so no new evidence, no new videos? Can you guys point me in a direction at least? I'm interested.

The chapter of the final hours app talking about ME3's ending is called "The Perfect Illusion"

Otter posted a bunch of stuff about train noises.

I reaperised my voice using a virtual effects rack.

Not much has happened lately, I think we're all just waiting for Leviathan...

Oh, and there was some really interesting stuff by Megumi about the asari consort from ME1 a few pages ago...

That final hours app chapter title is really interesting.
It still seems like they just couldn't figure out how they wanted to end it so they just gave us a LOST.
At the end, everyone meets in a Chur- I mean at the Normandy Memorial.

We'll get past it. I don't think the mods will allow something like that to happen again.
I honestly think the mod screwed up because he didn't just ban the person and erase all his messages.
But our thread members hold some of the blame for acknowledging the troll's existence.

The message we got at the time was that the thread had gotten far too long for people to read.
Which is interesting in itself, given that the "Waaaah we hate the endings" thread was about 4000 pages long at the time.

I hate to geek out ^_^  but technically the end of LOST is Jack closing his eyes, book-ending the series since it started with him opening it, revealing Jack was ALWAYS the main protagonist.
Whiny, smug, arrogant, waffling, metrosexual, daddy-issues-filled Jack. <_<

*stares at chocolate cake in the Vancouver multiplayer map*

*stares most intently at the strawberry topping formation*

......

This is important.

This means something.

......but seriously, can anyone make out the image on the televisions in the London multiplayer map? I'm not saying it has indoctrination significance per se, but let us leave no stone unturned.

As much grouching as I'm doing here, I actually liked it but that's probably because something like the movie Castaway is my fantasy to escape from civilization.

I actually havent watched it either. And considering I hear you dont get answers to a lot of the questions, I dont ever plan to, because I hate that kind of stuff.

Wait.
There's an image on the TVs? It may just be something like the British equivalent of the signoff screen with the crosses and the native american since I doubt the news agencies on earth are operating in any kind of efficient capacity..

You get answers to most of them. For most people, the answers were not satisfactory I guess.

EDIT: er just like mass effect and Matrix trilogy. This decade has had a hardon for open-ended endings.

I hadn't noticed the cake
If I were on my desktop I could extract the TV textures from london, but I can't - that's the trouble with multiplayer maps, I'm invariably busy with that whole "not dying" business.

Not sure if this was discussed but the Charon, the relay that humanity discovers might be a reference to Charon from Greek mythology who was a ferryman in Hades. Cerberus is also from Greek mythlogy and guards the underworld.

All this might be a hint towards Dante's "Divine Comedy" in which Cerberus and Charon appear. In the divine comedy Dante (the main character) is lost in dark woods where he meets Virgil (nod to Virgil AI and the prothean beacons) who gives him visions.

The story is told allegorically which is basically what the ME3 ending is. Shepard like Dante goes through three levels. For Dante it was Hell, Purgatory, and Heaven. For Shepard Hell might either be initially after Harbinger attacks or the hallway with all the dead bodies. Purgatory being the meeting with TIM/Anderson, and Paradise/Heaven being meeting with starchild, the reapers might be representative of the "flying angels."

Posted Image
Dante and Beatrice see God as a point of light surrounded by angels

Posted Image
Shepard meets starchild up in the heavens, Shepard sees a beam of light that starchild tries to convince you is good.

In heaven Dante meets Beatrice who basically explains creation of the universe and the role of angels (or in ME3 Shepard meets starchild who explains the role of the reapers which are center for the creation of the ME3 universe and storyline).

ME3 flips the "Divine Comedy" on its head, Dante is the story of a person who ends up closer to God. Shepard's story is of accepting faith of a false god in the reapers and succumbing to indoctrination.

Extra credit: here is also some medievel imagery in the end of ME3. The medievel view of the universe:

I dunno. East coast US dinners should have started by now and will commence between 2hrs ago and and an hour or so from now. Too late or early for lunch for anyone though, except for the middle of the Pacific Ocean, though I am on my lunch break at work.

You are having lunch right now, and I got 3 in the mid-night. Guess where am I, eh?

Moldova? ;)

It's midnight here and I'm sat with a pint of coffee and some uni notes <_<

Wait, wait. Who is from Moldova? I lived there.

Also "Dis" came from the Divine Comedy... Leviathan of Dis
