On another topic - if Bioware does release I.T. themed, post-ending DLC where Shepard gets to wake up and kick Reaper butt, does anyone else think it might be cool for him / her to get bonus powers from the multi-player list?

It would be a bit like the dream sequences in Baldur's gate where you earned bonus powers depending on the alignment of your choices. The rationale would be the exposure to Reaper nanites or whatever would give him new abilities.

I'm assuming that there would be a way for the crew to break Shep out of indoctrination from choosing Control or Synthesis to continue the fight (possibly with help from the Rachni Queen if alive). 

I'm thinking along these lines: -

Control - bonus tech power - as that's aligned with wanting to become an AI (supposedly).

Synthesis - bonus biotic power - as that involves a desire to evolve organics.

Destroy - bonus combat / ammo power - as that's the most militant choice.

Refuse - bonus stat boosting power - called something like "Indomitable Will" - that can boost shields, health, or the strength of other powers - due to that choice being the most true to Shepard's character.

I think it would be cool for the decisions made during the dream state to have some real world consequences. It would address some of the concerns from the anti-IT crowd that the dream is a meaningless interlude that's not important to the main narrative. (that's not a concern I personally share, I'm in favour of the IT - but if it gets more people on board that's a good thing).

My thread's coming along nicely. I'm gathering together a list of quotes from Bioware which non-ITers think are damning for the IT.

I'm hoping by looking at them together we can try and address them but also try and see the ending in with a kind of objective view. Opinions?

Also, disappointingly my laptop starts chugging into low framerates during the more hectic multiplayer fights. Not helpful.

Here's hoping they wait til I've got my desktop back before releasing Leviathan

Crap, I've gotten 5 damn premium spectre packs, and in 4 of them, I get the same damn N7 hurricane upgrade! It pisses me off!

Just had a look at your thread. It's a good idea I think. It's always good to maintain objectivity by hearing alternative opinions.

Do you mean commendation packs? Because I dont think PSPs ever contain upgrades to the original N7 weapons.

Think of the positives though! If you want a gun to deal a lot of damage to an enemy roughly the size and shape of a cruise liner at a distance of about 12 feet, there's a fair chance that the majority of your bullets will hit

As for this thread being slow - well, there's surely not that much to discuss til leviathan gets released next month?
