I also just found this, so Jessica might just be trolling us a bit again. http://twitter.com/#...373032900997120

Edit: Of course, there was also this, so at this point, as much as I love Jessica, I think I might just disregard what she says.

Edit: She also said this, too.
http://twitter.com/#...363288895262720  It must mean something.

Ugh. Someone needs to dislike that Futurama video. I already liked it so I cant dislike it. But the balance is off! The like vs dislike ratio isnt neutral as it should be!

What I love about videos with the neutral aliens, is that most of them have an equal amount of likes and dislikes. Its like the most I've ever seen anyone on the internet work together, but they do their best to keep it neutral.

Edit: Never mind. Someone rectified it while I was writing that.

Its amazing how hard they work to keep it neutral.

K it's even ;)

Edit: NM F***!

Its even again!

Like I said, they work hard at keeping it neutral :D

Thought I'd just chime in after rediscovering the thread after the prior one was locked. Apologies in advance if I'm treading through anything already covered.

After playing through the game 3 times now with different characters, the IT theory is now so obvious to me I'm having a hard time even getting in the frame of mind of those who are unconvinced. Too many subtle but relatively blatent clues abound to honestly come to another explaination. Hidden in plain sight - but there nonetheless.

It's a bit uncharitable, but I'm starting to come to the conclusion that those who disagree are either cynical to a fault, or just hate the idea of being fooled too much to objectively weigh the evidence. Personally, I *like* being outsmarted by a good author - or game developer in this case, and I'm facinated at what the extended cut is likely to develop into. I also think that the clues are too well placed and Bioware's responses too purposely vague for this to have been anything but a planned idea. At this point it's probably an idea Bioware is smarting over a bit - I doubt they meant for this much negative feedback, but I think the payoff is going to be worth it in the end.

My personal take is that there is going to be an extended action sequence, with at least a large portion of it happening on the Citadel. If you notice throughout the game, an absolutely enormous amount of time is spend on sidequests that affect the 'citadel defense forces'. But the relative payoff for all that effort is too small in comparison. I got around ~200-215 points for all that effort, which pales in comparison to, say, the Krogan. I'm expecting that the effort taken for those 200ish points will have a more specific payoff in the Extended Cut - your fight through the Citadel may be assisted more, and perhaps with a lower score, some of your squad gets permanently killed assisting you to the end.

Wait, Arian is from Alaska?  Well, I guess I can now forgive Alaska for giving us Sarah Palin since it gave us Arian. ;)

Kinda/sorta off topic but, Operation SHIELDWALL is this weekend for MP and they added this little note:

"Special Circumstance: Due to the failure of Operation SILENCER, more banshees will spawn with Reaper enemies and might also spawn with other enemies."

How awesome is THAT?? Consequences of our past actions and all.

I still dont fully buy that we failed SILENCER. Seems too convenient that in the game, asari colonies had to be abandoned due to the Reaper attacks, and then we fail an operation to kill reapified asari, and asari colonies have to be abandoned.

Why are some saying that I.T requires the end to be retconned?(it's on the HTL votes), the end we see can still happen, then the EC adds to it with Shepard breaking free of the indoctrination attempt and waking up in the rubble.

Here's my guess at why some have a problem with it, they fear they won't get their control or synthesis dream outcome.
"I want to be a big dude and control the reapers."
"I want a utopian society where all will live in peace and harmony."

Personally I want to get back in the thick of the action and kick reaper ass.

I think they set the goal to 3 mil Banshee's on purpose, so we would fail since those are some tough bastards to kill. Well, maybe not for everyone but for the majority of MPers without rockets. Maybe we still would've got the same message if we won, but slightly altered for the story sake "In spite of our best efforts the Reapers have surged forward, forcing us to abandon a number of Asari Colonies" and we'd all still get Victory Packs and the Fall of Thessia would remain canon.

I believe it. 3 million was a ridiculous goal. There are far fewer banshees than phantoms or brutes, and the goal was set higher. Plus, people were disillusioned by the lackluster victory packs, and saw little reason to go out of their way to kill a bunch of the most difficult enemy in the game.

Also, I found another interesting tidbit about the control ending. I'm uploading a screenshot of it now.

EDIT: here it is!

Notice the fade to whitethat we also have seen at certain other places...:wizard:

That's the beauty of IT. Since it essentially focuses on the player rather than Shepard, it takes advantage of those who employ too much idealism.

They shouldn't abandon those who chose Control or Synthesis or Destroy (with low EMS).

Define abandon? Dont get me wrong, my legendsave recorded that I picked control, so I goofed just as badly as those who still defend control/synthesis despite knowing what we know now. Still, I rightfully expect to have to deal with some consequences for making the wrong choice. Wouldnt have it any other way.

Yeah, I got 2 Sheps that chose control, 2 that chose synthesis, and 4 that chose destroy...

I look forward to seeing how the consequences will look like in the EC!

I meant the same thing they did with ME2-to-ME3 save import (or lack thereof) if Shepard died at the end of ME2. It'd be unfair cause you had to really try to have Shepard die and it's really easy not to get the Shepard's Breath scene.
