Well I play as Femshep too, but I don't think having Maleshep is a reason not to see it. What did you expect? Hell it might be a good thing; doing Femshep would be something very easy to screw up/hollywoodize. You know what I mean?

Well manshep is and has been the main face of Mass Effect since the beginning of the series. It would make sense to do the same in the movie. Besides, femshep has only been recognized as cover material since ME3. And even then they make the default femshep look like this:

Yeah I'll stick with broshep as my canon...thank you very much.

Let's be honest.
This film is going to suck wrinkly, fetid testicles.
Let's just ignore it and hope it goes away.

Ill reserve judgement, but video game movies dont exatly have an amazing track record.

Boss: "Johnson, lets hear your proposal!"
Johnson: "Ok sir, what is the most important thing in Mass Effect?"
Boss: "Choices, I'd say. Take those away and you take away what makes Mass Effect great."
Johnson: "Ok, well, what if we took all those choices away, and made it a movie!"
Boss: "Perfect! Here is your raise!"

Yeah, it's probly gonna suck.

The best thing they could do was probably to go outside the games plot, cover something different like the First Contact War or just some new story entirely. It would easier structuring of it all.

But dosent seem like it...

The odd thing is he's good at the other characters he does, so he can act. He just went for 'bored' as his main emotion as Shepard.

Fan: "Mass Effect movie what's the worst that could happen?"

(Movie Starts, Turian shows up on the screen, it's Garrus!)

Garrus: "Shepard! Messa Jar Jar Garrus! We-saa gonna fight reapers?"

*DAMAGE CONTROL*

>default femshep BioWare's choice. Not the players. (Sort of.)
>Seeing that it was BioWare's choice and they screwed up, what makes you think they wouldn't again with an actor?
>Didn't imply that fem players use femshep default
>Personal opinion not facts. Just a little biased cause I prefer maleshep.

It took me quite a while and the filename to get that it should depict Liara.

Yeah, he does the vorcha, for one, and he's great at that. I think he tries way too hard to be a stoic soldier when doing Shep's voice, but Shep isnt a stoic soldier, Shep has emotions.

Best explanation I've seen to date is that Meer plays Shepard, but Hale is Shepard.

I still like Jar Jar and the Phantom Menace as a whole.

Granted I saw the movie when it came out in theaters, and I was 9, so, yknow, the target age for Jar Jar.

Havent seen the movie since, nor do I plan to, because I know I wouldnt like it as much now, and its nice to actually have fond memories of the first movie instead of negative ones like everyone else has.

Well the tone of voice reminds me of the prediction by the consort in ME1. Something about having a tough shell but that is not who he is.

How about - I have a friend who's a musical theater actor/singer/whateveryoucallthem

Could get the narration done in the style of the phantom of the opera :D

I AM a Thespian! :D

I can do the same thing. :P

But yeah, I don't think Hellish would want the extra work of a triple narrator.

Hmm, the idea is intriguing, for sure. Maybe at one point we can do a special skit where we incorporate that feature. :D

Thats all well and good, but in a series where most of the focus is on interactions and relationships with your squad, not showing any emotion is a serious detriment.

Yeah, it's probly gonna suck.

I think the conversation was probably more like:

"Video games are old news. MOVIES, that's where the money is..."
"But sir, I.."
"Three and a half BILLION Avatar made. Why aren't we making that kind of money"
"Well yes it is very impressive sir but you should note that"
"Say, if we made a low-budget Mass Effect movie, would people go to see it?"
"Well... yes, but the damage to our reputation could"
"Perfect! Let's make this thing. Hire a director with some thin glasses and let's get to work. This Liara character here; Scientists don't sell tickets, what if she were a stripper?"
*Assistant backs slowly out of room*
