aware of the major plot twist that is yet to come. I sure hope they know what they're doing. they can only come out of these as literary champions or complete hacks. only time will tell.

edit: my bad I didn't even address the quote, I think that your boy chris doesn't know what they're planning either. the only man that knows exactly what is going on is mac walters.

It did.
Mac Walters posted on Twitter that the Reaper started their travel to the galaxy at the end of ME1.
