I put on my headphones and didn't hear any bells in the breath scene. Though I hear sounds similar to those of the Reapers.
[/quote]
It starts like 3-5 seconds in if it helps keep playing in a loop and turn up the volume. better yet give me a link and i'll find it.

Edit: not again.....

If HellishFiend were here then he'd help explain because I remember arguing that point across and he seemed to agree.
Well my statement says that during the panning of the camera , if you listen over the music you can here a vague "bell chiming". Now how many clock towers are on the Citadale that you know of? And need I mention you were in close proximity to Big Ben during the beam sequence if I remember correctly. Regardless, I still hear it.

I have watched that seen dozens of times, never heard any bells. Any way you could isolate the sound and make it clearer?

I thought there would've been a massive flood of speculations about that. Posted Image

I've got an idea! Consider how the EC somewhat sent a different message on what the Catalyst was. In the original I got an impression that he was a seperate entity from the Reapers and commanded them. On the other hand, in the EC he's no longer a free-willed being but instead embodies the collective intelligence of the Reapers. The "Reaper consensus" governs him. It may not seem as being so at first glance but think about it.

Not really, from what i read Garrus send you an E-mail saying Shep and him should try again when it is less windy. Artifical enviroments simulating wind.

Shep should still be on the base of the tower. No wind in space. (Pedant mode: or not wind as we know it)

I still think a major point in IT's favour is the utter implausiblity of the decision chamber's existence. So you're telling me that for thousands of years, no one looked at the bottom of the Citadel tower?

Again I need a link to the EC's breathing scene/high EMS destroy ending. I'm unable to link for some reason.

That's a good point. However one has to remember that the Keepers were specifically placed to stop the curiosity of the other species, therefore they were less likely to look around the Citadel and discover the chamber

You're kinda of implying that the Catalyst has always had the form of the boy, I don't think that's believable

Well if IT is not true, then how did the Catalyst know what the boy looked like?

You have to go to 17:01 and from there is the EC breath scene.

It is not interesting so much that he takes the form of a human boy (AIs can take the form of anything they want, and the child is a manipulation tactic) but what is interesting is how he takes that form specifically. The "catalyst" has to be in Shepard's head in one way or another. Either IT is true, and he is a hallucination, or the literal endings are true, and he can read minds. There is no precedent for AIs reading minds in ME, and it would be totally, totally lame.

Just to set this straight, the Catalyst has no form, it's an AI, he takes the form of the kid.

The Catalyst is the collective consciousness of the Reapers, yes?

It therefore sees, hears and experiences all the Reapers see, hear and experience yes?

The Reapers saw the kid, yes?

Therefore, the Catalyst knows about the kid.

Here's a better breath scene without music (pre-EC):

Well if that's true then. the Catalyst could have appered as  Shepard his/her self, or any other person the Reaeprs have seen. And Shepard would still not complain why it takes the form of Shepard, or anybody else.

Seriously? Those 3 chime-like sounds are Reaper-like? I thought they blare fog horns which we interpertated as "Dubstep".
Edit: For the pre-EC, 0:03-0:06 I heard it.

That would still mean the reapers took special note of the kid, and they still wouldn't know Shep has been having nightmares of the kid.

The Catalyst doesn't have a natural form.

And if it was in the form of Shepard people would say that this is also a symbol of a dream

Um, that scene only appears in destroy. Y'know, the one where there's no reapers to make reaper noises. I'd find reaper noises MORE telling than bells.
